Abstract

The role of students in Indonesia is needed, especially their ideas and opinions to develop this country. The quality of human resources is certainly very relevant to students' interest in reading. Reading habits are not only related to the teaching and learning process, but also can shape the personality of an individual by living the reading results. The research aims to study the process of reading habits and reading preferences favored by students. The research method used was a descriptive survey involving 45 students of non-English students in Az-Zainiyah Nurul Jadid. In obtaining data to find out the problems faced by students in understanding English reading texts, a questionnaire was used relating to reading habits and reading preferences. The findings from this study are expected to be used as an evaluation material that reading skills also need to be introduced further to students so that they can use them in the reading process.

Abstract

disebabkan karena perubahan fisiologis selama kehamilan. Adanya nyeri punggung ini mampu menghambat aktivitas ibu yang menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan, sehingga perlu ditangani. Salah satu yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui kompres hangat dengan suhu 40? - 50?. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan kompres hangat untuk menurunkan nyeri punggung pada ibu hamil trimester III. Metode karya tulis ilmiah ini menggunakan studi kasus. Instrumen studi kasus menggunakan instrumen pengukuran skala nyeri deskriptif dan standar operasional prosedur kompres hangat. Hasil studi kasus yang dilakukan selama 3 hari menunjukkan adanya perubahan intensitas nyeri pada kedua ibu hamil yaitu dari skala nyeri sedang menurun menjadi skala nyeri ringan. Simpulan studi kasus adalah penerapan kompres hangat dapat menurunkan nyeri punggung pada ibu hamil trimester III. Disarankan kepada tenaga kesehatan untuk menerapkan atau mengajarkan terapi kompres hangat pada ibu hamil trimester III dalam menurunkan nyeri punggung.

Abstract

Teacher creativity and teaching effectiveness are two inseparable variables that affect student learning outcomes, this is the focus of this service activity. This service activity is proposed with 3 (three) things behind it, namely 1) evaluation of the results of the 2019 service, that 100% of teachers have implemented online learning; 2) the results of the team's experience in managing online learning at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik; 3) The need to increase teacher competence in terms of developing HOTS-oriented innovative teaching materials, as demanded by 21st-century teachers. Based on these problems, through this PKM program, a solution is offered with the Assistance program to develop innovative HOTS-oriented teaching materials, which the team already has experienced very well in this area. The program is carried out through the stages of strengthening creative teaching concepts, workshops on developing innovative teaching materials oriented to HOTS, FGD validation of development results, then implementation with assistance from a service team and continued implementation independently by the schools.The result of this activity are 1) increased teacher understanding of creative teaching concepts; 2) produced innovative teaching materials' HOTS oriented; 3) teachers can implement innovative teaching materials' HOTS oriented independently
