Abstract

One of the ways to empower rural communities is to empower women farmer groups. One of the program activities in the women farmer group is the processing of agricultural commodities. The activity of processing agricultural commodities into a food product (off farm) can provide added value to the product and can make the product to be superior product. Limited knowledge related to product processing is a problem that can be overcome through community empowerment programs. The purpose of this activity is that women farmer groups in every hamlet in Salamrejo Village, Kulon Progo Regency can utilize superior commodities in their area into processed food products that have added value. The method used in this activity is counseling (edu-agriculture) and direct training practices on the manufacture of processed foods made from corn. The results of the activities obtained are in the form of increasing the knowledge of members of the women's farmer group regarding how to process food made from corn commodities so that they are cost-efficient and have a high selling price and can practice food processing made from corn commodities independently in groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis pengaruh tenaga kerja, luas lahan, jumlah benih, pupuk kandang, dan pupuk NPK terhadap produksi bawang merah di Desa Banaran, Kapanewon Galur, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, (2) menganalisis efisiensi alokatif penggunaan faktor produksi usahatani bawang merah di Desa Banaran, Kapanewon Galur, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, (3) menganalisis keadaan return to scale pada produksi bawang merah di Desa Banaran, Kapanewon Galur, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Metode penentuan lokasi dilakukan secara purposive di Desa Banaran. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 44 petani yang dihitung menggunakan rumus Slovin. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas, analisis efisiensi alokatif, dan analisis return to scale. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Faktor produksi yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi bawang merah adalah luas lahan dan pupuk kandang, sedangkan faktor produksi yang tidak berpengaruh adalah tenaga kerja, jumlah benih, dan pupuk NPK, (2) nilai efisiensi alokatif pada luas lahan adalah 14,2, sedangkan pupuk kandang 3,6 sehingga termasuk dalam kategori belum efisien secara alokatif, (3) nilai return to scale adalah sebesar 0,79 yang berarti usahatani bawang merah di Desa Banaran berada pada kondisi decreasing return to scale.

Abstract

CV FLOS Hidroponik Organik merupakan usaha pertanian modern yang membudidayakan melon hidroponik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi faktor lingkungan internal dan eksternal, (2) menganalisis alternatif strategi pengembangan usaha, (3) menentukan strategi prioritas pengembangan usaha. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan studi kasus. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara purposive. Jenis dan sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data menggunakan FGD, wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan kuisioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan IFE, EFE, matriks SWOT, dan matriks QSPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) faktor lingkungan internal meliputi kekuatan utama yaitu terdapat perencanaan usaha; saluran distribusi yang pendek; serta telah melakukan quality control. Sedangkan kelemahan utamanya yaitu belum mempunyai sistem informasi manajemen. Faktor lingkungan eksternal terdiri dari peluang utama yaitu ketersediaan air bersih yang memadai, sedangkan ancaman utamanya yaitu pesaing yang menghasilkan buah melon dengan kualitas dan kuantitas yang lebih baik, (2) Alternatif strategi pengembangan usaha yaitu mempertahankan dan meningkatkan standar kualitas melon; memperbanyak layanan edukasi melon yang kreatif dan inovatif; serta menambah tenaga kerja dan menjalin mitra kelompok tani lokal, (3) Strategi prioritas yang tepat untuk pengembangan usaha CV FLOS Hidroponik Organik yaitu mempertahankan dan meningkatkan standar kualitas melon.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan tahap proses produksi keju Mozzarella Rumah Keju Jogja. 2) menganalisis kejadian risiko pada proses produksi keju mozzarella Rumah Keju Jogja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif menggunakan studi kasus. Metode penentuan responden menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, pengisian lembar kerja FMEA, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data untuk mengidentifikasi proses produksi secara deskripsi, analisis risiko dilakukan menggunakan metode FMEA. Kesimpulan: proses produksi keju mozzarella terdiri dari 8 tahapan, yaitu penyediaan susu segar, pasteurisasi, pengasaman, koagulasi, dehidrasi, stretching, penggaraman & pencetakan, dan pengemasan. Risiko yang di atas nilai kritis ada 6 kejadian risiko, yaitu kuantitas susu tidak sesuai permintaan, kualitas susu tidak sesuai permintaan, susu terkontaminasi benda asing, susu terlalu asam, rasa keju tidak konsisten, dan kemasan rusak. Usulan strategi mitigasi yang diberikan adalah perbaikan komunikasi dan meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap supplier, pembuatan SOP, mengadakan evaluasi supplier, menyusun SSOP, penambahan tenaga kerja, serta pemberian pelatihan kepada karyawan.

Abstract

Herbal tea bags have become a major trend in the functional food industry, with increasing domestic demand. CV Dewi Makmur, a producer of herbal tea bags established in 2008 that produces more than 4,000 units per month, faces challenges due to fluctuations in raw material prices caused by seasonal and weather changes. These fluctuations have the potential to affect the company's profitability and long-term sustainability. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of changes in raw material prices on the feasibility of the herbal tea bag agroindustry at CV Dewi Makmur through sensitivity analysis. This research employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach and a case study design. The respondent selection was conducted using purposive sampling, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques included Focus Group Discussions (FGD), observations, and documentation. The data analysis involved calculating the Sensitivity Payback Period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI). The results indicate that the herbal tea bag agroindustry at CV Dewi Makmur remains financially feasible and is not sensitive to an 8% increase in raw material prices. This is supported by a Payback Period of 2 years, 3 months, and 3 days; a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 172,860,981; an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 58.47%; and a Profitability Index (PI) of 1.20. The study concludes that despite the rise in raw material prices, the business remains profitable and resilient.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the assessments, considerations, and adoption patterns of paddle wheel technology by the Mina Taruna Fish Farmers Group. The approach used is qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that members' assessments of paddle wheel technology covers aspects of relative advantage, suitability, complexity, ease of testing, and visibility of results. Members considered paddle wheel technology to be beneficial because it could increase stocking density, production yield, fish quality, and harvesting time efficiency, despite increased operational costs. Considerations for adoption were divided into four categories: accept permanently, accept temporarily, reject temporarily, and reject permanently. The decision to adopt is influenced by production benefits, market conditions, technical capabilities, and capital availability. Meanwhile, rejection is generally caused by limited facilities, pond conditions, and low business motivation. Overall, the results of the study show that the adoption of paddle wheel technology is determined by the interaction between perceived benefits, resource capabilities, and the socio-economic context of group members. These findings confirm that the successful implementation of technological innovations in fish farming is highly dependent on the compatibility between technical and social factors at the farmer level.
