Abstract

Pamsimas merupakan Pamsimas merupakan program pemerintah bertujuan untuk memberikan kemudahan akses air bersih bagi masyarakat. Pengelolaan secara berkelanjutan diperlukan guna memastikan sarana dari program pamsimas tetap fungsional dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengelolaan dan menganalisis strategi pengelolaan program Pamsimas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Mixed Method dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisa deskriptif dan SWOT. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara observasi, wawancara dengan menggunakan kuisoner dan dokumentasi. Selain itu dilakukan Focus group Discussion ((FGD) dengan melibatkan tokoh masyarakat, anggota KP-SPAM dan institusi pemerintah dari Balai Prasarana Permukiman Provinsi Papua Barat. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini seluruhnya 50 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sarana yang berasal dari program pamsimas masih berfungsi meskipun terdapat beberapa sarana mengalami kerusakan. Pengelolaan Program Pamsimas tidak berjalan optimal karena rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan program Pamsimas dan kelembagaan tidak berjalan dengan baik. Hasil analisis SWOT diperoleh nilai kekuatan sebesar 2,52, kelemahan 0,76, peluang 2,41 dan ancaman 0,46. Diagram SWOT menunjukkan strategi berada pada kuadran I, yang berarti strategi yang diperlukan dalam pengelolaan program Pamsimas adalah pentingnya menjaga keberadaan sumber air bersih, peningkatan kinerja KP-SPAM dalam menerapkan pedoman pengelolaan program Pamsimas dan tetap berkoordinasi dengan pemerintah daerah untuk usulan keberlanjutan program air bersih.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mansaburi Village is known for its abundant coconut production, which has not been optimally utilized due to limited technical skills and inadequate processing technology. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of Mansaburi Village residents in processing coconuts into Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) using a natural, hygienic, and economically valuable fermentation method. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach, including community outreach, technical training, and hands-on practice. The results of the program showed a high level of enthusiasm from the community throughout the implementation, along with a significant improvement in their knowledge and skills in VCO production. Additionally, several participants took the initiative to form small business groups. This program has had a positive impact on the community’s economic self-reliance and has opened up opportunities for the development of local coconut-based products. Keywords: Coconut; Fermentation; Local Product; Virgin Coconut Oil ABSTRAK Kampung Mansaburi merupakan kampung yang memiliki hasil kelapa berlimpah dan belum optimal dalam pemanfaatan kelapa tersebut akibat minimnya keterampilan teknis dan terbatasnya teknologi pengolahan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat Kampung Mansaburi dalam mengolah kelapa menjadi Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) melalui metode fermentasi yang alami, higienis, dan bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis dan praktik langsung. Hasil program menunjukkan antusiasme masyarakat sangat tinggi selama kegiatan pengabdian serta adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam proses produksi VCO, serta munculnya inisiatif warga untuk membentuk kelompok usaha kecil. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat dan membuka peluang pengembangan produk lokal berbasis kelapa. Abstract

Agricultural land in Papua suffers from a deficiency of macro-nutrients essential for plant growth. This shortfall is attributed to the prevalence of utisol soil types, which make up 49.21% of the total land area. However, by implementing suitable processing technologies and innovative practices, livestock waste can be transformed into a high-value product. The innovative processing of livestock waste into fertilizer has the potential to enhance soil structure and fulfill the nutritional needs of plants. The Tunas Siaga Livestock Farmer Group and the Tunas Bangsa Youth Organization, facing challenges in the production and marketing of livestock waste products, have been identified as the target partners for this initiative. A field observation study revealed that only 20% of the total livestock waste is currently utilized for composting. The proposed solution involves using livestock waste, supplemented by natural phosphate, to improve product marketability, quality, and quantity. To achieve this goal, a comprehensive training program will be initiated, consisting of the following components: (1) training on processing livestock waste into solid and liquid organic fertilizers, enhanced by Krandalite Phosphate Deposited Soil (KPDS); (2) training in product packaging and marketing. The training program will be delivered through a combination of digital and traditional marketing channels. The effectiveness of this initiative will be assessed through a pretest and posttest administered to participants during the activities. Evaluation results indicate that the innovation involving the inclusion of KPDS in solid and liquid organic fertilizers is likely to be well-received by the target partners. Additionally, evaluation findings demonstrated that most participants experienced a significant increase in knowledge and skills in livestock waste management, with an overall improvement of 64.4%. This increase was evident in the pretest and posttest results, which showed an average score improvement among participants.
