Abstract

The fossil fuel crisis in Indonesia, which contributes 85% of the national energy mix, has driven the need to utilize renewable energy sources, one of which is exhaust wind as industrial waste energy that has high speed (5-7 m/s) and good flow continuity. This study developed a vertical Savonius turbine with variations in exhaust-turbine distance (20, 30, 40 cm) and measured wind speed (5.3, 6, 6.4 m/s) to optimize the utilization of this energy. The results showed that the 20 cm configuration produced the best performance with a maximum power of 5.98 watts at a speed of 6.4 m/s and a Coefficient Performance (CP) of 0.16, which is 31% more efficient than a distance of 40 cm, proving the potential of exhaust wind as a renewable energy solution that is applicable in industry with a payback period of less than 3 years and the potential for reducing the load on the electricity network by up to 15%.

Abstract

Sistem manajemen pengetahuan berbasis teknologi informasi  dalam organisasi  dilakukan sebagai upaya terstruktur dalam mengembangkan pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan asset sumber daya manusia dan  meningkatkan kinerja organisasi.  Efektivitas manajemen pengetahuan merupakan persoalan mendasar dalam setiap organisasi. Manajemen pengetahuan telah diakui sebagai instrumen yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan produktivitas suatu organisasi termasuk di bidang pendidikan. Para ahli menekankan bahwa lembaga pendidikan merupakan pusat akuisisi pengetahuan, namun, banyak lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia yang belum menerapkan manajemen pengetahuan sebagai visi dan misi strategis maupun tujuan secara komprehensif. Dosen merupakan salah satu aset sumber daya internal yang dimiliki perguruan tinggi,  memiliki pengetahuan  objektif dan rasional (tacit knowledge) dan pengetahuan subjektif dan kognitif yang berlandaskan  pengalaman (explicit knowledge). Salah satu penerapan manajemen pengetahuan di organisasi pendidikan tinggi dilakukan dalam forum diskusi dosen. Kendala yang terjadi berkenaan dengan  implementasi manajemen pengetahuan perguruan tinggi adalah belum ada teknologi informasi sebagai media yang digunakan untuk mengakses manajemen pengetahuan. Hal ini mengakibatkan pertukaran pengetahuan dan penyimpanan aset pengetahuan yang dimiliki dosen belum terkelola degan baik. Untuk mewujudkan proses knowledge sharing dan penyimpanan aset pengetahuan dosen maka penelitian ini dilakukan  dengan tujuan  mengembangkan sebuah sistem manajemen pengetahuan untuk forum diskusi dosen yang berfungsi sebagai perpustakaan . Metode Fernadez digunakan untuk memahami proses pengetahun dan organisasi pengetahuan, sedangkan untuk mengembangkan sistem manajemen pengetahuan digunakan metode waterfall. Hasil penelitian ini adalah  sistem manajemen pengetahuan forum diskusi dosen sebagai perpustakaan kolaborasi. AbstractKnowledge management systems in organizations are carried out as a structured effort to develop knowledge to increase the assets of human resources and improve organizational performance. The effectiveness of knowledge management is a fundamental problem in every organization.Knowledge management has been recognized as an effective instrument for improving the performance and productivity of an organization including in the education sector. Experts emphasize that educational institutions are the center of knowledge acquisition, however, many educational institutions in Indonesia have not implemented knowledge management as a strategic vision and mission in a comprehensive manner. Lecturers are one of the internal resource assets owned by universities, have objective and rational knowledge (tacit knowledge) and experience-based subjective and cognitive knowledge (explicit knowledge).One application of knowledge management in higher education organizations is conducted in lecturer discussion forums. Constraints that occur with regard to the implementation of higher education knowledge management are that there is no information technology as the media used to access knowledge management. This resulted in the exchange of knowledge and storage of knowledge assets owned by lecturers not managed well. To realize the knowledge sharing process and the storage of lecturers' knowledge assets, this research was conducted with the aim of developing a knowledge management system for lecturer discussion forums that function as libraries. The Fernandez method is used to understand the knowledge process and knowledge organization, while to develop a knowledge management system the waterfall method is used. The results of this study are knowledge management systems lecturer discussion forum as a collaboration literature.

Abstract

In the metal processing industry, hydraulic system play a crucial role in supporting the operation of production machines such as cut shear, mandrel, and coil cart. These machines rely on hydraulic power to function efficiently and reliably. This study aims to analyze and calculate the pressure and optimal hydraulic power required for each machine in the exit area of the continuos coloring line (CCL). The methodology includes measuring actual hydraulic pressure based on variations in the thickness nada width of galvalume sheets as coil weights, followed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The result show that the hydraulic pressure required by the cut shear machine varies from 58,1 bar to 139,62 bar depending on sheet galvalume dimensions. The mandrel machine pressure ranging from 15,93 bar to 28,93 bar depending to weight coil,, while the coil cart needs between 21,30 bar and 38,70 bar depending to weight coil. The highest recorded pressure reached 207,25 bar when all machine operated simultaneously under maximum load, approaching the pump is maximum capacity of 210 bar. This indicates that the system operates at near-optimal levels but closes to its safety threshold, thus requiring technical attention to maintain system reliability.

Abstract

The metal coating process plays an important role in improving the corrosion resistance and service life of products. One of its main components is the main pot, a refractory container that holds aluminum, zinc, and silicon alloys at high temperatures. The temperature stability of the coating fluid is highly dependent on the performance of the inductor as the main heat source. The problem encountered is that the inductor's capacity is not yet optimal in maintaining the operating temperature, thereby affecting the efficiency of the process and the quality of the coating results. This study aims to analyze the inductor's ability to maintain the main pot temperature, identify factors that affect heating efficiency, and provide recommendations for improving system performance. The methods used include measuring the liquid temperature, recording electrical power, and observing the decrease in coating volume. The results show that four inductors with a total capacity of 1800 kVA only meet about 20–23% of the energy requirements. The fluid temperature can be maintained in the range of 602–608 °C, but tends to decrease over time. The coating volume decreased by an average of 8.05–11.61% during five hours of operation. Increased power capacity and a periodic refill strategy are needed to maintain temperature stability and coating efficiency.
