Abstract

Interaction ability and Improvement of a person's personality and character can be encouraged through stimulus with learning strategies that foster children's interest, for example introducing stacking block games in early childhood. Students at Boh Hate Ma Kindergarten are very enthusiastic about stacking block games. Each student cooperated with each other and built communication to choose the appropriate color for the building they were going to shape. The stacking block game is an educational game and is not bound by rules so that students can freely form buildings according to their wishes. Abstract

The potential for the development of eggshells into a product has not been looked at by the public so that the egg waste produced is considered as useless waste. The egg cang business into organic fertilizer can be a promising opportunity to be developed. The lack of public knowledge to manage eggshells makes egg shells simply thrown away without being used as a product with economic value. Socialization activities for eggshell business opportunities can foster the interest of housewives to start a business derived from eggshell waste. The high enthusiasm of housewives in participating in every stage of fertilizer making comes from egg shells to the packaging process. Marketing is one of the obstacles because this eggshell fertilizer product can only be marketed in Lamnga Village, Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Introduction: Staphylococcus aureus is a bacterium that causes various infections and has demonstrated increasing resistance to antibiotics, highlighting the need for alternative antibacterial agents from natural sources. The pseudostem of Musa paradisiaca var. balbisiana Colla contains flavonoids, tannins, and saponins with potential antibacterial properties. Studies evaluating the dose–response relationship of extracts from specific local sources remain limited. This study aimed to determine the effect of different concentrations of ethanolic extract of the pseudostem on the inhibition zone diameter of S. aureus. Methods: The ethanolic extract was tested at concentrations of 6.25%, 12.5%, 25%, and 50% using the disk diffusion method. Vancomycin was used as the positive control and sterile distilled water as the negative control. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance with a significance level of p < 0.05, followed by a post hoc Duncan’s test. Results: The mean inhibition zone diameters were 7.48 mm, 9.18 mm, 10.12 mm, and 10.88 mm, respectively. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences among all concentrations tested. Conclusion: The extract exhibited concentration-dependent antibacterial activity and shows potential as a natural antibacterial candidate, providing novelty through dose–response analysis and supporting further research development.
