This study aims to analyze students' reading ability in understanding narrative text in English and identify influencing factors in UPT SMP N 10 Medan, especially students in class VII-F. The research method used is Qualitative research using instruments such as Observation, test, Documentation and Likert scale, based Questionnaire from 30 students. The results showed that the students' comprehension level showed their narrative text comprehension ability was generally low, with the majority falling into the poor category of 33.33% and very poor 10%. However, most students showed a positive attitude towards reading based on their responses on the questionnaire such as teacher and parent support, reading habits, vocabulary acquisition and understanding in grammar that influenced their reading ability. The findings suggest that increased motivation and learning environment are important in influencing students' narrative text comprehension skills as well as improved learning strategies by teachers.

Pengembangan bahan ajar Entrepreneurship dengan menggunakan media buku elektronik berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) ini sangat membantu mahasiswa Universitas IBU ,sehingga pembelajaran ini sangat menarik dan bagus. Tujuan dari pada penelitian berhubungan dengan rumusan masalah di atas. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi,anget atau kuesioner, dan lembar validasi. Subjek pada penelitian ini mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Dari hasil validasi, mempunyai hasil bahwa bahan ajar Entrepreneurship dengan menggunakan ebook berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) sangat menarik dan dapat mempermudah mahasiswa dalam mempelajari khususnya pada matakuliah yang baru yaitu matakuliah Entrepreneurship, baik kelayakan materi, bahasa maupun desain.

Bakalan Village, experiencing a significant increase in organic waste production, faces challenges in waste management due to the absence of a Temporary Disposal Site (TDS). This study investigates the implementation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation in Bakalan Village, Purwosari Subdistrict, Pasuruan District, East Java, as an innovative solution for organic waste management and an alternative income source. This community service program was initiated to provide training and insight to the village residents about the economic potential of BSF maggot cultivation. The activity involved 46 village residents and was conducted on July 5, 2021, introducing maggot cultivation techniques and their use as an alternative feed for livestock. The results indicate a reduction in the volume of organic waste in the village and an increased awareness among the community about the economic value of organic waste. Dried and further processed maggots showed an increase in selling price from IDR 8,000 to IDR 30,000 - IDR 40,000 per kilogram. This study highlights the link between sustainable waste management and local economic development, providing insights into BSF maggot cultivation practices as an effective method to reduce organic waste and increase the income of the residents in Bakalan Village.

The difficulty found in writing is not only due to the need to generate and organize ideas using the appropriate choice of vocabulary, sentence, and paragraph organization. A descriptive text is one of the texts that can help students to improve their ideas into a text. The researcher used the qualitative method as the way to analyze the data in this research. It focused on analyzing the student’s skill of applying the generic structure of descriptive texts. The writer used the data from the students’ descriptive texts taken from the worksheet of Elementary school 1 Penambangan Probolinggo. The findings are as follows; they do not master the language features of descriptive text and lack vocabulary and got difficulties describing with effective word choice. They failed to show well-organized writing and did not use identification appropriately, the last they were still unable to transfer and develop their ideas into a written form well in composing a text and do not use the description process in writing appropriately. Finally, the researcher concluded that some students at Elementary school 1 Penambangan Probolinggo still need more practice to choose a topic that they are about to discuss and to arrange the descriptions with proper connectives.

In this classroom action research, the researcher used the model of classroom action research developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1999). There are four steps of teaching. Before doing those four steps, the researcher did reconnaissance step by observing the class situation and interviewing the class teacher and the students to know the problems. After knowing the problems, the researcher started to do the four steps of teaching they were planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The findings of this result showed that teaching reading comprehension using collaborative strategic reading improved the students` reading comprehension skill. In the first cycle the result was not satisfactory. The students were still passive in class because they did not understand about the method and many of them still found difficulty in understanding the texts. Their mean score of the first cycle was under the MMC. The criterion of success is when students give good response to this method, and also get the mean score that reach the MMC. After implementing the second cycle, the researcher found that the students were more enthusiastic because they knew about the topics of the texts and enjoyed comprehending the texts using CSR. They felt that the method was not boring. Besides that, the students` mean score was 72.85. The second cycle succeeded and proved that the students` mean score improved. It was above the MMC.
