Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted the global way of life in a positive manner. However, it has also brought about negative consequences, particularly in the form of cybercrime. This article explores cybercrime, focusing specifically on cases of online data theft in Indonesia. Through a mixed research method, it can be identified that Indonesia is facing serious challenges related to cybersecurity, marked by a series of data leaks involving both government and private entities. The research also delves into the potential for online data theft in the policy transition from the National Identity Card (Kartu Tanda Penduduk or KTP) to the Digital Population Identity (Identitas Kependudukan Digital or IKD) in Indonesia. By detailing previous data leakage cases, this study indicates that the implementation of IKD in Indonesia needs to be reassessed. The conclusion drawn from the research is that efforts to enhance cybersecurity in Indonesia require concrete and collaborative measures, including the development of consistent regulations, the improvement of human resources in the field of cybersecurity, and better awareness among the public and government regarding the importance of protecting personal data. The study suggests further research to delve into the effectiveness of cybersecurity regulations in Indonesia and to understand the variables that influence public and governmental awareness regarding personal data protection.

Abstract

This year’s Presidential and Vice-Presidential election is a political power struggle that will determine the future of the Indonesian nation. This qualitative research aims to assess electoral politics, specifically the electability of each candidate pair based on key political elements. The research method used is a literature review, with secondary data obtained from journal articles, books, and online sources. The results of the study indicate that trends in candidate electability can be measured through the harmonization of political survey results and the configuration of each candidate’s electability. The candidate pairs incorporate political elements such as identity politics, political blunders, work programs, elite or key actors, public gimmicks and sensationalism, and political maneuvers, as seen in the campaigns of Anies-Muhaimin, Prabowo-Gibran, and Ganjar-Mahfud. These political elements, which have long existed in Indonesia’s political arena (conventional elements), often dramatically shift the electoral strength of each camp. The candidates must manage these political elements to their electoral advantage if they wish to increase their electability and win the election. This study examines the strategy of capitalizing on voter behavior in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Abstract

This paper aims to challenge his studies (Bonotti and Seglow, 2017; Eiedat,2017; Fenton, 2016; Kaul, 2017; Kraidy and Krikorian, 2017; Nachi, 2016), which see religion and public sphere, but minus the context of Pancasila ideology. And perfecting his study Asrori (2016) who saw religion-in this case religious education in the context of the Pancasila ideology, but minus the study of public sphere in his study. Thus, this paper seeks to synthesize the position of religion in public sphere of Indonesia which has the ideology of Pancasila, and what is the policy alternative of the religious dilemma that is "brought" into public sphere of Indonesia? By using a qualitative approach, the library research method with a review of various international and national journal articles, and book reviews, this study produces at least two important findings, namely, first, religion and the state cannot be dichotomized in the ideology of Pancasila. Freedom of expressing religiosity in the public sphere becomes an embedded principle in the ideology of the Pancasila. Its implications for religious freedom in the public sphere are absolutely regulated fairly and wisely based on the principles of Pancasila. Secondly, the State and "internal" Religion needs to synergize in building freedom of expression in the public sphere; every religion in expressing its religiosity in the public sphere needs to pay attention to universal values. That is, "language" religion expressed in public sphere must have a "universal framework" that can be accepted by other citizens

Abstract

This study aims to show that "smart cities" are smart society. Smart cities apply the principle of meritocracy in every policy, including education policy. With the perspective of functional structure sociology as a analysis, and examining facts through literature, this study also shows that the foundations of the myth of Meritocracy and the theory of correspondence do not hold firm that social reproduction in society is obvious, but our argument, the social status of the actor is not always linear with the actor's social status. Social mobility will be realized because the principle of meritocracy is applied in every policy. As a result, meritocratic policies are the main principles of smart sociological cities (apart from system integration and application of technology in a city).
