With the development of today's technology, it is not uncommon for AI to become a threat to young filmmakers in developing their ideas in the right way, and AI is only becoming an aid and not the main tool to achieve independent filmmaking. This study aims to observe how budget and technical constraints in independent film production drive innovation in narrative and filmmaking styles. This research takes the subject of a 2024 production film with the title "Angkara Murka" by filmmaker Eden Junjung. The main focus of this study is to observe how independent films are produced with limited resources and rely on the creativity of their creators to produce high-quality works that can compete with the production of commercial films and be presented in cinema media. In the process, this research uses a qualitative approach to analyze a case study of an independent film titled "Angkara Murka" which successfully uses the technique of film .In the process, this research uses a qualitative approach to analyze a case study of an independent film titled "Angkara Wrake" which successfully uses simple film techniques and strong narratives to create a visual experience that is acceptable in terms of message and story meaning by the audience. In indie film production, it is not uncommon for filmmakers to find that budget constraints often lead to the use of innovative techniques to create authentic cinematic effects, such as the use of natural light, locations with no rental fees, and low-cost cameras. In addition, these limitations also encourage the development of a more focused and intense narrative, with deeper characters and a more focused storyline. The study shows that despite the great challenges associated with small costs, cost constraints can motivate independent filmmakers to find creative solutions that produce good visual style and original narratives.
