Abstract

Improving curriculum management standards must continually be pursued to achieve optimal curriculum management goals, particularly at the elementary school level. This study aims to explore the importance of curriculum management in elementary schools. The method used is qualitative with a literature review approach involving analysis of literature from various sources such as books, articles, and other documents. Miles and Huberman's analysis is employed to analyze qualitative data, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that curriculum management plays a crucial role in supporting educational sustainability. However, in practice, curriculum management faces various challenges, both from educators and students. Ongoing efforts are being made to ensure smooth curriculum implementation and minimize potential obstacles throughout the process

Abstract

Pembelajaran tematik di sekolah dasar (SD) menghadapi tantangan serius, seperti rendahnya keterlibatan siswa aktif dan kurangnya inovasi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar, yang disebabkan oleh pendekatan konvensional berbasis ceramah, sehingga menghambat kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pengembangan bahan ajar tematik di SD melalui studi literatur sistematis, dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder dari jurnal ilmiah, buku teks pendidikan, dan laporan penelitian periode 2015–2025, yang diakses melalui database seperti Google Scholar, ResearchGate, dan Sinta, lalu dianalisis menggunakan teknik konten kualitatif (simak, catat, sintesis). Hasil temuan utama menunjukkan PBL efektif mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran tematik, seperti IPA, bahasa Indonesia, dan matematika, melalui masalah kehidupan nyata, meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa hingga 20-30%, keaktifan partisipasi, kolaborasi kelompok, dan kemandirian belajar, dengan guru sebagai fasilitator, meskipun tantangan seperti manajemen waktu dan sumber daya memerlukan perencanaan dan dukungan sekolah. Kesimpulan, PBL sangat direkomendasikan untuk bahan ajar tematik SD karena mendukung pembentukan siswa yang kompeten dan adaptif sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan implikasi perlunya pelatihan intensif bagi guru dan pengembangan kurikulum yang lebih luas.
