Abstract

Abstract The research was conducted at the Sentani traditional market. This research aims to determine the level of quality of commercial chicken eggs circulating in the Sentani traditional market externally (in terms of egg shape, egg weight and egg shell cleanliness). The research method used is a survey method by making direct observations and measurements of the research object. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique. The results of the research show that the shapes of eggs circulating in the old market and the new market in Sentani, in order from the largest to the smallest in number, are oval, spherical, conical and biconical. The weight of eggs circulating in both markets falls into the medium and large categories. Meanwhile, the quality of egg shells from these two markets is dominated by quality A, quality AA and quality B. Externally, the best quality is in the local eggs from jayapura. Abstract

The patties formula generally uses animal fat, the presence of fat can reconstruct the texture of the product, add a distinctive taste and provide a sense of juiciness (mouthfeel) but by this composition patty burgers are included in the unhealthy food category. It is necessary to reformulate the composition of the dough by adding or replacing animal fat ingredients with other ingredients based on fat from vegetable fats.  The aim of this research was to compare the microbial and sensory quality of burger patties using red fruit oil and VCO as substitutes for animal fat in the formulation. The treatments used were patty without the addition of VCO and Red Fruit oil (RFO) as control treatment (P0) and patty with the addition of 10% RFO (P1), patty with addition of 10% VCO (P2), patty with the addition of 20% RFO (P3) and patty with addition of 20% VCO(P4). The variables observed in this research were cooking loss, total plate count (TPC) and sensory quality (color, aroma, texture an juiciness).The result showed the higher percentage of cooking loss is the treatment P2 with 10% level of VCO and the lower percentage of cooking loss is the treatment P3 with 20% level of RFO, and this result in line with other parameters like microbial quality, the safe microbial quality through the Total Plate Count assessment of the raw material patty is the treatment using red fruit oil at the 20% level and VCO at the 10 and 20% level, Meanwhile the sensory quality is for color, aroma, texture and juiciness. The highest score from the panelists was in treatment P3 which used 20% red fruit oil and the lowest score was in treatment P0 (control).

Abstract

The aim of this research were: (1) to know the percentage level of pregnancy resulting fromestrus synchronization and optimization of Artificial Insemination in the Upsus Siwab program inKeerom Regency, (2) to know the optimization level of Artificial Insemination in the 2018 UpsusSiwab program in Keerom Regency. The research method used survey methods, interviews anddocumentation. The research variable consisted of 2 variables related to estrus synchronizationactivities and optimization of artificial insemination in the 2018 Upsus Siwab program in KeeromRegency which included: (1) The percentage level of pregnancy resulting from estrussynchronization (2) The optimization level of Artificial Insemination. The results were: (1)Increasing the number of estrus synchronization acceptors; (2) The percentage of pregnancywas 61.5%; (3) The results of optimization of artificial insemination included: (a) Inseminationservice rate per pregnancy 1.62; (b) Birth rate 63 – 64%; (c) Treatment of reproductive disorders115 acceptors.

Abstract

Sago pith waste have the potential to be used as alternative animal feed by first carrying out a fermentation process because sago pith contain high crude fiber around of 30.14% and crudeprotein 4.37%. After being fermented with the right microorganism as a decomposer of crudefiber, it turns out that the nutritional yield of sago pith increased dramatically, namely Crudeprotein of sago pith after fermentation with Neurospora crassa 15.52 – 17.78%, fermented withaspergillus niger result With such changes in nutrition, fermented sago pith can be used aspoultry feed for both broiler, laying and chickens.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of tofu dregs flour levels on broiler finisher periods. Furthermore, it can be used as information about the use of tofu dregs flour as an efficient broiler finisher feed ingredient, however the resulting production remains good. This research was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment given was replacing the proportion of basal ration with tofu dregs flour, namely: R0 = 0% tofu dregs flour + 100% basal feed, R1 = 5% tofu pulp flour + 95% feed basal, R2 = 10% tofu dregs flour + 90% basal feed, R3 = 15% tofu dregs flour + 85% basal feed. The parameters observed were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion. The use of tofu dregs flour at a percentage of 10% (R2) in the finisher period broiler ration resulted in the highest feed consumption, weight gain and the lowest value for feed conversion when compared with basal feed.

Abstract

Penyelidikan ini berupaya untuk memastikan dampak konsumsi jus daun sirih terhadap penyakit tersebutpersentase daya tetas dan mortalitas embrio (Dead Embrio) telur ayam KUB. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi Scince Techno Park Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang, Jln. Telaga Warna Blok G, RT 07 / RW 06, (Tlogomas) Kota Malang Jawa Timur, pada tanggal 17 Mey 2023– 12 Juni 2023. Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan digunakan dalam penyelidikan ini. P0 (konsentrasi 0%), P1 (5 ml sari daun sirih + 100 ml air suling), P2 (10 ml sari daun sirih + 100 ml air suling), dan P3 (15 ml sari daun sirih + 100 ml air suling) adalah perawatannya. ANOVA digunakan untuk menguji variabel, dan analisis uji BNJ kemudian dilakukan untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan antar perlakuan jika varians menunjukkan dampak yang sebenarnya (P 0,05). Daya tetas dan kematian embrio merupakan faktor yang dinilai. Tingkat dosis penggunaan sari daun sirih hingga 15 ml mempunyai dampak besar terhadap daya tetas dan kematian embrio, menurut temuan analisis statistik. Tetapi P2 menghasilkan persentase daya tetas terbesar (92,50%) dan persentase kematian terendah (7,04%). Meningkatkan persentase daya tetas maka sari daun sirih dapat digunakan sebagai bahan desinfektan telur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh partisipasi perempuan dalam urusan domestik, terutama dalam hal pemeliharaan ternak babi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2023 berlokasi di Kelurahan Karubaga, Distrik Karubaga Kabupaten Tolikara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan cara turun langsung ke lokasi penelitian untuk mengamati fenomena yang ada serta mencari informasi kepada peternak babi terkait hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposif, dengan mengambil peternak babi perempuan yang berpartisipasi aktif dalam pemelihraan ternak babi sebanyak lima belas peternak sebagai responden. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah curahan waktu perempuan dalam kerja rutin dalam kegiatan persiapan 18 menit/hari, perjalanan dari rumah ke kandang 6,2 menit/hari, mencari dan mengolah bahan pakan 73 menit/hari, memberi makan dan minum 27 menit/hari, memandikan ternak babi 27 menit/hari serta membersihkan kandang babi 22.33 menit/hari; sedangkan curahan waktu perempuan dalam kerja tidak rutin/insidental dalam kegiatan perbaikan kandang babi 9,2 jam/tahun, pengadaan bibit 1,2 jam/tahun, penyapihan anak babi 1,8 jam/tahun, pengobatan/perawatan kesehatan babi 5,07 jam/tahun, mengawinkan ternak babi 1,87 jam/tahun, membantu proses kelahiran ternak babi 10,87 jam/tahun serta penjualan ternak 5,07 jam/tahun, dan partisiasi perempuan dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam kegitan pemilihan dan pembelian bibit, penjualan ternak dan penggunaan keuangan 100% perempuan berpartisipasi. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah partisipasi perempuan dalam kegiatan rutin dilakukan selama hampir 3 jam/hari, sedangkan kagitan tidak rutin digunakan waktu sebanyak 35,33 jam/tahun dan perempuan 100% berpartsispasi dalam pengambilan keputusan dalam pemelihraan ternak babi.
