Abstract

The management of the deceased is a collective obligation (fardhu kifayah) that every Muslim must understand, including madrasah students as future bearers of religious values. However, students’ awareness and practical skills regarding funeral management remain limited, requiring a structured educational program. This study aims to describe the implementation of training and socialization on funeral management for madrasah students and to analyze improvements in their understanding and skills. The research employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach using pre‐tests, post‐tests, and direct observation. The findings indicate significant improvement in students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, demonstrated by better knowledge of Islamic procedures for washing, shrouding, praying over, and burying the deceased. Students also exhibited greater readiness and confidence in performing these practices within the community. Thus, the training program effectively enhances students’ religious competence and character development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the implementation of educational promotion strategies in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau, 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors of educational promotion strategies in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. This research was conducted at MAS Nahdatul Islam Mandau. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data compression, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the implementation of educational promotion strategies went well in increasing the number of students at MAS Nahdatul Islam Mandau, 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors of educational promotion strategies went well in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau. Supporting factors include having a strategic location, affordable madrasah fees, inhibiting factors include imperfect facilities and infrastructure owned by the madrasah, experiencing intense competition, and the existence of an equivalent madrasah aliyah, because rural communities have the mindset that private schools are expensive.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is an effort to make it easier to learn Arabic in class VII students at MTs As-syafi’iyah Pinggir, Bengkalis District. The first question that will be answered through this research is; whether the application of the audiolingual method can make it easier to learn Arabic in MTs As-syafi’iyah Pinggir ?. To answer this question, this research uses class action research (PTK) for 2 cycles. The purpose of this study was to make it easier to learn Arabic in class VII students of MTs As-syafi’iyah Pinggir, Kab. Bengkalis through the application of the audiolingual method. Based on the analysis of the data obtained that the application of the audiolingual method in Arabic learning can improve Arabic speaking exercises for grade VII students at MTs As-syafi’iyah Pinggir Kab. Bengkalis. This is evidenced by the average value in the first cycle of students who completed 13 students equivalent to 60% and 10 students who did not complete the equivalent of 40%, while the second cycle of students who completed 19 students was equivalent to 85% and students who did not complete a total of 4 students is equivalent to 15%. The application of the audiolingual method has a good influence in learning Arabic, this can be proven that the audiolingual method can improve the ability to speak Arabic in grade VII students at MTs As-syafi’iyah Pinggir, Kab. Bengkalis because it can increase the percentage of students completeness in cycles 1 and 2 by experiencing an increase of 25%. Kata Kunci: Audiolingual Method, Action Research, Arabic Language
