Abstract

Perguruan tinggi swasta Islam yang ada di Kota Medan merupakan perguruan tinggi yang selalu berusaha mewujudkan apa yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Dengan berbagai model dan jenis sisitem pendidikan yang ditawarkan semakin membuat tingkat persaingan yang semakin kuat dan berbagai penerapan strategy yang dijalankan secara langsung membuat masyarakat memutuskan mana yang sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan yang umumnya pendidikan dengan dasar dan teknik yang berkualitas. Tujuan peneltian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis brand strategy yang meliputi brand image, brand identity, religious value dan brand trust pada perguruan tinggi swasta islam yang ada di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis regresi berganda dengan program SPSS 16.0. Menggunakan jumlah sampel 115 mahasiswa/i di beberapa perguruan tinggi swasta islam yang ada di Kota Medan sebagai responden. Sifat penelitian ini adalah deskriptif explanatory research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel brand strategy yaitu brand image, brand identity, religious value memiliki pengrauh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel brand trust.

Abstract

This study aims to examine differences in consumer behavior of generation Y and generation Z in food purchasing decisions of Japanesse food and American food. Sampling using a stratified random sampling method of 100 consumers of Japanesse food and American food in the city of Medan. The data collection method was by distributing online questionnaires to 50 Y generation respondents and 50 generation Z questionnaires. Data analysis methods in this study were T test and factor analysis test. The results of the beza T test explain that there are differences in behavior between generation Y and generation Z in decision making. The factors that influence these differences are personal and social factors that are generated based on the factor analysis test.

Abstract

Pusat jajanan khas oleh-oleh Bengkel di Perbaungan merupakan tempat jajanan oleh-oleh bagi masyarakat khususya sumatera utara  yang selalu melintas dan melakukan perjalanan jauh antar daerah di Sumatera Utara. Melihat produk –produk olahan makanan  tertentu yang sudah dikenal dan disukai oleh para pengunjung kios namun produk makanan yang disukai tersebut masih belum memenuhi persyaratan untuk pasar yang lebih luas lagi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara label, desain, kemasan terhadap keunggulan bersaing yang ada di pusat jajanan oleh-oleh khas Bengkel Perbaungan.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi yang menjadi fokus utama adalah bagaimana citra merek menjadi yang pertama diingat di benak mahasiswa atau calon mahasiswa (top of mind). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kuantitas pelayanan terhadap citra merek pada Universitas Muhammdiyah Sumatera Utara; (2) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap citra merek pada Universitas Muhammdiyah Sumatera Utara; dan, (3) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kuantitas dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap citra merek pada Universitas Muhammdiyah Sumatera Utara. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada 99 mahasiswa aktif t.a 2017/2018. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kuantitas pelayanan berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap citra merek, kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh secara positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap citra merek, serta kuantitas pelayanan dan kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap citra merek pada Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Currently the backbone of the economy of developed countries is in creative societies. This is because the creative community will spark various ideas in the economic development of the community. The important role of this generation is to encourage change in each era, moving towards constructive and becoming a moral force that will oversee every nation's journey in its development. Muslim Millennia generation of creative ideas and innovation are expected to be able to provide solutions to the nation's problems, namely poverty and unemployment. Until now, poverty unemployment, massive exploitation of nature which ultimately led to inequality both in terms of social and economic growth is still a classic problem that requires a solution. Rice crust has contributed to moving the home industry business sector and marketing services. And is a revitalization of the value of local wisdom of the Indonesian people in the context of the creative economy.

Abstract

Performance is the result of work produced by employees and companies. Employee performance will determine the success of the company. In order for performance to provide maximum results, many factors must be considered to influence it. Factors that can affect employee performance include organizational culture, work skills and emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine the effect of Islamic organizational culture, work ability and emotional intelligence on employee performance at the Islamic Education Institute in Medan. The population in this study were all employees of the Islamic Education Institute with a sample of 98 people. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study used the classical assumption test, multiple regression, t test, F test and the coefficient of determination The results showed, partially there is a significant influence of Islamic organizational culture on employee performance, there is a significant effect of work ability on employee performance, there is a significant effect of emotional intelligence on employee performance. Simultaneously there is an influence of Islamic organizational culture, work morale and emotional intelligence on employee performance at the Islamic Education Institute in Medan City.Keywords: Employee Performance, Islamic Organizational Culture, Work Ability, Emotional Intelligence

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the activities of the roadside Muslims around the campus UMSU Medan and to know the implementation of Islamic business ethics in the business of the roadside Muslims around UMSU Medan. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research through interview and observation taking and questionnaires. The results obtained by Muslim traders around the UMSU do not do adverse elements for the buyer or consume generally in the perspective of Islamic Shariah studies.  In this implementation of Islamic business ethics includes four aspects: principle, management, marketing/advertising and product/price.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Discipline, Motivation and Work Stress on the Performance of Civil Servants at the Information Communication Service of North Sumatra Province. This study uses a quantitative research approach with a census survey method, namely using the entire population as a sample of 77 people and using a questionnaire as the main data collection tool. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of the regression analysis show that the discipline variable has a positive value with a significant influence on employee performance, the motivational variable has a positive value with a significant effect on employee performance, the work stress variable has a negative value and a significant effect on the performance of civil servants at the Informatics Communications Office of North Sumatra Province . Meanwhile, simultaneously the variables of discipline, motivation and work stress have a significant effect on the performance of civil servants at the Informatics Communications Office of North Sumatra Province

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of brand image, price, and service quality on customer satisfaction at PT Graha Interior Surfacing. This study uses quantitative data types and a research sample of 100 samples calculated using the Lemeshow formula. The results of the study partially show that brand image influences customer satisfaction at PT Graha Interior Surfacing, price influences customer satisfaction at PT Graha Interior Surfacing and service quality influences customer satisfaction at PT Graha Interior Surfacing. Simultaneously, brand image, price, and service quality affect PT Graha Interior Surfacing customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The limited knowledge of MSME entrepreneurs in Binjai Estate in managing their business finances affects the business continuity of MSMEs, causes errors in determining the amount of the cost of goods sold resulting in errors in determining the amount of the selling price, resulting in difficulty of increasing competitiveness which will affect the level of sales and profits of MSMEs. The purpose of these activities is to help MSME players increase their sales by providing simple financial management training and promoting their merchandise through social media and online shops so that later they can increase MSME sales. The methods used are observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this service activity are that Bandrek Jahe Merah and Gedebog Pisang MSMEs can already recognize the importance of business financial management and identify company assets to be separated from personal assets. However, further training is needed to assist businesses in making budgets and determining the cost of production and the cost of goods sold to determine the selling price of their products.
