Abstract

Infrastructure development, especially toll road construction, requires land availability. The infrastructure development process may affect people's daily lives. One of the infrastructures developed is the Banda Aceh-Sigli toll road. Land conversion changes the function of land from its former function to other uses so that it can have an impact on socio-economic changes in the surrounding population. The number of sub-districts in Aceh Besar Regency reaches 9 districts affected by land conversion. Of these districts, 60 samples were selected from 3 districts; Indrapuri, Cot Glie and Kuta Baro. This study examines the impact of conversion of paddy fields due to the construction of the Banda Aceh - Sigli Toll Road on the socio-economy of farmers using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that the Banda Aceh-Sigli toll road development influenced social conditions only from environmental indicators while other indicators had no effect. As for economic conditions, toll road development affects the indicators of assets, land area, income and expenditure in the agricultural sector. While the other two indicators have no effect.

Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumsi bawang merah sehari-hari terus meningkat dari waktu ke waktu, sedangkan keberadaan dan perannya tidak dapat ditukar dengan jenis tanaman yang lain. Hal ini menyebabkan tingkat ketergantungan terhadap bawang merah sangat tinggi apalagi ketersediaannya tidak seimbang dengan kebutuhan yang ada. Oleh sebab itu bawang merah termasuk jenis komoditas yang memerlukan perhatian ekstra baik oleh pemerintah maupun masyarakat tani. Kelompok tani mitra merupakan diantara kelompok masyarakat yang peduli terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan bawang merah lokal. Meskipun tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan teknologi yang memadai, kelompok tani ini terus berjuang memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat. Namun seringnya tanaman yang dibudidayakan terserang oleh hama dan penyakit telah menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan semangat atau animo masyarakat dalam menggeluti tanaman bawang merah ini. Untuk mengantisipasi permasalahan tersebut, Tim Pengabdi berupaya untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap kelompok tani tersebut agar senantiasa konsisten dalam mengupayakan pembudidayaan tanaman bawang merah di lahan yang mereka miliki atau usahakan. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian yang ditawarkan dan sekaligus menjadi solusi terhadap permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi masyarakat adalah melalui pengaplikasian inovasi teknologi mekanis Photovoltaic Light Trap (PLT). Inovasi ini tergolong sederhana dan mudah untuk digunakan, tidak memerlukan biaya yang terlalu tinggi, serta yang paling penting adalah bersifat ramah lingkungan (green energy). Aplikasi inovasi teknologi tepat guna ini diharapkan dapat mengatasi inang dari insekta perusak yang sering meninggalkan telur dan larvanya pada tanaman bawang merah. Melalui rangsangan sinar lampu yang dipancarkan dengan teknologi energi surya, insekta penggangu tersebut akan diperangkap sehingga tidak lagi mengganggu tanaman. Selanjutnya insekta yang terperangkap dapat dengan mudah dimusnahkan secara mekanis. Dengan demikian tanaman bawang merah dapat terhindar dari serangan hama dan penyakit sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan pendapatan petani.

Abstract

The palm oil industry plays a crucial role in the global economy but faces complex environmental and social challenges. This study aims to analyze how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices contribute to the financial performance of palm oil companies, particularly in terms of profitability, financial risk management, and operational efficiency. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and data analysis supported by Atlas.ti software, this research reviewed 20 peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024. The findings reveal that sustainability-oriented CSR consistently improves operational efficiency, especially through better resource management and adherence to industry standards. Moreover, CSR plays a role in reducing financial risks, primarily by enhancing investor trust and regulatory stability. However, while there are signs of a connection between CSR and profitability, this relationship remains limited in the reviewed literature, indicating the need for more strategic integration of CSR into core business operations. These results affirm that CSR is not merely a form of social responsibility, but a strategic instrument to strengthen competitiveness, resilience, and long-term performance in the palm oil industry amid growing global sustainability pressures.

Abstract

The bemban plant (Donax canniformis) has important meaning for the community in Lampanah Tunong Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar Regency. Together with 4 (four) other villages around it, this village has become a center for woven bemban crafts with production products that are typical superior products for Aceh Besar Regency. Apart from supporting the development of the tourism sector and creative industry, this woven bemban craft product has been able to improve the economy and welfare of the local community. The lack of implementation of the concept of sustainable development (sustainable development) has resulted in vulnerability to the continuity of this highly prospective business. The provision of raw materials that completely relies on availability in nature has resulted in the increasingly extinct population of burden plants. The rate of handicraft production which is not commensurate with the ability of natural plant reproduction has caused the community to have to bring in raw materials from outside the village. This of course has an impact on increasing production costs and reducing opportunities for profits. Without systematic and strategic efforts, it is feared that availability from outside the village will also threaten its sustainability. To overcome this, the Service Team offers a concrete solution in the form of domestication efforts by transforming wild bemban plants into cultivated bemban plants through the introduction of cultivation techniques, nurseries and cultivation demonstration plots as well as improving and developing marketing techniques through product diversification and the use of digital marketing. The methods used include: counseling/tutorials and direct practice in the field with stages consisting of: preparation, coordination, implementation, coaching, and trials/evaluation. Through this service activity, it is hoped that the sustainability of the bemban woven craft business will be realized (SDGs 11), increase economic growth (SDGs 8), reduce poverty (SDGs 1) and improve the welfare (SDGs 3) of the community, especially partner craftsmen (SDGs 17).

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge, attitudes and skills of PKK mothers in Gue Gajah Village regarding verticulture shelf assembly techniques, proper business management, diversification of verticultural processed food and professional marketing using a mobile application. Implementation activities will begin with the coordination and socialization stage with partners for the implementation of activities, then proceed with training on diversification of processed food products. The next activity is to provide counseling on business management, and ways to develop it. Providing counseling on business management, and ways to develop it. Furthermore, partners will be facilitated in making mobile application digital marketing applications so as to facilitate the marketing process. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that partners have increased their knowledge and skills in improving horticultural cultivation vertically. Long-term planning on the use of a marketing android application to increase sales of vegetables. This application is expected to be one of the models in tools for marketing vegetable products in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The continuation of this program can also be carried out by forming partners or partners for Study Programs within the University of Syiah Kuala to support the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Students will later do an internship at Dudi Partners with conditions that have been agreed upon by both parties.

Abstract

Tumbuhan bemban (Donax canniformis) memiliki arti penting bagi masyarakat di Desa Lampanah Tunong, Kecamatan Indrapuri, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Bersama 4 (empat) desa lain disekitarnya, desa ini telah menjadi sentra kerajinan anyaman bemban dengan hasil produksi yang menjadi produk unggulan khas bagi Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Selain mendukung pengembangan sektor pariwisata dan industri kreatif, produk kerajinan anyaman bemban ini telah mampu meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk membantu dan membina masyarakat kelompok pengrajin dalam pemanfaatan tumbuhan bemban secara berkelanjutan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi dan menjamin kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini meliputi tahap persiapan, koordinasi, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan dilakukan proses identifikasi dan inventarisasi masalah yang dihadapi pengrajin. Lalu permasalahan tersebut dikoordinasikan dengan pihak-pihak terkait untuk dicarikan solusinya dan diterapkan dalam tahap pelaksanaan. Untuk memastikan tingkat keberhasilan program, dilakukan proses evaluasi yang hasilnya dijadikan sebagai dasar perbaikan dan rekomendasi tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan tingkat antusiasme masyarakat pengrajin dalam mengikuti program sangat tinggi. Para pengrajin mampu meningkatkan produksi dan produktivitasnya melalui diversifikasi produk kerajinan dengan baik. Diharapkan paska kegiatan, masyarakat dapat mengembangkan usahanya secara berkelanjutan.
