Abstract

As a solution to the problem of the Cost Recovery production sharing contract system, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources issued Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 08 of 2017 concerning Gross Split Production Sharing Contracts. This new regulation is motivated by the low number and length of time it took for oil and gas reserves to be discovered, accompanied by Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) for the upstream oil and gas sector which continues to decline. The Gross Split production sharing contract scheme also offers a reduction in bureaucracy in investing which is expected to attract investors to carry out exploration and exploitation in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the legal principles related to Gross Split regulations in the aspect of improving the investment climate for upstream oil and gas and analyze the new role of the Oil and Gas Special Task Force as an institution appointed by the state to exercise control and supervision of the activities of Cooperation Contract Contractors in Sharing Contracts.

Abstract

Transient pressure analysis is designed to provide a quantitative analysis of reservoir properties. The data from the test results are collected to support information on a reservoir which is then used to become a predictive model and update the geological model. Based on the type, Pressure Transient is divided into pressure Build up and Pressure Drawdown. In testing, Pressure Transient analysis can describe the characteristics of the reservoir properties or the formation's ability to produce fluid. This test has advantages compared to other techniques in determining reservoir characteristics, because the transient pressure test covers a larger area so that it allows estimation of porosity, reservoir permeability, average pressure, skin, fracture length, reservoir heterogeneity, drainage area, shape, and even distance. can reach up to the boundary or flow discontinuities.

Abstract

Water-Based Mud (WBM) and Oil-Based Mud (OBM) are the most commonly used drilling fluids today and both have several different characteristics. Oil Based Mud (OBM) is an oil-based drilling mud consisting of base oil (such as crude oil), emulsifying agent, and additional materials. This study aims to determine the use of oil based mud in the oil and gas drilling process. The research methodology used is literature study, with data collection obtained from related companies, and practitioners who have experience in using OBM. The data obtained was processed qualitatively and quantitatively to determine the use of OBM in the oil and gas drilling process. This study focuses on the use of OBM in the oil and gas drilling process. The purpose of this study is to find out what materials are used in OBM, how to use OBM in the drilling process and to calculate the estimated total cost required for materials for using Oil Based Mud (OBM) in the oil and gas drilling process. The results of the study show that the nominal that must be spent for materials for the manufacture of Oil Based Mud (OBM) in the oil and gas drilling process is  342548,442 USD.

Abstract

Drilling operations are one of the most vital operations in supporting the oil and gas production efforts of a field. Cement plug or plugging is a term used in the oil and gas industry to refer to the process of cement well plugs in drilling wells that have various purposes, these cement plugs can be installed at various depths in the well. This research was conducted with several methodologies from the type of research, data collection techniques, data analysis, and data processing. In the process of cementing the 26 "route plug, the volume capacity of cement slurry obtained is 150.27 bbls, the total required sack of cement is 746.63 sacks, the acquisition of mix water required in the 26" route plug cementing process required is 83.16 bbls, the additives needed for this cementing for tail slurry are silica flour of 28073.29 lb, Antifoam Agent 7.46 gal, Dispersant 140.37 lb, and Accelerator of 210.55 lb. In calculating cementing materials, detailed accuracy is needed, because if there is an error in the calculation, it will cause a fatal failure, and the development of technology today can facilitate the determination of cementing material requirements, including automatic calculation software, more effective cementing materials and control systems for monitoring in real time.

Abstract

In a well that has been drilled (exploration), a hydrocarbon well testing process needs to be carried out, namely well testing. The purpose of well testing is to determine reservoir parameters and to determine the production capacity of a layer or formation. The "DI" gas well in the "LA" field is located in the Batu Raja Formation layer in South Sumatra which is a new well and was drilled in 2010 and well testing was carried out in 2013. The pressure analysis carried out on the "DI" gas well was a deliverability test with back pressure method or flow after flow test, this test is used to determine the maximum value that can be produced by this well. Calculations carried out in this analysis used Microsoft Excel. The Absolute Open Flow Potential (AOFP) value for the "DI" gas well based on analysis of deliverability test results is 5,290 Mmscfd with an exponent (n) value of 0.93 and the C value obtained from constant flow is 5,361 Mmscfd.

Abstract

Location of the Field X is in Province of West Java, in the North of West Java basin. This field is in Tambun area Asset III of PT Pertamina EP. Naturally, as life of production, the water will come slowly and will become higher. The last record of water production in this field is 95%. Therefore the workover is needed in this case, in order to maximize the hydrocarbon production from other layer or formation in this well. Workover need to open another layer or move from existing layer to potential layer that conatain certain amount of hydrocarbon, this work also named as KUPL (kerja ulang pindah lapisan). To determine the layer that contain of hydrocarbon, in this study was done collection of log data, petrophysic data, and performed both qualitative and quantitave analysis, so that by this method come up with the result from calculation of volume of shale, porosity effective, as well as saturation of water. From calculation of the prospect layer found of Vshale of 0.19, porosity effective is 0.19 and Saturation of Water is 0.65. In addition to the technical calculation, the economic feasibility was done for the BEP (break event point) as well as NPV (net present value) calcultion. Therefore KUPL is feasible to be performed in this well. Keywords: Prospect of Hydrocarbon, Log Analysis, Interest Zone, Petrofisics, Workover Abstrak Lokasi Lapangan X merupakan lapangan yang berada di provinsi Jawa Barat, merupakan basin Jawa Barat bagian Utara yang merupakan wilayah kerja Lapangan Tambun Aset 3 Perusahaan PT Pertamina EP.
