Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine theappropriate foliar fertilizer in the use of Sonic Bloom Technology to the yield quality of tomato cv. cherry (Lycopersivcum cerasoforme Mill.) Split plot design with two factors was set in this experiment. The main plot was Sonic Bloom Technology (with and without Sonic Bloom) and the sub plot was four kinds of foliar fertilizer (Sonic Bloom Fertilizer, Growmore, Bayfolan, Hyponex). The quality parameters observed were number of open stomata, weight and diameter of tomato, color, moisture, content of total sugar and ascorbic acid . The result of this research showed that there was no interaction between Sonic Bloom Technology utilization and foliar fertilizer. Almost all quality parameters showed that treatments of Sonic Bloom are significantly higher than treatments without Sonic Bloom, except for color and moisture. Meanwhile, all quality parameters were not influenced by the kind of foliar fertilizer.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh teknologi Sonic Bloom dan macam pupuk daun terhadap kualitas hasil tanaman tomat cherry. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah percobaan lapangan dengan menggunakan rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design). Sebagai petak utama yaitu: menggunakan teknologi Sonic Bloom dan tanpa menggunakan Sonic Blom, sedangkan petak anakan yaitu macam pupuk daun terdiri atas pupuk Sonic Bloom, Grow More, Bayfolan, dan Hyponex. Parameter yang diamati meliputi, jumlah stomata membuka, diameter, berat, dan warna buah, kadar air, kadar gula dan kandungan vitamin C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan teknologi Sonic Bloom dan penggunaan berbagai pupuk daun. Semua parameter kualitas menunjukkan hasil yang lebih tinggi dengan menggunakan Sonic Bloom, kecuali untuk warna dan kadar air. Penggunaan macam pupuk daun tidak berpengaruh pada semua parameter kualitas.

Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to determine the best nitrogen and kalium fertilizer dosage to increase yields and quality of sweet potato. The experiment was conducted at Bandongan Kulon, Ngablak, Magelang, Central Java Province during the period of May up to October 2005, on latosol soil and 1,300 m height. A factorial experiment of 3×3 factors was employed, where the treatments were arranged in Randomized Block Design with three replicates. The first factor was nitrogen fertilizer dosage that consisted of three levels, i.e.: 46 kg N/ha equal with 100 kg Urea/ha, 92 kg N/ha equal with 200 kg Urea/ha and 138 kg N/ha equal with 300 kg Urea/ha. The second factor was kalium fertilizer dosage that consisted of three levels, i.e.: 60 kg N/ha equal with 100 kg KCl/ha, 120 kg N/ha equal with 200 kg KCl/ha and 180 kg N/ha equal with 300 kg KCl/ha. The result of the research showed that no interaction between nitrogen and kalium fertilizer dosage on the number of tuber per plant, weight of tuber per plant and weight of tuber per sample, but they increased yields quality significantly. Nitrogen 92 kg/ha and Kalium 180 kg/ha produced the highest sucrose contents, Nitrogen fertilizer 138 kg/ha and Kalium fertilizer 60 kg/ha produced the highest tuber starch, Nitrogen fertilizer 46 kg/ha and Kalium fertilizer 120 kg/ha produced the highest β–karoten.Keywords: Nitrogen, kalium, fertilizer, sweet potato

Abstract

Red cabbage is one of the vegetables that has a lot of nutrition content and it has a high economic value. This research aims to examine liquid organic fertilizer various and Trichoderma sp. on the growth and yeild of red gabbage (Brassica oleraceae var. capitata forma rubra L.). The research was conducted in May until July 2017 at Weron, Umbulharjo Village, Cangkringan, Sleman. This research used randomized complete block design (RCBD), 4 x 2 with four replications. The first factor was various of liquid organic fertilizer consists four variances: without liquid organic fertilizer, cow urine, bamboo root, and glereside. The second factor was Trichoderma sp. consists two variancese: without Trichoderma sp., and with Trichoderma sp. The observation result was analyzed by using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The result showed that there were an interaction between liquid organic fertilizer various and Trichoderma sp. on the plant height at 42 days (the days after planting), the leaves number at 42 days (the days after planting), the root lenght, the roots number, and the crop weight of red cabbage. The treatment combination of cow urine and Trichoderma sp. gave the best crop weight compared to other treatments. There was no significant effect on vitamin C and vitamin A content in the red cabbage.Keyword: red cabbage, liquid organic fertilizer, Tricoderma sp.

Abstract

Bougainvillea is one of the ornamental plants usually use for landscaping because of its colorful leaves and flowers. It is also used as a stabilizer and environmental preserver of pollution. This plant is propagated by cutting, however, there is a need to ensure easy growth of roots. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to determine the influence of stem cutting type and IBA concentration on vegetative growth of bougainvillea. The study was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran” Yogyakarta, between October 2019 and January 2020 using a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with a factorial arrangement. The factors include the terminal, middle, and basal types of stem cutting while the IBA concentration was varied between 50, 100, 150 ppm and without IBA. The result showed 100 ppm IBA on the middle and basal type produced higher shoot number and shoot length of bougainvillea. The middle and basal type produced the best of percentage cutting to life, root number, length of longest root, and root volume. The giving IBA in cuttings produced the better root growth than without IBA.

Abstract

Pertanian organik menjadi ciri khas Desa Wisata Kadisobo II mendesak untuk dilakukan. Wisata pertanian adalah aktivitas wisata yang melibatkan penggunaan lahan pertanian atau fasilitas terkait yang menjadi daya tarik bagi wisatawan. Jika keunikan desa wisata sudah terbentuk, selanjutnya perlu menciptakan persepsi yang koheren tentang desa wisata di benak beragam pemangku kepentingan. Hal ini merupakan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh banyak organisasi. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, upaya untuk menjadikan Kadisobo II Trimulyo, Kecamatan Sleman, Kabupaten Sleman sebagai daerah tujuan ecotourism selalu berada di benak pemangku kepentingan baik internal (masyarakatnya) maupun eksternal (pemerintah, wisatawan dan pelaku usaha) merupakan sebuah tantangan tersendiri. Branding dapat dikatakan sebagai pencitraan dari desa wisata yang diperlukan agar tampilan desa wisata tersebut lebih segar, lebih atraktif, lebih diingat orang dan pada akhirnya orang akan ramai datang berkunjung ke desa wisata tersebut. Lebih jauh, Kabupaten Sleman sebagai daerah tujuan ecotourism akan selalu berada dalam top of mind masyarakat sebagai tempat yang selalu menarik untuk dikunjungi. Hal ini akan tercapai jika kita bisa membangun kesadaran dan keingintahuan masyarakat terhadap desa wisata dan ecotourism.

Abstract

One of the ways to empower rural communities is to empower women farmer groups. One of the program activities in the women farmer group is the processing of agricultural commodities. The activity of processing agricultural commodities into a food product (off farm) can provide added value to the product and can make the product to be superior product. Limited knowledge related to product processing is a problem that can be overcome through community empowerment programs. The purpose of this activity is that women farmer groups in every hamlet in Salamrejo Village, Kulon Progo Regency can utilize superior commodities in their area into processed food products that have added value. The method used in this activity is counseling (edu-agriculture) and direct training practices on the manufacture of processed foods made from corn. The results of the activities obtained are in the form of increasing the knowledge of members of the women's farmer group regarding how to process food made from corn commodities so that they are cost-efficient and have a high selling price and can practice food processing made from corn commodities independently in groups.

Abstract

Hydroponics is the cultivation of plants using water or without the use of soil. Hydroponics is one of the limited land acquisitions. Hydroponics development can be done at Madrasah Aliyah Madania Bantul, but it requires special skills for students who take extracurricular agriculture and livestock. The problem is limited land at the location of Madrasah Aliyah Madania Bantul. Land has not been utilized, hydroponic cultivation has not been implemented to the fullest, and students' knowledge and skills are still limited about hydroponics. The methods used are lectures, discussions, training, practice and mentoring. The implementation of activities at the location of Madrasah Aliyah Madania Bantul school at Pondok Pesantren Modern Yatim and Dhuafa Madania Jl Gedongkuning Gang Nakula No. 165 Banguntapan Bantul. The activity began in June 2021, the number of participants was 15 people. The result of community service that madrasah madania bantul students already have life skills about hydroponics indicated by results before and after training improved. Utilization of the yard in Madrasah Aliyah Madania Bantul already uses hydroponics with various models of hydroponic systems and it has produced hydroponic products.

Abstract

Anggrek Dendrobium sp. merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hias yang sangat popular dan digemari masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji interaksi antara macam pupuk daun dengan media tanam, macam pupuk daun yang paling baik, dan macam media tanam yang paling baik terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman anggrek Dendrobium sp. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design). Petak Utama (Main Plot) adalah pupuk daun yang terdiri atas empat aras yaitu Gandasil D, Growmore Biru, POC Supra, dan POC Nasa. Anak Petak (Sub Plot) adalah media tanam yang terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu pakis, sabut kelapa, dan batang kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi perlakuan pupuk daun Gandasil D dengan media pakis memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter jumlah akar. Perlakuan macam pupuk daun memberikan hasil yang sama baik pada semua parameter. Penggunaan media batang kayu memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter panjang akar.

Abstract

Tanaman jagung ungu merupakan salah satu komoditas pangan yang banyak mengandung antosianin, namun masih kurang baik dalam teknik budidayanya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem pola baris terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung ungu, serta mengetahui jenis pupuk kandang yang terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung ungu. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2019 sampai Februari 2020 di kebun percobaan Wedomartani Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan yang disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama terdiri 3 aras yaitu: satu baris, dua baris dan kombinasi satu baris dan dua baris. Faktor kedua adalah jenis pupuk kandang terdiri 3 aras yaitu, pupuk kandang ayam 4,2 kg/petak, pupuk kandang sapi 4,2 kg/petak dan pupuk kandang kambing 4,2 kg/petak. Data pengamatan di analisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) pada jenjang nyata 5% dan yang terdapat beda nyata dilakukan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan yang paling baik ditunjukkan pada pola baris dua baris pada parameter tinggi tanaman dan hasil yang paling baik ditunjukkan pada kombinasi pola baris satu dan dua dan perlakuan pupuk kandang ayam pada parameter panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot. Pertumbuhan yang paling baik ditunjukkan pada pupuk kandang ayam (P3) pada parameter Panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot.
