Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student awareness of the importance of national integration, the occurrence of disputes between students of different regions and languages, students are more likely to do individualist attitudes that are selfish, to love and boast excessively in other people's countries than their own country. This study aims to determine the role of social studies teachers in shaping students' national integration awareness in the era of globalization at SMP Negeri 1 Ciledug, especially the form of students' national integration awareness in the era of globalization, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping students' national integration awareness in the era of globalization at SMP Negeri 1 Ciledug. This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study approach. The awareness of national integration needs to be formed in students in order to create a harmonious unity, harmony and uniformity, a sense of comfort, mutual help, mutual respect, mutual cooperation, and mutual respect. Because basically the essence of national integration is the same as Bhineka Tunggal Ika which means different but still one goal. But the reality is that there are still many students who lack awareness of national integration so that disputes and divisions occur. So the need for the role of educators, especially social studies teachers is very important in realizing and preparing students to be able to become good citizens in a society that has a variety of differences.

Abstract

Konsep moderasi beragama masih mencari titik temu untuk menjadi gagasan yang sangat matang. Terlebih di Indonesia dengan kondisi keanekaragaman budaya dan juga terdapat beberapa agama di dalamnya, moderasi beragama merupakan suatu keharusan. Sebagai negara yang memiliki perbedaan-perbedaan tersebut, masih ditemukan masalah sosial seperti konflik antar suku dan budaya di masyarakat, adanya diskriminasi maupun masalah sosial lainnya. Maka, pendidikan damai dan moderasi beragama muncul untuk meredam potensi-potensi negatif. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkontruksi makna moderasi beragama dalam perspektif pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Partisipan dalam kegiatan ini adalah para guru Pendidikan kewarganegaraan di lingkungan SMA dan MA di Kabupaten Cirebon. Data penelitian diambil pada Januari sampai April 2024 menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan literatur. Data dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, display data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pendidikan damai dan moderasi beragama di Indonesia memang dibutuhkan. Hal ini karena Indonesia memang memiliki berbagai kondisi yang membuat masyarakat perlu untuk menjadi moderat, paham pencegahan konflik dan juga paham akan resolusi konflik. Dengan begitu, Indonesia akan tetap menjadi negara multikultur yang memiliki begitu banyak perbedaan latar belakang budaya, agama dan juga bahasa. (2)  Baik itu pendidikan damai, pendidikan kewarganegaraan maupun moderasi beragama sebetulnya memiliki tujuan yang sama dalam mengembangkan aspek kognitif, afektif dan skill.

Abstract

The existence of digitalisation certainly changes the way humans work to be more effective and efficient because it uses various technologies. So, the development of 21st century competencies need to be done by educators to young citizens in order to achieve effective learning objectives. Young citizens need to be given various competencies to become mature citizens. civic disposition is an aspect that needs to be owned by young citizens. This aspect is to make young citizens to become democratic citizens, have responsibility, nationalism and national insight. Currently, there is no research on civic disposition in the digital era in the lecture process. In fact, as a compulsory course, the civics course has an important mission as a personality development course. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive study method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation studies and also literature studies. The development of civic education in building the civic character of young citizens in the digital era in higher education can be done by paying attention to lecture materials, media, models, sources and evaluations. While the efforts made by civic education lecturers in overcoming obstacles are in several ways, first by utilising this digital era into civic education lectures. It can be in the form of analysing issues that develop from online media portals, it can also take advantage of citizen projects and be published online through various platforms. The next effort that can be made is by habituating the values of character education during lectures

Abstract

This study aims to determine the independent character of seventh-grade students, the obstacles experienced by Social Sciences teachers in the process of forming independent characters, and to find out the role of the Social Sciences teacher in forming and enhancing the independent character in Social Studies learning that has been carried out so far. This type of research uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive type. The research subjects were social studies teachers for grade seven, deputy head of curriculum, and seventh-grade students of class VIII A. The data sources here used primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques carried out included observation, interviews and documentation studies and giving questionnaires for students' independent character instruments. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity using data triangulation. Based on research results, it is known that forming independent character for class VIII students is difficult and easy. There are many factors behind it, especially internal and external factors of students. The role played by social studies teachers in increasing independent character is by using lesson plans with elements of independent character, using media and tools that contain independent character. Through habituation of the personal attitudes or behavior of social studies teachers become role models for these students.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran make a match dan picture and picture ini terhadap hasil belajar IPS di kelas VII MTs NU Astanajapura Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, desain penelitian quasi eksperiment. Dengan jumlah responden 49 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol dan kelas eskperimen. Teknik pengumpulan yaitu dengan cara observasi, angket, soal pretest dan posttest serta dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prosentase, normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji independent sampel t-test dengan bantuan statistik SPSS Versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon kelas eksperimen terhadap penerapan model make a match dan picture and picture sebesar 75,9 %. Skor tersebut tergolong pada kategori “Baik Sekali” yang berada di antara 75% - 100%. Hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain score untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 62,8% termasuk kategori “Cukup Efektif”. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata N-Gain score kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 53,3% termasuk dalam kategori “Kurang Efektif”. Hasil uji independent sampel T-Tes diperoleh nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,009 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Maka H0 ditolak Ha diterima, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran make a match dan picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar IPS di kelas VII MTs NU Astanajapura.
