Abstract

This study aims to determine the need analysis, validity, and practicality of e-physics teaching material integrated with augmented reality and ethno-meaningful learning to promote students’ 21st century skills. The research used a development method based on the Plomp model, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The needs analysis showed that students' 21st-century skills scored 56.59 out of 100, which falls in the very low category. Context analysis of existing physics teaching material, integration of ethnoscience, meaningful learning, and the difficulty level of heat material yielded scores of 50.00, 34.16, 59.44, and 48.22 respectively, indicating low to very low readiness for current implementation. The content validity of the developed teaching material, assessed using Aiken’s V, reached 0.78, indicating it is valid. Its practicality score, based on responses from teachers and students, was 87.00 out of 100, categorized as very practical. The findings indicate that the developed e-physics teaching materials are needed, valid, and practical, and are suitable for supporting the physics learning process. However, further studies are required to evaluate their effectiveness in improving 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Every human being needs safety in their lives from all disasters. However, earthquakes are the most impactful geological natural phenomena that can threaten human safety. One solution is to utilize an earthquake detection system to anticipate such disasters by utilizing sensor technology and the Internet of Thing (IoT). The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of various earthquake detection technologies, including vibration sensors such as SW-420, MAG3110, DHT11, ADXL335 Accelerometer, HC-SRO4, and 801S vibration sensor, as well as IoT integration in early warning systems. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with PRISMA design, including the steps of identification, screening, eligibility, and analysis of articles taken from the Google Scholar database for publications in 2018-2024. The results showed that the application of technologies such as Fuzzy Logic and vibration sensors, as well as IoT integration, significantly improved the effectiveness of earthquake detection and warning.

Abstract

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) in the 21st century is experiencing rapid development in the field of education. Education in the 21st century requires students to master 21st century skills and themes. One of the themes that students must master is environmental literacy. Based on the initial study conducted, students' environmental literacy is still low. One of the solutions provided to support the improvement of environmental literacy is the development of global warming e-module integrated with problem based learning model and ethnoscience to promote students' environmental literacy. The purpose of the study was to investigate the validity and practicality of the e-module. Product development refers to the Hannafin and Peck research and development model. The technique used in data analysis is descriptive statistics. Based on data analysis, two research results were obtained. First, the validity test results were 91.8 with a very good category. Second, the results of practicality according to teachers and students are 95.7 and 85.2 in the excellent category. The results concluded that the global warming e-module integrated with PBL model and ethnoscience to promote students' environmental literacy is valid and practical and can be used in supporting the physics learning process.
