Abstract

Travel across border give opportunity to people to immerse in a diverse groups and  societies. It is hoped to enrich life experiences that lays the groundwork for the creation of  more harmonious and tolerant societies. Religious moderation, especially in Indonesian context, require tolerance, anti-violence, the sense of nationality and local culture acceptance from its citizen to maintain the harmonious, moreover, the unity of Indonesia as a country.  Unfortunately, some Muslim youths were found to have low tolerance toward different religion groups. This study aims to assess if Muslim youths with international exposure have good moderation perspectives and practices in religion, including tolerance. This study is a quantitative descriptive with the help of survey tool to collect data from Muslim youths with international experiences. The analysis was carried out using univariate analysis. The results depict that more than 90% of the 155 respondents have good perspectives and practices toward religious moderation. Only practice of tolerance has slightly lower percentage which is 89%. More international programs for Muslim youths are encouraged to help them increase the level of tolerance toward differences

Abstract

Pada tulisan ini penulis berusaha untuk melihat bagaimana dampak media sosial terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan yang berada di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Kehadiran media sosial telah mampu mengubah pola komunikasi pustakawan. Di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Kalijaga rata-rata pustakawan menggunakan media sosial. Penggunaan media sosial mempunyai dampak negatif terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Pustakawan dalam kesehariannya saat ini lebih cenderung untuk melakukan komunikasi di media sosial daripada melakukan komunikasi interpersonal secara langsung. Padahal komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan secara tatap muka (langsung) mempunyai dampak yang besar terhadap kemajuan ataupun pengembangan perpustakaan. Dengan komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan lebih merasa dihargai, sehingga akan tumbuh ide-ide kreatif guna pengembangan perpustakaan. Kehadiran media sosial bukan hanya berdampak pada komunikasi interpersonal tetapi juga berdampak pada hubungan interpersonal pustakawan. Media sosial telah mengubah sikap dan gaya hidup pustakawan, pustakawan yang pada mulanya bersikap ramah akan mengalami perubahan menjadi cuek dengan keadaan disekitarnya karena perhatiannya telah dialihkan pada media sosial.

Abstract

This study explores the representation of women in children's storybooks through in-depth content analysis. The study found that female protagonists are often portrayed in stereotypical traditional roles, such as loving mothers or supportive friends, while male protagonists tend to be portrayed as strong and courageous leaders. Female supporting characters also tend to have passive and subordinate roles, often only as a complement to the male main character. The narratives in many children's storybooks reinforce gender stereotypes, despite increased efforts to raise themes of equality and women's empowerment. Illustrations in storybooks also play an important role in reinforcing or challenging gender perceptions, with women often depicted in domestic activities and men in more active activities. The results of this study emphasize the importance of creating a more inclusive and diverse children's literacy to form a fairer and more balanced gender perception among children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Anaslisis data dalam penelitian melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi sudah mengimplementasikan perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial sesuai dengan diamanatkan Perpustakaan Nasional RI sejak Tahun 2019 atas dasar inisiatif pustakawan Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi. Pengimplementasian perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi melalui peningkatan literasi dengan penyediaan informasi yang dibutuhkan masyarakat, melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan yang dibutuhkan masyarakat yang berdampak terhadap perekonomian masyarakat serta menambah ilmu pengetahuan yang menjadikan masyarakat lebih literat. Kendala yang dihadapi Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi dalam menjalankan program perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial adalah kurangnya anggaran dana dan sumbar daya manusia.

Abstract

Introduction. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of user education in the Technical Implementation Unit of the Library of the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, the obstacles faced by user education in supporting information services at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Library of the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi and the efforts made to overcome these obstacles. faced by user education in supporting information services at the Library Technical Implementation Unit of the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Research methods. This study uses qualitative research methods, the method of determining the subject is done by purposive sampling. Data analysis. The collection method used in the form of interviews, observations, documentation and data analysis, informants in this study are the Head of the Library, Librarian and Librarian. Results and Discussion. The result of this research is that user education at the Library Technical Implementation Unit of the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi is carried out every year for new students. The material provided during user education is material related to everything about libraries, services and library collections. The methods used in the implementation of user education are lectures, library tours and manuals. The obstacles faced were the lack of awareness and awareness of students about user education, inadequate time and limited facilities and infrastructure, while the efforts made were to motivate new students to take user education, create special classes and improve facilities and infrastructure.
