Abstract

ABSTRAK Seiring dengan perkembangan komunikasi dan teknologi informasi, diiringi dengan pesatnya teknologi digital, kesadaran dan kemampuan bermedia. Literasi media dan literasi digital merupakan pendekatan yang memiliki fokus analisis kritis terhadap konten dari pesan media. Paparan berbagai macam informasi dari media membuat kebanyakan orang kebingungan mana informasi yang bermanfaat dan mana yang tidak. Maka dengan adanya fenomena tersebut, pengetahuan literasi media sangat dibutuhkan sebagai modal bagi khalayak untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam memilah dan mengevaluasi isi media dengan tajam dan teliti sehingga mampu memanfaatkan isi media sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Setiap orang harus memiliki tanggung jawab atas penggunaan teknologi untuk berinteraksi atau berkomunikasi dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari. Menangani beraneka informasi, kemampuan dalam menafsirkan pesan dan berkomunikasi secara efektif dengan orang lain merupakan berbagai kemampuan dalam literasi digital. Adanya proses menciptakan, mengolaborasi, mengkomunikasikan berdasarkan etika, memahami kapan dan bagaimana menggunakan teknologi secara efektif merupakan kompetensi digital yang dibutuhkan saat ini. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena penelitian ini mendalami fenomena perkembangan literasi digital sebagai salah satu tantangan baru dalam literasi media. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ialah observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Literasi media melibatkan pemahaman, cara menafsirkan, tingkat analisis kritis dan penyusunan kesimpulan dari teks untuk menjadi subjek penelitian pada berbagai bidang mulai dari komunikasi, sastra, budaya, ekonomi, sejarah, pengetahuan umum dan tentunya kajian media. Dalam literasi digital, pesan di media dikonstruksi sedemikian rupa sehingga mampu berfungsi maksimal dalam situasi komunikasi yang lebih kompleks sekalipun. Literasi digital memiliki skala yang lebih luas dan biasanya membahas isu penting. Pendidikan literasi digital dapat dimulai dari mengasah keterampilan dalam membaca konten, dengan rajin membaca konten, maka penggunaan literasi digital untuk pemahaman konten akan lebih kritis. Komunikasi saat ini mengimplikasikan tidak hanya pada bagaimana sebuah teks dibuat, melainkan melibatkan proses pemilihan, pengaturan, filterisasi dan bagaimana cara merangkai kembali informasi yang sudah diterima. Fenomena teknologi digital semakin menguatkan bagian dasar dari literasi digital yaitu bagaimana mendapatkan informasi dan menghubungkannya dengan konteks yang akan dibuat. Sebagai warga negara yang bertanggung jawab, maka diperlukan pemahaman yang lebih luas tentang akses, analisis, evaluasi kritis dan pembuatan konten yang lebih mengarah pada perkembangan media baru. Abstract

This research aims to develop and design the application of assistive technology to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities, providing them with the skills and tools they need to overcome barriers that previously prevented them from fully participating in society. This research focuses on developing digital applications as a technological support for media lecturers to use in learning for students with disabilities. The research method used in this research is Design Based Research, which consists of three main stages, namely needs assessment, design process, technology used, and making interactive prototypes. Current developments in assistive technology and disability research indicate a growing interest in using assistive technology to promote inclusive practices in the pursuit of knowledge. There is a focus on creating diverse and culturally adaptive learning environments that suit diverse needs and experiences and increasing awareness of society's challenges and prejudices when using assistive technology. Adopting digital apps as assistive technology is not only a huge step toward making educational settings more inclusive and accessible for students with disabilities but also provides a variety of capabilities to meet the different requirements of students, such as configurable displays, interactive and multisensory learning possibilities, and interaction with other assistive technology.

Abstract

Background: The convergence of film, teaching, and inclusive education research on education has received much attention recently because it can potentially improve educational experiences and create social change. Purpose: This intersection of disciplines provides educators an immense tool for engaging children, cultivating empathy, and addressing social and cultural inequities. Using film's emotional connection and narrative force, educators may build more diverse and efficient learning environments that meet the different needs of their students. Methods: This study used existing data from Scopus to analyze the intersection of film, teaching, and inclusive education using bibliometric quantitative publications studies to assess academic influence. It entails analyzing citations, publication trends, and other bibliographic information. Results: The findings underline the importance of utilizing films to encourage inclusive school practices. Films can reduce socioeconomic inequities, raise cultural knowledge, and improve inclusive teaching techniques. This study underlines the relevance of using film in instructional approaches to promote inclusive education practices and increase learning results. Films are exhibited to promote critical thinking about teaching methods, interpersonal relationships, and classroom ethics. Conclusion: Introducing film into teaching techniques can boost student engagement, improve critical thinking abilities, and raise cultural understanding. Subsequently, this bibliometric study provides a helpful overview of the present research environment in films, teaching, and inclusive education, serving as a foundation for academics to investigate and introduce new modern topics from various regional and cultural perspectives. Implications: Future research should examine the confluence of films, teaching, and inclusive education, as well as the ramifications of these encounters for educational settings, and compare them across study areas and locations or other relevant scopes.

Abstract

The goal has been to conduct a global analysis of communication technology for people with disabilities. As a result, the purpose of this research is to categorize issues and concepts connected to the study of technological innovation. 6204 indexed papers from Scopus, issued by major publishers such as Springer, Emerald, Sage, MDPI, Taylor Francis, and ScienceDirect, were collected through descriptive analysis. The findings classified topics in the research of communication technology for people with disabilities into five categories: disability, disabled person, communication, adolescent, and education. Furthermore, it is linked to crucial concerns such as accessibility, quality of life, interpersonal communication, hearing impairment, and learning. This study implies how the conceptual findings of a study on communication technology for people with disabilities may assist in the development of a conceptual framework for future research. The study's limitation is that peer-reviewed publications were only acquired from the Scopus database. As a result, recommendations for future research necessitate the use of a comparative analytic approach, such as Scopus Databases and Web of Science (WoS).

Abstract

Background: Digital transformation, in this sense, means incorporating digital technology into many aspects of higher education, including learning, teaching, administration, and research. Purpose: This research aimed to generate a framework that is more knowledgeable than it was by utilizing digital technologies. In education, digital evolution attempts to establish an effective pleasant learning environment for everyone involved in a Smart Learning Environment. Methods: It employed an explanatory database analysis with multiple linear regression to examine the influencing factors of West Java’s higher education digital transformation. Results: The results indicated that digital transformation promotes more efficient work. However, there are also disadvantages, including reduced versatility, increased levels of student participation, and greater interaction among universities. It assures that the technology is dependable, functional, and satisfies stakeholders’ requirements. As they must adjust to the digital age and incorporate new methods and practices, higher education institutions play a significant role in the transition of the educational field. Conclusion: In education, digital transformation has demonstrated positive impacts, such as faster and more efficient work processes and increased access to information. Digital transformation also presents negative aspects, such as loss of flexibility, increased student involvement, and increased interactivity between universities. Implications: The application of technology information systems in higher education is significant for developing the education system. Transforming information technology systems in higher education is a strategic and enlightening vision for organizations, increasing efficiency, productivity, and accessibility.
