Purpose Research. The research objective was to identify the literacy skills of Merangin 53 Remote Junior High School students. Research Method. This study used a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis Data. The Spradley model was used in the analysis. The analysis steps consisted of determining participants, interviewing, making an ethnographic record, asking descriptive questions, analyzing the interviews, making a domain analysis, asking structural questions, making a taxonomic analysis, asking contrast questions, discovering cultural themes, and writing an ethnography Results. Literacy topics of Merangin 53 Junior High School students encompassed access to information, lack of literacy skills, literacy learning methods that rely on the teacher, guidance and mentoring, and literacy for effective school activity. Conclusions. Some topics collected from literacy skills included the influence of culture and the situation in the remote school. Some influences on literacy skills encompassed difficult access to roads, internet connections, transportation, and students' socioeconomic conditions. Pendahuluan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membuktikan apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara desain sampul buku terhadap minat baca pada ruang koleksi anak di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Tanjung Jabung Timur Provinsi Jambi. Hal ini didasarkan pada pentingnya desain sampul buku terhadap minat membaca anak-anak dalam memilih jenis koleksi bahan pustaka. Metode Penelitian. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Adapun pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan penyebaran angket atau kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket atau kuesioner dibagikan kepada 256 anak-anak yang menjadi anggota di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Tanjung Jabung Timur. Data analisis. Adapun teknik analisis data yang yang digunakan yaitu analisis data deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hal ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara desain sampul buku dan minat baca. Hasil dan Pembahasan. Hasil penelitian pada pengujian normalitas mempunyai hubungan antara desain sampul buku terhadap minat baca anak-anak di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Tanjung Jabung Timur yang ditujukkan dengan nilai pearson chi square pada Asymp. Sig. (2-sided)0,007 < 0,05 dan dinyatakan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. sedangkan pada pengujian linearitas mempunyai hubungan yang linear dengan minat baca dikarenakan nilai sig lebih besar dibandingkan taraf signifikan yakni sebesar 0,499, dimana 0,499 > 0,05. Pada pengujian hipotesis dinyatakan mempunyai pengaruh dan signifikan antara desain sampul buku terhadap minat baca anak-anak yang dinyatakan dengan nilai t_hitung > t_tabel yakni 9,888 > 1,650. Namun, hubungan antara desain sampul buku terhadap minat baca sebesar 27,8% dan sisanya sebesar 72,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulan dan Saran. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, bahwa desain sampul buku dan minat baca mempunyai hubungan ataupun pengaruh sebesar 27,8%. Sehingga dengan adanya hal ini, maka dalam melakukan pengadaan koleksi bahan pustaka hendaknya juga memperhatikan desain sampul buku.

The purpose of this study was to determine the management, constraints and efforts to manage rare collections at the Jambi City Archives and Library Service. This research uses qualitative research, descriptive research approach, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. During the observation of the Jambi City Archives and Library Service, there were rare collections that did not appear to have received preservation or treatment. In this study using the theory from Sutarno's book title library management. Rare Collection Management at the Jambi City Archives and Library Service shows that rare collection management is carried out with several activities, namely: 1. selection of rare collections by taking from the deposit collection, classifying rare collections using DDC, cataloging using the InlisLite application, labeling books, to storing rare collections in the reference room. 2. The obstacles experienced by library staff in managing rare collections are: Unstructured grouping of rare collections, and also no special room for rare collections, lack of human resources (Human Resources) who understand in repairing library materials and lack of tools to repair library materials, lack of library users' awareness of maintaining rare collections. 3. Collection is the most important thing in the Library, but the collections contained must also comply with applicable standards. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the National Library Standards (SNP 699: 2017) at the Archives and Library Service of Jambi City, especially related to the management of library collections. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The method of determining the subjects in this study is by Purposive Sampling using the Miles and Huberman model analysis, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that aspects that are in accordance with the SNP include types of collections, collections per capita, and collection preservation, which indicate the diversity of collections and attention to collection maintenance. Meanwhile, aspects of collection development and collection up-to-dateness are almost in accordance, although there are shortcomings in written policies and the number of recent collections that have not reached the standards required by the SNP. On the other hand, aspects that are not fully in accordance with the SNP include the procurement of library materials, where the budget allocated is much lower than the needs regulated by the SNP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Anaslisis data dalam penelitian melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi sudah mengimplementasikan perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial sesuai dengan diamanatkan Perpustakaan Nasional RI sejak Tahun 2019 atas dasar inisiatif pustakawan Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi. Pengimplementasian perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi melalui peningkatan literasi dengan penyediaan informasi yang dibutuhkan masyarakat, melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan yang dibutuhkan masyarakat yang berdampak terhadap perekonomian masyarakat serta menambah ilmu pengetahuan yang menjadikan masyarakat lebih literat. Kendala yang dihadapi Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Jambi dalam menjalankan program perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial adalah kurangnya anggaran dana dan sumbar daya manusia.

ABSTRACT Introduction. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the Head of the Library in encouraging the promotion / functional position of librarian in the Regional Library and Archives Service of Jambi Province and to find out what are the factors that hinder the promotion and functional position of librarian as well as the efforts of the Head of Librarian in encouraging promotion. and librarian functional positions at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Jambi Province. Data Collection Method. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling approach. Result and Discussion. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Head of the Library in encouraging the promotion / functional position of librarian in the Regional Library and Archives Service of Jambi Province has not fully provided a role, especially for librarians who have problems collecting credit numbers and are late in promotion / functional librarian position. Inhibiting factors in promotion / functional position of librarian caused by: 1). The assessment team who sometimes judges are not objective in providing value. 2). Differences in perceptions between the assessment team in assessing the physical evidence of librarians. 3). The assessment team's draft was issued late. 4). Librarian functional officers do not understand how to fill out the DUPAK correctly. 5). Librarian functional officers are less creative or lazy to collect credit scores. 6). Workload that does not match the number of librarians. The effort of the Head of the Library in encouraging promotion and functional position of librarian at the Regional Library and Archives Service of Jambi Province is to be temporarily suspended from the Librarian Functional Position if it is 5 years late to collect credit figures, besides that it will also be transferred to a structural position. Another effort is planning this year to hold a DUPAK preparation workshop which aims to enable librarians to be able and know how to properly compile DUPAK based on JUKNIS. Conclusions. 1). It is expected that the Head of Service will pay attention to the librarian functional officials. 2). It is hoped that the assessment team can provide values transparently and fairly. 3). It is hoped that it can create an activity program aimed at motivating librarians in collecting credit scores

ABSTRACT Introduction. This research intends to simplify and speed up the process of developing a conventional library of government science study programs and increasing the diversity of collections in digital form. The implementation of e-governance in the library field begins with the use of cloud computing by using Google Drive, users can get references easily and quickly. Google drive was chosen because it is easy to use and understand by lay people who do not have a librarian background because the Government Science study program does not have a librarian. Data Collection Methods. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Starting from observation, interviews to documentation. Data Analysis. Data analysis uses reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Results and Discussion. The application of Google Drive as an alternative to digital libraries in the Government Science study program library, consists of several work systems such as contributors, admins, and users. There are obstacles such as copyright, user education, scanner, service, content, budget, and e-books in foreign languages. The advantages are low cost, easy to implement and information preservation, while the disadvantages are less efficient access systems and internet connections. Conclusion. This study aims to determine the contribution of the Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA) Library in developing fine arts. This study uses descriptive qualitative, while for data collection using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. To analyze the results of the research, using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and verification (drawing conclusions. From the results of the study it is known that IVAA has contributed to the development of fine arts, namely as a place of recreation and a source of information, as a preserver of works of art, as a place of recreation). reference to fine art collections, as a place of education, and as a place for creative writing in the field of fine arts. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa IVAA memiliki kontribusi dalam mengembangkan seni rupa, yaitu sebagai tempat rekreasi dan sumber informasi, sebagai pelestari karya seni rupa, sebagai tempat referensi koleksi seni rupa, sebagai ltempat edukasi, dan sebagai wadah kreatifitas kepenulisan dalam bidang seni rupa. Hambatan dalam pelaksanaan peran tersebut yaitu dana yang terbatas, Sumber daya manusia, serta kebanyakan koleksi berbahasa asing.

Pustakawan merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam sebuah perpustakaan. Hal ini dikarenakan, pustakawan memiliki pengaruh penting dalam pengelolaan yang terjadi pada perpustakaan. Tanpa adanya pustakawan, perpustakaan tidak akan berjalan dengan baik. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut perlu adanya pemilihan dan pelatihan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) agar program yang telah direncanakan sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Selain itu, untuk dikenal oleh masyarakat, perlu adanya promosi. Dengan adanya promosi diharapkan perpustakaan akan semakin dikenal dan dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat. ABSTRACT Librarians are one of the important aspects in a library. This is because, librarians have important influences in management that occur in libraries. Without librarians, the library will not run well. To achieve this goal, the selection and training of Human Resources (HR) is needed so that the planned program is in accordance with what is expected. In addition, to be known by the public, there needs to be a promotion. With the promotion it is hoped that the library will be better known and utilized by the community.
