Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORGIVENESS AND SUBJECTIVE WELL BEING AMONG ORPHANAGE ADOLESCENTSThis study aims to determine the relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being in adolescents who are in the orphanage, through the three components contained in it, i.e. life satisfaction, positive affect and negative affect. The subjects of this study were 58 adolescents in the Budi Mulya Muhammadiyah Sukarame orphanage. Data collection method using three scales, those are Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Possitive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). The data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation. The results of the analysis of this study explain that there is a positive relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being through the three components in SWB. The results of this study have implications about the importance of forgiveness in increasing subjective well being in orphanage adolescent.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan forgiveness dengan subjective well-being pada remaja yang berada di panti asuhan, melalui tiga komponen yang terdapat di dalamnya, yaitu life satisfaction, positive affect dan negative affect. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 58 remaja panti asuhan Budi Mulya Muhammadiyah Sukarame. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dan Possitive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Data dianalisis dengan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menerangkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara forgiveness dengan subjective well-being melalui tiga komponen dalam SWB. Hasil penelitian ini memberi implikasi tentang pentingnya forgiveness dalam meningkatkan subjective well being pada remaja dipanti asuhan.

Abstract

Mathematics is a discipline that is taught at all levels of education, including in higher education. However, mathematics in higher education is very different from mathematics at other levels. Learning mathematics in college requires higher-level cognitive abilities, such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Students are required to achieve great achievements. The different learning system requires students to adapt and complete academic tasks and challenges. This can cause students to experience difficulties and fear of failure in meeting these tasks and challenges. This study aims to identify the relationship between academic self concept and esteem support with academic buoyancy in mathematics education students. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 103 mathematics education students. The data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools in the form of a perception scale questionnaire regarding academic buoyancy scale (42 items), academic self concept scale (31 items), and esteem support scale (20 items). Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between academic self concept and academic buoyancy with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.593 with a significance of 0.001 (p<0.001). Meanwhile, the relationship between esteem support to academic buoyancy has a significant positive relationship with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.909 with a significance of 0.001 (p <0.001). The effective contribution of the academic self-concept variable to the academic buoyancy variable is 19.6%. Meanwhile, the effective contribution provided by esteem support to the academic buoyancy variable is 72.6%. So it can be concluded that the higher the academic self concept, the higher the academic buoyancy. Meanwhile, the higher the esteem support, the higher the academic buoyancy. ABSTRAKMatematika merupakan suatu disiplin ilmu yang diajarkan di semua tingkat pendidikan, termasuk di perguruan tinggi. Namun, matematika di perguruan tinggi sangat berbeda dari matematika di jenjang lainnya. Pembelajaran matematika di perguruan tinggi memerlukan kemampuan kognitif tingkat tinggi, seperti analisis, sintesis, dan evaluasi. Mahasiswa diharuskan untuk meraih prestasi yang gemilang. Sistem pembelajaran yang berbeda menuntut mahasiswa untuk beradaptasi dan menyelesaikan tugas serta tantangan akademik. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dan ketakutan akan kegagalan dalam memenuhi tugas dan tantangan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara academic self concept dan esteem support dengan academic buoyancy pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan matematika sebanyak 103 subjek. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data berupa kuisioner skala persepsi mengenai academic buoyancy scale (42 item), skala academic self concept scale (31 item), dan skala esteem support (20 item). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara academic self concept terhadap academic buoyancy dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,593 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (p<0.001). Sedangkan untuk hubungan antara esteem support terhadap academic buoyancy memiliki hubungan positif signifikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,909 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (p<0.001). Sumbangan efektif dari variabel academic self concept terhadap variabel academic buoyancy sebesar 19,6%. Sedangkan, sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh esteem support terhadap variabel academic buoyancy sebesar 72,6%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi academic self concept maka akan semakin tinggi academic buoyancy. Sedangkan, semakin tinggi esteem support maka akan semakin tinggi academic buoyancy.

Abstract

Religious leaders play an important role in maintaining community harmony in Labuhan Dalam Village. Because, basically Islamic religious leaders and Hindu religious leaders are used as examples or role models in everyday life for the Muslim community and Hindus in Labuhan Dalam Village. In everyday life, Islamic religious leaders and Hindu religious leaders have a large enough contribution to the harmony of religious communities around them. The influence comes from the leadership spirit that is attached to the person of the religious figure. In addition to having responsibilities in every religious activity, the role of religious leaders also invites and directs the community to do positive things, improve religious rituals according to the teachings of each religion, monitor the religious conditions of the community, hold religious activities, hold community leaders meetings. , open inter-religious mediation in the event of a dispute. This research is included in the field research (field research) with the type of qualitative research that is descriptive. The research location is located in Labuhan Dalam Village. This study uses qualitative research methods using a Sociological approach. The data collection procedures to support the research were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study, there are two sources of data used by the author, namely primary data and secondary data. The role of a religious figure is very large in influencing social life. The designation of religious figures in Islam is ustadz, kyai or ulama while Hindu religious figures are called Stakeholders. These two figures are very influential in maintaining harmony for the community in Labuhan Dalam Village. This is proven as what the researchers found that, in their daily life, the people of Labuhan Dalam maintain mutual tolerance between religious communities. This is because each religious leader always teaches his people to help each other without discriminating, teaches an attitude of openness, gives deep understanding in maintaining communication between others. It is proven by the fact that on religious holidays in each religion, Muslims and Hindus help each other to maintain conditions that are not conducive. So, that is the success factor of religious leaders in maintaining harmony in Labuhan Dalam Village. The obstacle to the realization of religious harmony in Labuhan Dalam Village is due to some individuals who are too fanatical about their religion and are too closed off, resulting in a lack of discussion space between the surrounding community. However, this can be overcome through regular deliberations held by religious leaders, so as to prevent conflicts between religious communities.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the importance of pluralist theology for the serenity of urban society in the study of anapanasati meditation in the Karangdjati monastery. The subjects of the study were non-Buddhist meditation participants, meditators and administrators of Karangdjati Vihara. Anapanasati meditation (breathing meditation) at Karangdjati Vihara is increasingly practiced by people who adhere to different religions or have different ways of worship, especially non-Buddhist participants. The results of this study show that there are several Reactualizations of pluralist theology, namely that meditation not only serves as a spiritual practice that allows individuals to focus on themselves and understand the universal values embraced by various religions and cultures, but also as a process that facilitates understanding and appreciation of other religious and cultural differences. Therefore, meditation in the context of pluralist theology helps individuals gain a deeper awareness and understanding of the universal values upheld by different religions and cultures, while also helping to reduce conflict and encourage interfaith and intercultural dialogue.

Abstract

This research begins with the thought that successful aging and adjustment have a relationship with self-acceptance in elderly individuals. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between successfull aging and self-adjustment with the self-acceptance of retired member organizations (PWRI) of Lampung Province. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a relationship between successfull aging and old age adjustment and self-acceptance.The population in this study were members of the Republic of Indonesia Wredatama Association (PWRI) Lampung Ranting I Kedaton, Bandar Lampung city. The sampling method for this research is to use population techniques that refer to Suharsimi Arikunto's theory, that if the subject is less than 100 people, it is better to take all so that the research is a population study. The sample taken in this study were all PWRI members who held monthly meetings at the PWRI meeting hall on Landak street No. 1 Kedaton, Bandar Lampung city. The sample in this study was obtained as many as 60 members of the Republic of Indonesia Wredatama Pensioners (PWRI).The data collection method uses three scales namely self-acceptance scale, successfull aging scale and adjustment scale with likert scale model. Data collected were analyzed by two predictor regression tests with the help of SPSS 16.0 for windows.Based on the results of the data analysis above, it means that the proposed hypothesis can be accepted and it can be concluded that there is a relationship between successfull aging and adjustment of old age with self-acceptance in retirees.

Abstract

Resilience is the ability of a person or individual to rise from the problems being faced. Resilience is very important to be owned by every individual because if an individual does not have resilience, then the individual will be difficult to rise from adversity due to the problems faced. This study aims to determine the relationship between self efficacy and emotion regulation with resilience in 58 adolescents living in Mahmudah orphanage in Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used is total sampling and then analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that there is a relationship between self efficacy and emotion regulation with resilience in adolescents living in orphanages with correlation coefficients R = 0.645 and F = 19.634 with p = 0,000. Then, there is a relationship between self efficacy with resilience in adolescents living in orphanages, the results of the analysis obtained are the value of rx1y = 0.373 with p = 0,000. Furthermore, there is a relationship between emotional regulation with resilience in teens living in orphanages, the results of the analysis obtained are the value of rx2y = 0.601 with a value of p = 0.002.

Abstract

Subjective well-being is a person's perception of his life experience and affection for his life Diener (1984). Based on observations, teenagers who live in orphanages seem to want more attention. Adolescents basically enter a transitional period and need guidance and affection from their parents, but they cannot get this at the orphanage. This is very risky for the emergence of negative emotions which of course will interfere with their subjective well being. So that self-control is needed to reduce negative emotions that might occur to teenagers in the orphanage. Individuals who have good self-control will be able to express their emotions appropriately according to the circumstances they are facing. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and subjective well-being in adolescents living in orphanages in Pringsewu Regency. The sample in this study were 60 adolescents according to predetermined criteria, namely those who resided in the orphanage of Putri Tunas Harapan Aisyiyah and Putra Umul Mukmin Aisyah Binti Abubakar in Pringsewu Regency. The data collection method in this study was to use a scale and use the Product Moment correlation technique with the help of the SPSS 20.0 for windows program using Cronbach Alpha. The results of the correlation in this study are that there is a significant positive relationship between self-control and subjective well-being.Keywords: Self-Control, Subjective Well-Being, Adolescents

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of intimate friendship in supporting emotional well-being and self-esteem of late adolescents from broken homes. Adolescents from broken homes tend to experience emotional stress and obstacles in expressing themselves, caused by minimal support and communication from their parents. This situation encourages them to seek other sources of support outside the family, especially through the presence of close friends who can provide space to tell stories and become a source of emotional reinforcement. This study uses a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method, this study involved in-depth interviews with three adolescents from disharmonious family backgrounds. The results show that intimate friendship plays an important role in building self-esteem, reducing loneliness, improving emotional management, and strengthening self-acceptance. Emotional support from close friends also helps deal with psychological stress due to family conflict. Key factors such as trust, loyalty, and social support are key to the success of this relationship. These findings emphasize the importance of strong social relationships as a strategy to deal with emotional challenges and provide direction for psychological interventions that focus on strengthening interpersonal relationships. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran intimate friendship dalam mendukung kesejahteraan emosional dan self-esteem remaja akhir dari keluarga broken home. Remaja yang berasal dari keluarga broken home cenderung mengalami tekanan emosional dan hambatan dalam mengekspresikan diri, yang disebabkan oleh minimnya dukungan dan komunikasi dari orang tua. Situasi ini mendorong mereka untuk mencari sumber dukungan lain di luar keluarga, khususnya melalui kehadiran sahabat dekat yang mampu memberikan ruang untuk bercerita dan menjadi sumber penguatan secara emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode fenomenologi, studi ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan tiga remaja berlatar belakang keluarga tidak harmonis. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa intimate friendship berperan penting dalam membangun harga diri, mengurangi kesepian, meningkatkan pengelolaan emosi, dan memperkuat penerimaan diri. Dukungan emosional dari teman dekat juga membantu menghadapi tekanan psikologis akibat konflik keluarga. Faktor utama seperti kepercayaan, kesetiaan, dan dukungan sosial menjadi kunci keberhasilan hubungan ini. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya hubungan sosial yang kuat sebagai strategi menghadapi tantangan emosional, serta memberi arah bagi intervensi psikologis yang fokus pada penguatan relasi interpersonal.
