Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Project-based Multi-Representation Discourse model in improving students’ science process skills. The method used was the quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group research design. The population in this study was VII graders of SMP N 17 Tegal. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling techniques. The data were taken through tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the students learning using the Project-based Multi-Representation Discourselearning model had an average N-gain percentage of 72.27%. The percentage score was higher than the students studying using the Multi-Representation Discourse (MRD) learning model which had an average N-gain percentage of 42.50%. The results of the data analysis showed that the Project-based Multi-Representation Discourselearning model is effective enough to be applied and has an effect on improving science process skills.

Abstract

Local microorganisms (MOL) contain fermented solutions made from various local resources. MOL solution has the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer because it contains microorganisms that can increase plant growth. This study aims to determine the characteristics of MOL based on different sources of microorganisms obtained from food ingredients typical of Bangka Belitung, as well as to determine their effectiveness on the growth of Ipomoea reptans (L.) Poir. This experimental study used a two-factorial completely randomized design (CRD), namely the type of MOL (without giving MOL (M0), MOL made from Bangka shrimp paste (M1), MOL made from rusip (M2), and MOL made from kitchen waste (M3)) and MOL dose (0% (D0), 15% (D1), 25% (D2), and 50% (D3)). Each treatment was repeated 2 times with a total of 32 experimental units. The variables observed were the characteristics of MOL after 1 week of incubation and the effect of giving MOL on the growth of Ipomoea reptans (L.) Poir 14 days after planting (HST). Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS software version 25 using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method and Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT) with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that all MOL treatments were successfully fermented with characteristics of sour aroma, liquid texture, produce CO2, acidic pH, and presence of bacteria and mold. The results of ANOVA showed that the factor of giving the type of MOL and the interaction both factor had a significant effect on all observation parameters. However, the MOL dose factor did not significantly affect all observation parameters. Treatment of interaction the type and dose of MOL M2D1 can increase the response of the number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, shoot dry weight, and root dry weight of Ipomoea reptans (L.) Poirs. The teratment of M1D3 increased the height response of Ipomoea reptans (L.) Poirs.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem which must be solved and eradicated. School is the most place of bullying action, since students come from different social background are gathered in a long time. This research investigates the case of bullying in A Girl Like Her movie. The investigations are limited into three main problems. They are type, cause, and effect of bullying. This research uses descriptive qualitatuve approach as the method analysis. The results show there are four types of bullying found in the movie, they are verbal 52.4%, physical 19%, cyber 14.3%, and relation 14.3%. The most type of bullying is verbal. Later, the cause of bullying which found in this movie is only social factor, since the intimidator has a parental problem in her family. Lastly, the effect of bullying to the victim are stress, emotional disorder, and behaviour disorder for the serious problem by trying to kill her self by drinking over dose medicine.

Abstract

Plant-based food waste such as fruit peels contain various high-value bioactive compounds that have the potential to be used as functional ingredients in the food and pharmaceutical industries. One of the innovative methods used to extract these compounds is Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE), which is known to be efficient, environmentally friendly, and able to maintain the quality of active compounds. This article aims to systematically review the effectiveness of UEA in extracting bioactive compounds from fruit peels such as, mangosteen, pear, and kiwi. A literature study was conducted by analyzing five main articles in the period 2015-2025. The results of the study showed that UEA was able to increase the yield, total phenolic and flavonoid content, and antioxidant activity significantly compared to conventional methods. The effectiveness of UEA is greatly influenced by the type of solvent, sonication time, temperature, ultrasonic power, and sample-solvent ratio. Therefore, UEA is a sustainable technology that promises to utilize food waste into high-value products. Keywords : bioactive compounds, food waste, fruit peels, ultrasound-assisted extraction.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of women in the industrial sector in West Aceh, especially in agriculture and home industry and to determine the dual role of housewives on resilience in the family economy in Gampong Pasie Aceh Baru, Meurebo District. In this study, the author includes the formulation of the problem to be known, namely that with the research, it can solve problems such as how the dual role of women (housewives) in meeting and improving welfare in the household economy. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with interview and observation techniques to collect information from women who are active in both sectors. The research findings indicate that women make a significant contribution to the local economy through agricultural activities and processing household products. They not only function as workers, but also play a role as decision makers at the family and community levels. However, there are several challenges, including limited access to training and resources, and social norms that hinder their role. And each activity carried out by these housewives has different incomes depending on their respective jobs. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the development of policies that support women's empowerment in rural areas.
