The underlying problem is the low mastery of students' basic dribbling techniques which is characterized by a lack of ball control and movement coordination during learning. The research method used is quantitative with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample amounted to 33 students who were randomly selected from a population of 132 grade VIII students. The research instrument was in the form of a dribbling skill test with a soccer dribble test and a practice assessment sheet. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests (t tests). The results of the analysis showed an increase in dribbling learning outcomes after the application of the inquiry learning model. The average posttest score.

Abstract

Study purpose. This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on interest in physical education (PE) among eighth-grade students at SMPN 18 Kota Cirebon. Learning motivation is an important factor that encourages students to be more active and interested in the learning process, especially in PE, which requires both physical and mental involvement. Materials and method. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 31 eighth-grade students from Class VIII A. Data collection instruments consisted of a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure motivation and learning interest levels before and after the intervention. The intervention involved instruction using the demonstration method. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. Results. The results showed that learning motivation significantly influenced interest in physical education learning. The increase in motivation through the demonstration method was proven to enhance students' interest in participating in learning. Conclusions. Therefore, physical education teachers are advised to maximise the use of interactive learning methods such as demonstrations to encourage students' motivation and interest in learning.

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of smartphone technology media use on student learning outcomes in volleyball passing material in class VIII MTsN 10 Cirebon. The objectives of this study include: (1) measuring the effect of using smartphone technology learning media on student learning outcomes; (2) comparing the differences in learning outcomes between the use of smartphone technology media and conventional learning models; and (3) assessing student responses to the use of smartphone technology media in the physical education learning process. The research method used was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. In this study, students were given a pretest before the intervention and a posttest after the use of smartphone technology media to measure changes in underhand passing skills. Based on the results of the t-test (partial), the variable of smartphone technology media use in this study had an effect on student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the t-test results which obtained a significant value of (Sig. t = 0.008 < 0.05) and a t-value of 2.378 > t- table 0.6833. From these results, Ha was accepted. The analysis results show a significant increase in students' underhand passing ability after using smartphone technology media, with a higher post-test average score compared to the pre-test. These findings indicate that the use of instructional videos and interactive smartphone-based applications is effective in improving students' understanding and skills. In addition, this study also found that students showed higher motivation and greater engagement in the learning process when using technology that was familiar to them. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of smartphone technology has a positive effect on student learning outcomes in physical education, particularly in the subject of volleyball passing.

Abstract

Anthropometry can be defined as the science of measuring the human body. Because anthropometry is very important for improving academic performance, the current problem addressed by this study is the decline in academic performance due to the lack of anthropometric data collected in schools. Physical education teachers find it difficult to select prospective athletes or high-achieving students, so the researchers helped the school by collecting data on 11th grade students to conduct anthropometric tests. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the physical and nutritional conditions of the students and to serve as a reference for improving the quality of athletes. The method used in this study was quantitative descriptive, which only describes or explains the results of anthropometric measurements on students. The instruments used were the DBON 8 criteria measurement test (weight, height, leg length, palm length, foot length, arm span, hand span, sitting height), and documentation. The population was 11th grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Cirebon. The sample used was purposive sampling. Based on the results of research analysis and data processing using descriptive statistics for body measurements of 30 students, it was found that class 11 A had the criteria for athletes, as seen from the minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation values of the eight types of measurements. Therefore, it can be concluded that the anthropometric measurements of students in class 11 A at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Cirebon show that the 8 types of anthropometric measurements determined by KEMENPORA indicate that the students have ideal body weight and height. and measurements such as hand span, arm span, hand length, foot length, sitting height, and leg length, 85% of students in class 11 have athletic bodies.
