Abstract

Language is important means of communication. Song is one of way that we can use to communicate with others. The Author or the singer uses song to communicate with their fans even want to send the message for everyone in the world. But sometimes, we as the listeners feel difficult to understand about the meaning of the song or values that contains in the song. It is moral value. Moral value is the value of behavior used by each individual to be able to interact with each other. One of Singer that uses Moral value in his song is Justin Bieber especially in his Purpose album. The purpose of this research are to analyze the kind of moral value found in Justin Bieber's songs on the album Purpose and to identify the meaning. The benefits of the research are expected to give worthy contribution for people who want to study English literature and can be reference to everyone. This research focused to find analyze 6 moral values and analyze the meaning of 10 songs on the Purpose album. The results of the research are the mostly moral value in the song lyrics of Justin Bieber's album Purpose are loyalty and sincerity, and the less moral value on this album is steadfastness

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman secara eksplisit tentang miskonsepsi titik didih air melalui teori dan praktek serta untuk meningkatkan pemahaman murid. Untuk mencapai hasil penelitian yang akuntabel dan merubah pola pikir murid maka peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen yang terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Praktek titik didih air yang dilakukan di tiga tempat sesuai dengan letak, titik didih pada dataran tinggi dibawah 1000C sementara pada dataran rendah 1000C dan ada juga larutan gula pada daerah dataran rendah titik didihnya 1040C. Setelah melakukan teori dan praktek pada kelas eksperimen maka hasil post-test menunjukan 19 murid mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan 1 murid gagal, sementara kelas kontrol setelah diberikan teori secara konvensional maka post-test menunjukan 6 murid mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan 14 murid gagal. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi IPA sebaiknya tidak sebatas teori tetapi harus disertai dengan eksperimen atau praktek, agar murid melihat dan mengalami secara nyata.

Abstract

This study explores the strategies used by students of SMA Advent Kota Sorong in comprehending English texts. In the era of globalization, the ability to comprehend English texts is the key to academic and communication success. Qualitative research methods with data collection through interviews and observations were used to identify students' learning strategies. The results showed that students relied on techniques such as skimming, scanning, content prediction, and use of context to improve comprehension. In addition, metacognitive strategies such as planning and self-evaluation were also found to play an important role. A supportive learning environment and high motivation strengthened the effectiveness of these strategies. These findings provide important insights for educators to develop more innovative and student-oriented learning approaches. This study is expected to improve the quality of English learning at SMA Advent Kota Sorong.
