Abstract

The growth of ICT facilitates lecturer to assess students’ understanding easily. Lecturer could use online tool such as Google form to conduct examination. This study wants to find out perception of university students using Google form in their examination. It is mixed method research. Quantitative research was conducted to find out the understanding level of the students. Qualitative research was used to analyze the perception of each level about Google form online examination. The data collecting techniques were test, questionnaire and document analysis. The result shows that the students’ perception of Google form online examination defers among each level of university students. The research implications of this study were as assessment example of using technology for university students.Keywords: Univeristy students, perception, online examination, technology, google form

Abstract

This research is entitled “An Analysis of Deixis in Catching the Sun Novel by Tony Parsons”. It was carried out to identify the type of deixis contained in the novel and to describe to whom and what they refer to in the dialogues. The source of the data was a corpus from the dialogues in chapter 29, chapter 30, and chapter 31. This research is in qualitative form and used a descriptive method. The data obtained in this novel was in form of phrases and sentences uttered by the characters. After doing the analysis, it was found that the novel contained five types of deixis such as person deixis, spatial deixis, temporal deixis, social deixis, and discourse deixis. Person deixis was uttered 411 times, spatial deixis was uttered 24 times, temporal deixis was uttered 9 times, social deixis was uttered 3 times, and discourse deixis was uttered 15 times. The reference meanings of person deixis mostly refer to the characters, the spatial deixis refer to the places in the story, the temporal deixis refers to the time during the conversation happened, the social deixis refers to an honorable character, and the discourse deixis refers to the expressions in the same utterances uttered by the speaker. Meanwhile, the dominant type of deixis was person deixis. Abstract

The agricultural sectors that are developed should be sectors that have a major contribution to economic growth in Ngawi Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze which sectors have priority development in Ngawi Regency. This needs to be done so that subsectors that have the potential for the progress of vegetable crops in the region can be optimized. In this way, regions can find out about economic progress as a result of development in the agricultural sector in their region. This research analyzes the contribution of the basic vegetable subsector to the economic growth of the agricultural sector in Ngawi Regency. This analysis can help the government in setting policies regarding the economy and regional development so that it is hoped that community welfare will be created in Ngawi Regency. The research was carried out in August-October 2024, located in 19 sub-districts in Ngawi Regency. The highest LQ value is cayenne pepper which is found in 12 (twelve) sub-districts, namely Sine sub-district LQ value 3.09, Ngrambe sub-district LQ value 3.04, Jogorogo sub-district LQ value 2.94, Geneng sub-district LQ value 3.10, Gerih sub-district LQ value 6.53, Kwadungan sub-district LQ value 2.12, Paron District LQ value 3.69, Kedunggalar District LQ value 13.72, Pitu District LQ value 1.73, Widodaren District LQ value 22.26, Mantingan District LQ value 13.97 and Karanganyar District LQ value 4.49. This illustrates that cayenne pepper is a basic sector where farmers are generally able to make good use of the available land.
