Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing management research by enabling more efficient data analysis, decision-making, and operational workflows. However, its application also raises questions about its transformative role and implications for academic writing in this field. A systematic review of literature published over the past decade was conducted to evaluate the applications, benefits, and challenges of AI in management research. Emphasis was placed on identifying key tools and technologies, along with their impacts on research quality and efficiency. Findings reveal that AI significantly enhances research by automating data handling, improving predictive accuracy, reducing biases, and streamlining academic writing processes. Despite these advancements, challenges such as ethical concerns and the need for human oversight persist. This study highlights the importance of balancing AI implementation with human judgment to ensure ethical practices and effective utilization. It addresses gaps in existing research and emphasizes AI's transformative potential in management studies. AI plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of management research, but its integration requires careful consideration to maximize its benefits while mitigating potential drawbacks.

Abstract

The community service activity with the theme "Training on Making Crackers from Locan Shellfish" was carried out in October 2024 in Kampung Gamta, Misol Barat District, Raja Ampat Regency. The purpose of this activity is to develop the potential of marine resources, particularly locan shellfish, which has so far been used mainly as a supplementary food, by processing it into crackers made from locan shellfish. This training involved 17 participants and was conducted using a systematic approach with the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method, which consists of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up stages. Through this training, it is hoped that the community will develop skills in producing crackers, create a local flagship product, and open new business opportunities that have the potential to increase household income in Kampung Gamta.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this community service activity is to overcome the main problems in the management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Rajik Village, where most of the managers have limited knowledge and ability in administration and financial reporting. Methodology/approach: The methodology used is participatory training and mentoring, which actively involves all parties. This approach is carried out through material presentations, question and answer sessions, and direct assistance in compiling financial statements of BUMDes in Rajik city. Results/findings: The results of this activity show that well-managed BUMDes can have a positive impact on the village economy. The existence of a well-organized financial system can increase the credibility and sustainability of BUMDes, avoid misuse of funds, and get wider support from the government and the public. Participants showed high enthusiasm and hoped for continuous assistance to improve their financial management. Conclutions: BUMDes have an important role as a driver of the village economy, but their success depends heavily on transparent and accountable financial management. Therefore, continuous technical guidance and training are needed so that BUMDes can continue to develop and provide real benefits to the village community. Limitations: This service is limited to increasing human resource capacity and socializing financial management, without touching the implementation of an integrated accounting system which is still a challenge for BUMDes. Contribution: The main contribution of this service is to increase the understanding of village managers and stakeholders about the best practices of managing BUMDes that are transparent, accountable, and sustainable.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine how attitudes and intentions influence the sharia-compliant financial behavior of MSME practitioners, employing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical framework. TPB explains that actual behavior is influenced by intention, which is formed by attitudes and control of perceptual behavior. The research adopts a quantitative explanatory approach and applies the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method for data analysis. The sample consisted of 35 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors located in Toboali District, South Bangka, selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale, measuring four main constructs: attitude (ATT), perceived behavioral control (PBC), intention (INT), and actual behavior (BEH). The results of the study show that attitude has a significant effect on actual intentions and behaviors. Intention also plays a key role as a key predictor of actual behavior, strengthening the SDG framework. However, perceptual behavior control did not show a significant effect on intentions or behavior. These findings affirm the importance of forming a positive attitude and strengthening intentions in encouraging the adoption of Islamic finance practices among MSMEs. Strategic interventions need to be directed at increasing literacy, understanding sharia values, and strengthening the internal motivation of business actors so that Islamic financial transformation can run sustainably and equivocally.
