Abstract

This study aims to design and validate a low-cost network security model based on open-source solutions by integrating Pi-hole and Quality of Service (QoS) as a technical implementation of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 controls for resource-constrained organizations. The implementation results demonstrate a significant improvement in security posture by blocking 14.1% of malicious and irrelevant DNS queries, while simultaneously enhancing network performance by reducing critical application latency by 45%. The key advantage of this model lies in its cost efficiency and its dual benefits of improved security and optimized performance within a single framework. However, the study also identifies limitations, particularly the potential for false positives that require manual whitelist management and reliance on trained personnel to ensure operational sustainability. The main contribution of this research is the provision of a simple, cost-effective, and standards-compliant technical framework, while also introducing a mathematical formulation to assess the trade-offs between security, performance, and cost. Future directions include integrating Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) for layered Defense and replicating the model into a turnkey security appliance that can be widely adopted by other organizations facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran keamanan siber terhadap ancaman phishing di lingkungan organisasi. Menggunakan Gophish sebagai alat utama, kami melaksanakan simulasi phishing untuk menilai tingkat kesadaran dan respons karyawan terhadap serangan phishing. Kampanye ini melibatkan perancangan email phishing, pengiriman kepada target, dan pemantauan hasilnya. Dari total 75 karyawan yang menjadi peserta simulasi, 13,3% membuka email phishing, 13,3% mengklik tautan di dalam email, dan 8% memasukkan informasi pribadi ke dalam halaman phishing palsu. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ada tingkat kesadaran yang cukup, masih terdapat celah signifikan dalam kemampuan karyawan untuk mendeteksi serangan phishing. Hanya 86,7% dari karyawan yang dapat mengidentifikasi dan melaporkan email phishing dengan benar. Gophish terbukti efektif dalam mengelola dan memantau kampanye phishing, dengan fitur-fitur seperti pelacakan klik dan laporan analitik yang memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang interaksi karyawan dengan email phishing. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya pendekatan proaktif dalam pelatihan dan kampanye kesadaran phishing. Organisasi disarankan untuk mengimplementasikan pelatihan yang lebih intensif dan berulang, serta menggunakan alat seperti Gophish untuk meningkatkan kesiapan karyawan dalam menghadapi ancaman phishing. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya strategi yang terencana untuk memperkuat keamanan siber secara keseluruhan di lingkungan organisasi.

Abstract

This study introduces the design and evaluation of an automatic roof drive prototype aimed at optimizing tomato cultivation. Developed to address the challenges of erratic weather, the system seeks to enhance the efficiency of tomato farming. The prototype integrates a weather sensor, microcontroller, and roof drive mechanism, allowing it to operate automatically based on real-time environmental conditions. Effectiveness was assessed through field trials measuring key growth parameters such as plant height, fruit number, and fruit quality. Results indicate that the automatic roof drive system significantly improves both the productivity and quality of tomato crops. Additionally, the system effectively mitigates losses due to extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain and excessive heat. These findings highlight the potential of automated roof drive technology to support more efficient and sustainable agriculture. Future work will focus on refining the system for broader applications and integrating advanced technologies such as IoT and machine learning for further optimization.

Abstract

Rapid developments in aquaculture have driven the need for efficient and sustainable feeding systems. This study presents the design and implementation of an automatic fish feeder using the Wokwi platform, integrated with the Blynk application. The system aims to deliver feed at optimal intervals and quantities, improving fish growth while minimizing waste. The research utilizes ESP32 as the main controller and servo motors to operate the feeder mechanism. Feeding schedules can be remotely controlled via the Blynk mobile app, allowing for flexible and precise feed management. Testing results indicate that the system consistently provides accurate feed portions at designated intervals, demonstrating reliability and ease of use. This automated feeder offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for aquaculture, reducing the labor and inefficiencies associated with manual feeding. Consequently, this innovation represents a significant advancement in aquaculture technology, promoting sustainable practices and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Abstract

Higher education institutions in Indonesia have emerged as primary targets for cyberattacks, particularly phishing, due to the high value of academic data and the inherent openness of information access. Conventional technical security approaches often fail to mitigate human error, which remains a critical vulnerability. This study aims to develop a phishing vulnerability detection model based on active participation (self-assessment) using the WiCanary platform to enable academic communities to measure their security risks independently. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, contextual phishing simulations were conducted on 100 respondents at the Budi Utomo Institute of Technology. The experimental results revealed an average vulnerability rate (Click Rate) of 22%, contrasted by a low Reporting Rate of only 7%. A significant gap was identified between theoretical knowledge and actual behavior, particularly among faculty members who exhibited the Dunning-Kruger Effect in response to administrative-themed scenarios. However, the implementation of the self-assessment model successfully enhanced knowledge retention and reduced vulnerability by 40% in subsequent testing. In conclusion, this model serves as an effective, persuasive, and sustainable early mitigation strategy to fortify the human firewall within academic environments.

Abstract

Cloud computing is one revolution in information technology (IT) that can share resources, services and data through a network among users. Because users have same rights on the network to transfer data, data are vulnerable to be attacked by unauthorized person. Lately, data security in a system only concentrates on data storage on cloud by utilizing internet security, but a little concentration is found during data transfer. By considering security as a serious problem, an encryption-based proposed system is presented to secure during data transfer. Authors propose an approach to boost system security during data transfer in order to prevent data theft by unauthorized person. To prevent an attack by unauthorized person, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) will be proposed to secure data transfer and storage in cloud computing. For better future, authors will propose Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to generate suggestions and opportunities in AES cloud computing.

Abstract

The face-to-face learning system is an effective method. However, there are several weaknesses in the face-to-face method, namely limited time for evaluation and discussion, because time is wasted during face-to-face meetings by delivering several courses. The aim of this research is to develop an E-learning prototype at Wiralodra University to complete the face-to-face learning system. Stages in building an E-Learning prototype apply the stages in the prototype model. Stages in building an E-Learning prototype apply the stages in the prototype model. This has three stages, namely receiving opinions from customers, building and improving prototypes, testing and evaluation. Apart from that, data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and building and improving prototypes.

Abstract

Integrating technology into the education process is an important step towards the digital age, especially in Jakarta's school environment. "Community Dialogue: Combining Technology and Innovative Teaching Methodologies in Schools" started as a discussion forum aimed at addressing issues and opportunities related to the application of technology in education. The event brought together various stakeholders, including teachers, technology experts and policy makers, to share knowledge and best practices with a focus on implementing innovative teaching methodologies. Participants were invited to work together and help build strategies for using technology in the classroom through group discussions and Q&A sessions. Adaptive curriculum development, the use of digital tools in teaching, and blended learning approaches were some of the topics discussed. The results of the discussion showed that teachers should be trained in educational technology and the curriculum should be adapted to support digital learning. As an effort to improve the quality of education in Jakarta, this discussion emphasized the importance of the involvement of all parties in the effective implementation of educational technology. This dedication is very important, especially in providing direction and guidance for schools in Jakarta to use educational technology that is sophisticated and relevant to the needs of students in the modern era.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini adalah fase penting dalam pembentukan karakter manusia dan dasar keilmuan. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi informasi, ada peluang untuk memasukkan metode pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik melalui konten edukasi digital. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pendidik yang bekerja di lingkungan pendidikan anak usia dini untuk membuat workshop pembuatan konten digital. Tujuan utama adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan pendidik dalam membuat konten digital yang efektif dan menarik bagi anak-anak. Workshop ini melibatkan praktik langsung, diskusi kelompok, dan instruksi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa para pendidik dapat membuat konten edukasi digital yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran anak usia dini, bahwa teknologi harus dimasukkan ke dalam pendidikan anak usia dini dan bahwa pendidik harus berperan aktif dalam membuat lingkungan belajar yang inovatif. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan jenis ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak usia dini dalam era digital saat ini.

Abstract

White oyster mushrooms are woody mushrooms that can be consumed and have high nutritional content including calcium, carbohydrates, iron, potassium and phosphorus. This time we are doing community service to mushroom plant business actors, aiming to find out the obstacles faced by business actors cultivating this mushroom plant, so that by analysing the impact of temperature on mushroom plants, we can contribute suggestions for white oyster mushroom plant business actors, so that crop yields increase. In observing this temperature, we used the method of interviewing business actors, then from the sources we interviewed, we made an analysis and we also made observations on mushroom plants. From the results of our observations we concluded that to get good mushroom production the temperature must be maintained around 24-28 Degrees Celsius, if the temperature is too high then the harvest will not be good. From the results of the observations made so that mushroom plant business actors can productively maintain the temperature in oyster mushroom plants so that the quality of the harvest is good.
