Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan permukiman di daerah perkotaan berbanding lurus dengan pertumbuhan penduduk. Ciri yang menonjol dari permukiman di kampung kota adalah gang sempit, kerapatan bangunan yang tinggi dan ketinggian bangunan yang beragam. Gang di permukiman kampung-kota tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana sirkulasi tetapi juga menjadi sarana berbagai aktivitas masyarakat lainnya dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari. Kualitas pencahayaan di kampung kota yang padat memiliki pengaruh sangat besar terhadap kenyamanan, keamanan, dan keselamatan. Pada penelitian ini, analisa dilakukan pada kondisi fisik bangunan terhadap kualitas pencahayaan yang terkait aktivitas masyarakat bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas pencahayaan terhadap aktivitas pada gang di kawasan kampung kota . Kawasan yang menjadi objek pengamatan adalah perkampungan di daerah Sukasenang, Kelurahan Cikutra, Kecamatan Cibeunying Kidul, Kota Bandung karena dianggap dapat mewakili karakteristik kampung – kota yang ada di Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif penentuan rasio dan arah jalur sirkulasi yang baik dalam memperoleh kualitas pencahayaan optimal dan layak untuk melakukan aktivitas pada gang kampung kota. Kata Kunci : gang, kondisi fisik, aktivitas, pencahayaan alami. ABSTRACT The development of settlements in urban areas is directly proportional to the population of growth. A prominent feature of the village settlements in the city is a narrow alley, building high density and height of buildings that vary. Alleys in the hometown not only serves as a means of circulation but also a means of various other community activities in performing daily life Quality lighting in the crowded hometown has a very big influence on comfort, security, and safety. In this study, the analysis conducted on the physical condition of the building on the quality of lighting-related community activities aimed to determine how the quality of light on the activities of the alleys in the hometown area of the city. Regions that become the object of observation is a village in the area Sukasenang, Village Cikutra, District Cibeunying Kidul, Bandung City. because it is considered to represent the characteristics of the hometown in Bandung. The results of this study can be used as an alternative to the determination of the ratio and good circulation path toward obtaining optimal lighting quality and worth to conduct activities in the alleys of howmetown. Abstract

In this work silver nano/micro-particles have been synthesized using sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) plant extract as a bio-reducing agent. The effects of different plant extract concentrations, AgNO3 precursor concentrations, and reaction time on the synthesized silver nano/micro-particles were investigated. The silver nano/micro-particles samples were then analyzed using UV-Vis spectrophotometer (UV-Vis), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Particle Size Analyzer (PSA), and Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) spectroscopy. The UV-Vis absorbance spectrum of the colloid silver nano/micro-particles exhibited that all samples had absorbance peaks at a wavelength around 450 nm, confirming the formation of silver nano/micro-particles. It was also found that the UV-Vis absorbance peak of the silver nano/micro-particles inversely increased with decreasing AgNO3 solution concentration. Whereas, the higher the sambiloto extract concentration the higher the UV-Vis absorbance peaks. The UV-Vis absorbance peak increased with increasing synthesis time, suggesting that silver nano/micro-particles became more prominent. The UV-Vis absorbance peaks of the silver nano/micro-particles were about 0.0462, 0.0637, 0.0729, and 0.0936 at reaction time of 5, 10, 20, and 40 min, respectively. The XRD analysis result confirmed that the synthesized silver nano/micro-particles were in the form of nanocrystals with a face-centered cubic centered without any impurities. Additionally, the FESEM images showed that the silver nano/micro-particles had the primary particle size of 150-300 nm. There was the formation of some secondary particles with the size of about 0.7-1.5?m due to the agglomeration of primary particles. The particle size distribution analysis further confirmed the presence of primary and secondary particles. Meanwhile, the FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of four main peaks, linked to functional groups in the sambiloto extract and involved in the creation of silver nano/micro-particles.

Abstract

Haurgeulis District in Indramayu Regency is known as one of the areas producing quality soybeans. In this region, many mothers who are members of UMKM take advantage of this potential by producing soy milk. However, the process of making soy milk is still manual, one of which is the stirring stage during heating. This often results in inconsistent results and requires quite a lot of effort. To overcome this problem, research was carried out to design and build a soy milk mixing machine expected to increase production efficiency and quality, as well as support UMKM in developing their businesses. The purpose of this design is to make the mixing process easier, the method used is how much power is needed, how much production capacity, how much electricity is used, and which form of the stirrer can produce fast, consistent, and even mixing. The result of this design is a motor power of around 0.18 kW. Apart from that, stirrer C required the shortest time with an average of 2.54 seconds. The process of cooking milk in one production of 4 liters takes 1 hour and 6 minutes over low heat. At 100 rpm rotation, the power consumed is 844.2 W. The electricity costs to operate this machine are around IDR 7,000-IDR 10,000 per month to produce 1 hour per day.

Abstract

The development of automation technology in modern industry demands an increase in technical competence for vocational students, particularly in the field of pneumatics. The widespread application of pneumatic systems in industrial processes makes mastering this technology essential for students in the machinery department. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of pneumatic system training for Machinery Department students at the Vocational High School (SMK) PGRI Jatibarang in enhancing their knowledge and skills. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test format. Students were provided with theoretical materials, guidance, and hands-on practice on pneumatic equipment. The analysis results show an average N-Gain of 0.863, which falls into the high improvement category, indicating that this training significantly impacts students' understanding of pneumatic systems. The implications of this research suggest that practice-based training and material reinforcement can serve as effective strategies in vocational education to prepare students for industry demands, emphasizing the importance of hands-on approaches in technical skills learning.

Abstract

Abstrak. Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, termasuk di sektor bengkel motor. Namun, di balik operasionalnya, para pekerja menghadapi tantangan berat, terutama dalam hal beban kerja mental dan fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat beban kerja mental para mekanik menggunakan metode NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index), yang menilai enam aspek utama: tuntutan mental, tuntutan fisik, tuntutan waktu, kinerja pribadi, usaha, dan tingkat frustrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek usaha (Effort) memiliki skor tertinggi dengan rata-rata 364, disusul oleh tuntutan fisik (328) dan tuntutan waktu (124). Operator dengan beban kerja mental tertinggi memperoleh skor NASA-TLX sebesar 82, sementara yang terendah adalah 72. Beban kerja yang tinggi ini disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, seperti banyaknya pekerjaan yang harus diselesaikan dalam waktu terbatas, tuntutan hasil kerja yang sempurna, serta kurangnya tenaga kerja sehingga karyawan harus bekerja lebih keras. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, beberapa solusi dapat diterapkan, seperti menambah tenaga kerja, menyederhanakan proses pencatatan, serta memberikan insentif bagi pekerja lembur. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, diharapkan kesejahteraan pekerja meningkat dan produktivitas bengkel tetap terjaga.Kata Kunci: Beban kerja mental, NASA-TLX, mekanik bengkel, stres kerja, produktivitas.Abstract. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the Indonesian economy, including the motorcycle repair sector. However, behind their operations, workers face tough challenges, especially in terms of mental and physical workload. This study aims to measure the level of mental workload of mechanics using the NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) method, which assesses six main aspects: mental demands, physical demands, time demands, personal performance, effort, and frustration level. The results showed that the Effort aspect had the highest score with an average of 364, followed by Physical demands (328) and Time demands (124). The operator with the highest mental workload obtained a NASA-TLX score of 82, while the lowest was 72. This high workload is caused by various factors, such as the amount of work that must be completed in a limited time, the demand for perfect work results, and the lack of manpower so that employees have to work harder. To overcome this problem, several solutions can be implemented, such as increasing the workforce, simplifying the recording process, and providing incentives for overtime workers. With these measures, it is hoped that worker welfare will improve and workshop productivity will be maintained.Keyword: Mental workload, NASA-TLX, workshop mechanic, work stress, productivity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan komponen vital dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman, sehat, dan produktif. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting khususnya di sektor informal seperti bengkel motor, di mana risiko kecelakaan kerja cukup tinggi akibat penggunaan alat berat, paparan bahan kimia berbahaya, serta kurangnya penerapan prosedur kerja yang aman. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Bengkel Motor milik Bapak Sukirno yang berlokasi di Desa Pawidean, Kecamatan Jatibarang, Kabupaten Indramayu. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan meningkatkan kesadaran pekerja serta pemilik bengkel mengenai pentingnya penerapan prinsip-prinsip K3 dalam aktivitas kerja sehari-hari. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan observasi awal, penyampaian materi K3, diskusi partisipatif, simulasi penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), serta penyebaran media edukatif berupa leaflet dan poster. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pekerja terhadap potensi bahaya kerja, pentingnya penggunaan APD, serta perlunya prosedur keselamatan sederhana yang dapat diterapkan secara konsisten. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal untuk membentuk budaya kerja yang lebih aman dan berkelanjutan di bengkel-bengkel kecil, serta memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menurunkan potensi kecelakaan kerja di sektor informal. Abstract:  Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a vital component in creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. This is especially important in the informal sector such as motorcycle repair shops, where the risk of work accidents is quite high due to the use of heavy equipment, exposure to hazardous chemicals, and the lack of implementation of safe work procedures. This community service was carried out at Mr. Sukirno's Motorcycle Repair Shop located in Pawidean Village, Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency. The purpose of this activity is to provide education and increase awareness of workers and repair shop owners regarding the importance of implementing K3 principles in daily work activities. The activity was carried out through the stages of initial observation, delivery of K3 materials, participatory discussions, simulations of the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and distribution of educational media in the form of leaflets and posters. The results of the activity showed an increase in workers' understanding of potential work hazards, the importance of using PPE, and the need for simple safety procedures that can be applied consistently. This activity is expected to be the first step in forming a safer and more sustainable work culture in small repair shops, as well as making a real contribution to reducing the potential for work accidents in the informal sector. Abstract

Proses pengayakan merupakan tahap penting dalam industri pengolahan tepung untuk menghasilkan produk dengan ukuran partikel seragam dan tekstur halus. Namun, pada skala usaha kecil dan menengah, kegiatan ini masih banyak dilakukan secara manual sehingga menurunkan efisiensi dan konsistensi hasil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mensimulasikan mesin pengayak tepung dengan kapasitas 10 kg yang efisien, kuat, dan higienis untuk mendukung produktivitas industri kecil dan menengah. Proses perancangan dilakukan melalui tahap konseptual, pemodelan 3D menggunakan SolidWorks, serta simulasi statik untuk menganalisis kekuatan struktur dan respons mekanik terhadap gaya getar. Desain mesin terdiri atas rangka utama berbahan hollow galvanis 1 mm sebagai penopang global, panci penyaring dan penampungan dari stainless steel 2 mm untuk menjaga higienitas, serta sistem eksitasi getar menggunakan bandul tak seimbang dengan motor induksi ½ HP berkecepatan 1500 rpm. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan tegangan maksimum sebesar 96,6 MPa dengan factor of safety (FOS) sebesar 2,1 dan perpindahan maksimum 0,291 mm, menandakan struktur mampu menahan beban kerja dengan baik. Gaya eksitasi teoritis yang dihasilkan berada pada kisaran ±23–50 N, cukup untuk memecah aglomerat tanpa merusak tekstur tepung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, desain mesin pengayak tepung ini dinilai layak untuk direalisasikan ke tahap prototipe karena memiliki kinerja mekanik yang stabil, efisien, dan sesuai untuk aplikasi pengayakan tepung skala kecil hingga menengah.
