Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the importance of effective financial record management practices and efficient marketing techniques for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in escalating corporate competition. Study design/methodology/approach: This study adopts an exploratory approach to examine the role of accounting as a methodical process encompassing the recording, classification, consolidation, manipulation, and communication of financial information, transactions, and events. It also explores how integrating technology can amplify product marketing endeavors for MSMEs. Findings: The study finds that adopting effective financial record management practices and efficient marketing techniques is crucial for MSMEs in today's competitive business environment. Accounting serves as an essential instrument in aiding financial planning and administration, while the integration of technology facilitates broader outreach to a more comprehensive demographic of consumers. Originality/value: This study highlights the importance of financial record management and marketing for MSMEs and provides insights into how accounting and technology can contribute to their success. The study also emphasizes the significance of providing educational resources, advisory services, and assistance in accounting, finance, and digital marketing to help individuals gain knowledge and improve their financial and marketing skills.

Abstract

Purpose: The specific aim was to provide training in making Snack towers, gift items made from snacks shaped like tarts or birthday cakes. These towers serve as an alternative option for gifts during important occasions. Study design/methodology/approach: The community service activity involved conducting training sessions in Snack tower making for the residents of Julukanaya Village to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to create Snack towers. The production process was designed to be cost-effective, allowing for adjustments based on individual budget constraints. The affordability of Snack towers led to high demand among the public. Findings: The community service activity successfully trained the residents of Julukanaya Village, enabling them to acquire new skills. The interest and enthusiasm of the community members were encouraged through this program, with the potential to increase their economic income. The Snack Tower production was identified as a contemporary business opportunity, presenting a viable option for new entrepreneurs. The Snack Tower business can also create employment opportunities for the surrounding community. Originality/value: The affordability and popularity of Snack towers make them a valuable option for gifts and presents during important occasions. The collaboration between the community and the trainers in this program can unleash the entrepreneurial potential of the Julukanaya Village community and contribute to the region's economic growth.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve literacy and digital-based financial recording skills among women entrepreneurs in Padanglampe Village, especially Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) members who still rely on manual recording. The program is designed to provide ongoing education, introduce relevant digital finance applications, and offer assistance and consultation on their use. Research Design and Methodology: The activities were conducted through presentations on basic accounting materials, training on digital financial recording, demonstrations of the BukuWarung application and similar applications, and interactive discussion sessions. The approach used was socialization, hands-on practice, and participatory mentoring, actively involving partners throughout the entire process. Findings and Discussion: The results of the activity showed an increase in partners' knowledge of digital financial recording concepts and ease of use of smartphone-based financial recording applications. Partners also gained a greater understanding of basic accounting and financial recording, and a greater awareness of the importance of consistent financial recording. The participants' enthusiasm was evident in their active involvement in question-and-answer sessions, discussions, and the practical use of the application. Implications: This activity provides practical benefits for women entrepreneurs, especially in improving the efficiency of digital-based business financial management. The program also opens up opportunities for developing basic accounting consulting services and sustainable digital recording for rural communities.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to improve the entrepreneurial capacity of PKK mothers in Padang Lampe Village through training based on local potential, encourage the use of village resources for independent business development, and strengthen the family economy. Research Design and Methodology: The research used a descriptive-qualitative approach with participatory methods, involving Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) mothers as the main participants, along with the village government and local stakeholders. The activity lasted three months, spanning the stages of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and product evaluation. Findings and Discussion: The study's results show that local, potential-based entrepreneurship training can improve participants' knowledge, production skills, and packaging skills. Participants can recognize the potential of their villages and turn it into products of economic value, while also demonstrating increased motivation, collaboration, and readiness to form new businesses. This program also produced an Entrepreneurship Module that can be used as a sustainable guide. Implications: This activity strengthens the village entrepreneurship ecosystem by increasing women's capacity, leveraging local potential, and providing institutional support to villages. This program can be used as an implementable model for community empowerment based on local resources in other regions.
