Abstract

Hepatitis B is a type of liver inflammation caused by infection with the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Vertical transmissions can transmit hepatitis B. The precautions that can be taken to avoid vertical transmission of Hepatitis B are curable with treatment and vaccination. The goal of this research is to learn the mathematical model of Hepatitis B vertical transmission by observing the effects of treatment and vaccination, stability analysis, and interpreting the analysis results from the model. This research is essential. Points of equilibrium were discovered based on the model analysis. Through treatment and vaccination, vertical transmission of Hepatitis B will not become epidemic, according to the conclusions of this mathematical model's investigations. Meanwhile, as more and more effective contacts between infected individuals and vulnerable individuals occur and the average number of sexual partners per infected adult female, the vertical transmissions of Hepatitis B will grow.

Abstract

Labor currently plays a very important role in a country's economy. In the labour sector, women still experience discrimination, which causes the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of women to remain low compared to men. The LFPR of men in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota is higher than the LFPR of women. In 2022, the female LFPR was 63.75%, meaning that of the total labour force, around 63.75% of them were working or looking for work. This study aims to determine the factors that influence women's participation in the labour force in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. This research is applied using the probit regression analysis method. The data used is secondary data, which is microdata from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS). Based on the results of the analysis, the factors that influence the level of women's participation in the labour force in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota in 2022 are education level, age, job training status, and status as head of household.

Abstract

Umbilical granuloma (UG) is a major problem in neonates and young babies. This usually occurs in mothers due to continuous leakage of secretions in the umbilicus area after separation. Delayed treatment of granulomas continues to flow and causes persistent irritation over a long period of time, up to weeks. Several management modalities for umbilical granuloma include; using cooking salt, granuloma ligation, uterization and surgical excision. Umbilical granuloma is granular tissue that grows prominently in the center of the navel after the baby's umbilical cord falls off. Umbilical granuloma is reported to occur in 1 in 500 newborns. A literature study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of salt therapy in treating umbilical granulomas. The criteria for the articles reviewed were articles within the year 2020-2023 and used the Google Scholar database. Abstract

The poverty depth index is one of the measures that can be used in measuring the poverty level in a region well. This is because the poverty depth index measures the depth of poverty by focusing on the expenditure gap of the poor against the poverty line. Based on BPS West Sumatra data for 2017-2022, the IKK which was initially at 1,00 rose to 1,04 in 2018, in 2019 it fell to 0,94, in 2020 it fell to 0,92, but in 2021 it rose to 1,04 and fell to 0,8 in 2022. The dynamics that occur in the IKK show that the government's efforts in dealing with poverty problems have not been optimal. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the model and factors that affect the IKK in West Sumatra Province using panel data regression analysis. After the research was conducted, the best estimation model obtained was the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The factors that affect IKK in 2017-2022 are average per capita expenditure and human development index.

Abstract

Economic development is considered successful if the economic growth rate of its people reaches a high level. Indonesia has positive economic growth with economic growth rates above 5% in each quarter. However, the high economic growth of Indonesia does not mean that all regions have the same growth rate. Where the increase in the number of goods and services received or the added value of production factors is often referred to as economic growth. Regional economic growth in West Sumatera Province is known to tend to be negative. This study aims to obtain an overview of panel data regression models and factors that have an influence on economic growth in West Sumatera Province for the period 2018 to 2022. The best regression model obtained is the fixed effect model (FEM), where at a significant level of 5%, the factors that have an influence and positive relationship on economic growth are the human development index and government spending.
