Abstract

The use of pictorial Learning Cards aims to make it easier for students to provide associations with concepts and materials so that the images that students get can generate creative ideas. The pictorial kick card is expected to improve students' spatial and visual abilities. The purpose of this Literature Review is to review articles that examine Learning Card Development towards Improving Student Teamwork and Knowledge. The data used comes from journals that contain the concepts under study. The data collection process was carried out by filtering from 17,071 literary sources to 7 literatures based on the criteria determined by the author of each journal taken. The criteria referred to include the year the literature sources were taken from 2016 to 2019, the suitability of writing keywords, the relationship between the results of writing and discussion. Strategies in collecting journals for various literatures using accredited journal sites such as Google Scholar, Science Direct and BMC Medical Education. An effective way of writing for journal settings is by entering keywords according to the writing title such as "Learning Card AND Teamwork AND Knowledge. On the Learning card is a card that contains keywords in learning that are used by students in preparing solutions, concepts and problem solving both sequentially and systematically.

Abstract

Feeding premature and low birth weight (LBW) babies requires careful consideration due to their heightened vulnerability. Donor breast milk offers essential nutrients, antibodies, and beneficial bacteria, reducing the risk of infections and promoting healthy gut microbiota. However, accessibility and cost constraints pose challenges for many families. Formula milk provides a convenient alternative but lacks the immune-boosting properties of breast milk and may increase the risk of digestive problems and metabolic diseases later in life. Informed decision-making is crucial, considering both short-term benefits and long-term risks. Further research and support are needed to ensure optimal nutrition for premature and LBW babies, empowering parents and healthcare providers alike. Keywords: Premature babies; low birth weight babies; donor breast milk; formula milk

Abstract

Lower Back Pain (LBP) is a frequently reported issue among people in different domains, including students enrolled in nursing education programmes. Nursing students frequently endure prolonged periods of sitting during their participation in lecture activities. An unergonomic sitting posture and extended periods of sitting can increase the likelihood of experiencing lower back pain (LBP) complaints. This study investigated the correlation between sitting posture and duration and the occurrence of low back pain (LBP) complaints in nursing students at the College of Health Sciences of Pasapua Ambon. This research methodology was characterised by its analytical nature and relies on primary data collected using a cross-sectional approach. A total of 76 participants were included in the study, and they were provided with a Google form including a questionnaire to complete. The acquired data was subsequently examined using both univariate and bivariate methods. The findings indicated no statistically significant correlation between the sitting posture and complaints of lower back pain (LBP). A notable correlation existed between the amount of time spent sitting and lower back pain (LBP) symptoms. These findings suggest that focusing on the amount of time spent sitting rather than the specific sitting posture to reduce lower back pain complaints among university students is more crucial. This highlights the necessity of restricting extended periods of sitting while also emphasising the importance of taking sufficient breaks and engaging in frequent stretching.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge and information about sex, as well as wrong perceptions about aspects of sexuality, is one indicator of increased free sex behavior among adolescents. The purpose of this community service is to provide early adolescents with knowledge about reproductive health in adolescents. The method used includes the design and manufacture of community service practice materials as well as material counseling on adolescent reproductive health. The results of the service show that the participants' knowledge is high after being given counseling material, namely 85,4%. In addition, based on oral evaluations, 80% of the participants were able to re-explain the definition of adolescent reproductive health, how to protect the reproductive organs, reproductive organ infections, and HIV-AIDS. It is recommended that schools cooperate with health centers in providing information about adolescent reproductive health.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood. Lack of knowledge among adolescents about the prevention of free sexual behavior from an early age can increase free sexual behavior during their growth and development. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of peer group discussion on increasing knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about the prevention of free sexual behavior among adolescents aged 12-15 years at SMPN 2 Bangkinang Kota, class VIII. The sample of this study consisted of 22 students. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Data collection was done using a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study included univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the study on the effect of peer group discussion on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about the prevention of free sexual behavior before the intervention (Pv= 0.000; Pv= 0.002 ? 0.05). It is hoped that respondents will seek information about the prevention of free sexual behavior from various sources, one of which is by using the peer group discussion method.

Abstract

Introduction: Cooperative learning, one of the widely applied active pedagogical methods, aims to improve students' abilities. This approach is based on the concept that learning occurs in a social context, involving interaction between individuals, the environment, and peers. However, research on this active method is still limited, especially in the context of higher education and communication. Research shows that cooperative learning can improve students' social and intellectual development, help them hone their interpersonal skills, and increase their sense of accomplishment, productivity, and psychological well-being. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test One Group Design experimental design, involving 104 respondents and a total sampling technique. The instruments used for data collection are learning cards and knowledge questionnaires. Results: The study showed a significant difference in students' knowledge before and after applying the "Make a Match" learning model using learning cards, with an average overall score of 3596, a standard deviation of 4654, and a p-value < 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the "Make a Match" learning model that uses learning cards is more effective in increasing student knowledge than methods that do not.

Abstract

Introduction : Malaria, caused by the Plasmodium parasite transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes, remains a serious health problem in Indonesia and throughout the world. Research on the effect of Gambir Laut leaf extract on malaria and its impact on liver damage is very important in overcoming the spike in malaria cases in Indonesia.Method: This research is a laboratory experiment. Results: The results of measuring SGPT enzyme levels showed that the administration of Gambir Laut infusion extract could reduce SGPT enzyme levels in mice infected with Plasmodium berghei ANKA. The lowest SGPT levels were in the group of infected mice that were only given a 10% dose of Sea Gambir extract. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that administration of Gambir Laut infusion extract at doses of 01.%, 1% and 10% in mice infected with Plasmodium berghei ANKA can reduce levels of the SGPT enzyme.
