Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android Mobile Game Based on Edutainment Strategy for class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak who reach the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness with the borg and gall model. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII SMP as many as 30 students and 3 media and material experts. The instruments used in this study were media expert validation sheets, teacher responses and student responses, and problem solving ability test questions. The results of validation research on Android Mobile Game Based on Edutainment Strategy are media validation with an average value of 94.28% from the three experts in the very good category. The second is the value of practicality, seen from the value of the questionnaire filled out by the teacher and all students who are accumulated so that a percentage of 92.40% is obtained with very practical criteria. Furthermore, the effectiveness, seen from the value of the results of student posttest work with the number of students who completed as many as 20 people out of 30 people and the average value of students calculated by the formula for the average score and percentage with in the overall student score so that a score of 85.20 was obtained based in the school's KKM score of 75, then the average student test results have complete criteria and are classified as very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in solving logarithm problems based on learning styles at SMA Negeri 1 Ledo. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with students categorized into visual, auditori, and kinesthetic learning styles based on a learning style questionnaire. Data were collected through written tests and interviews, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The findings indicate that visual learners experienced difficulties in understanding basic logarithm concepts, auditori learners struggled to apply logarithm properties accurately, while kinesthetic learners had problems initiating and sequencing solution steps. Factors contributing to these difficulties include lack of conceptual understanding, procedural errors, and limited practice. The study suggests that teachers should adopt teaching methods aligned with students’ learning styles to reduce learning difficulties and improve mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana variasi gaya mengajar guru, menganalisis kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan variasi gaya mengajar dan usaha-usaha yang dilakukan guru dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan variasi gaya mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas VIII SMPN 16 Pontianak yaitu G1 dan G2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi . Langkah-langkah penelitian dimulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian hasil, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu menerapkan variasi gaya mengajar guru, Ibu Ayu dan Ibu Fitri menerapkan variasi gaya mengajar guru yang berdasarkan 6 indikator yaitu, variasi suara, memusatkan perhatian siswa, mengadakan diam sejenak, kontak pandang, gerakan anggota badan, dan pindah posisi. Kendala yang dihadapi Ibu Ayu dikelas VIII suara guru yang kecil ketika mengajar, kemudian ketika membawa anak dalam pembelajaran serius tapi santai, anak menjadi terbawa suasana santai, dan pembahasan anak terkadang diluar dari pembahasan pada materi yang dipelajari saat itu. Sedangkan kendala yang dihadapi Ibu Fitri dikelas VIII untuk menciptakan kelas yang kondusif guru kesulitan mengendalikan tingkah laku siswa karena pasti ada beberapa siswa didalam kelas yang tidak benar-benar dalam belajar, membuat kelas menjadi berisik. Sehingga membuat guru menaikkan intonasi suara menjadi tinggi. Usaha-usaha yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala di kelas Ibu ayu yaitu menggunakan mic, melakukan ice breaking, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Sedangkan usaha-usaha yang dilakukan Ibu Fitri yang menerapkan variasi gaya mengajar yang baik dengan berdasarkan 6 indikator tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to explore mathematical objects in the Balale’ tradition of the Dayak Salako tribe in Nyarumkop Village and then integrate them into the Creation of Culture-Based Modules. The research method used is the ethnographic method, and the type of research used is qualitative. The Balale’ tradition is one of the habits of the Nyarumkop farmers when working the rice fields collectively and in rotation. The Balale’ tradition aims to strengthen relations between communities, because the community works together in the fields to complete tasks such as clearing land, planting rice, clearing grass, and harvesting rice. The results of the study show that the Balale’ tradition has a direct mathematical object in the form of facts that lie in the people who join the lale’an members, the concept lies in the process of working the rice fields which are carried out in turns, the principle lies in the mindset of the community in carrying it out and the skills lies in the work technique of each member of Lale’an. This research also contains indirect mathematical objects in the form of discipline shown by Lale’an members in carrying out this tradition. Then it is mathematically integrated into the creation of a culture-based SPLDV Module using mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical literacy abilities based on the level of mathematical connection ability using a qualitative descriptive approach. The researcher as the main instrument was assisted by test questions to measure the ability to connect mathematics and mathematical literacy, as well as interviews. The research subjects were 3 class IX students of SMP Islam Pakis. Subject selection was made based on high, medium, and low levels of mathematical connection ability. The results showed: The selection of research subjects was carried out by purposive sampling technique based on high, medium, and low levels of mathematical connection ability. The results of the data analysis obtained: (1) students at a high level of mathematical connection succeeded in achieving all indicators of mathematical literacy ability, such as being able to identify the information contained in the problem, make mathematical models, do reasoning, use symbols, design and implement appropriate problem strategies, summarizing the results, as well as conducting evaluations; (2) students who are categorized in the moderate level of mathematical connection ability are able to achieve five of the seven indicator components contained in mathematical literacy ability; (3) students who belong to a low level of mathematical connection ability are only able to achieve three of the seven indicator components needed in literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the results of literacy and numeracy skills reviewed from students' cognitive styles. This study uses qualitative research methods. The form of this research is a case study. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. The subjects of this study are students in grade VII F who have studied integer material. The subjects to be interviewed consisted of 4 students based on the categories of Field Independent and Field Dependent cognitive styles. The subject of this study was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study are the GEFT test, written test and interview guidelines. The data produced was analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the study showed that students with mathematical literacy and numeracy skills in the FD category were only able to achieve 2 indicators out of 3 indicators. This is because students with the FD category also tend to hesitate and easily give up in dealing with the problems they face, while with the FI category students are able to meet 3 indicators. This is because students with the FI category are always optimistic and do not give up easily in solving the problems they face.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII dalam memahami materi volume kubus dan balok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan 25 siswa SMP Kalam Kudus Pontianak yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian dan wawancara, dengan soal yang mencakup indikator berpikir kritis meliputi interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori cukup baik, sementara hanya sebagian kecil yang mencapai kategori sangat baik maupun sangat kurang. Dengan demikian, secara umum kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Kalam Kudus Pontianak dapat dikategorikan cukup baikKata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Volume Kubus Dan Balok
