Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' emotional intelligence and learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in the Sakra Barat Subdistrict for the academic year 2023/2024. A quantitative research method was employed with a pretest-posttest control group design experiment. Data collection was conducted through emotional intelligence tests and Fiqh learning outcome tests. Data analysis involved comparing the mean pretest-posttest differences between the control and experimental groups using independent t-tests. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL significantly enhances students' emotional intelligence and learning outcomes compared to conventional methods. The implication of this study underscores the importance of considering appropriate teaching models to improve not only cognitive but also emotional intelligence aspects in Fiqh education. PBL can serve as an effective alternative in achieving these goals at Madrasah Tsanawiyah, providing a deeper understanding of the subject matter and fostering social and emotional skills necessary for daily life and religious practice.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the foster teacher program and its implementation in shaping the character of students, describe the obstacles and solutions of foster teachers in shaping the character of students, and examine the relationship between the foster teacher program and Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are first, the foster teacher program in shaping the character of students at SMP Negeri 5 Batukliang is a program that builds teacher-parent relationships for students at school with routine interactions every day and weekly meetings in groups. Second, the implementation of the foster teacher program in shaping the character of students was manifested in the formation of characters developed at SMP Negeri 5 Batukliang namely honesty, discipline, responsibility, religion, and courtesy. Third, the obstacles encountered in running the foster teacher program are the lack of concern for foster teachers in schools, the lack of quick response to guide and find solutions when problems occur with their foster children, the tight schedule of teaching and teaching in other schools, the lack of consistency in making or filling out weekly activity progress reports of foster participants. The solution is that students who often do not go to school are given an individual approach outside of the schedule for implementing the foster teacher program, building intense communication with student guardians including carrying out home visits, and maximum guidance

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of the Project Based Learning model through the creation of animated videos on the creativity and learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTsN 3 Bima. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach involving two classes: experimental and control. Data collection was conducted using creativity observation sheets and learning outcome tests that had been validated with the Correl validity test and Cronbach's Alpha reliability test. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality prerequisite test, Levene's test for homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The research results showed a significant effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' creativity and learning outcomes, evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 on both variables. The conclusion of the research proves that the Project Based Learning model can enhance the creativity and learning outcomes of eighth-grade students

Abstract

There is a strong belief in society that religion and science are two entities that cannot be reconciled. They are separate from one another and have their domains. Integration is the keyword for discussing the relationship between science and religion. The integration of science and religion can be achieved by taking the philosophical core of fundamental Islamic religious sciences as a paradigm for future science. This integration process can be seen as the Islamisation of science as part of the Islamisation of civilization. One example of this integration can be seen when discussing one branch of science, namely physics, about Islamic studies. In this case, one topic is taken from the First Law of Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics is the science that discusses heat and its changes. Heat and its changes have been explained in the Qur'an, as stated in the words of Allah SWT in Surat Al-A'raf, verse 52. For example, the source of heat energy has been explained in Surat Yaasin, verse 80, and Surat Yunus, verse 5, which state that fire is the source of heat. In its transformations, according to the First Law of Thermodynamics, this heat energy can change into changes in internal energy and work. Changes in internal energy occur due to an increase in the system's temperature after heat energy is added, while work arises due to a change in the system's volume after heat energy is added. As an illustration of the First Law of Thermodynamics, let us imagine a balloon. If the balloon is heated, the air particles inside the balloon will experience an increase in temperature. It is the nature of a particle that when its temperature increases, its energy also increases. This increase in energy is what we call an increase in internal energy. Since the internal energy of the gas particles inside the balloon increases, there will be more energy for the gas particles inside the balloon to move and collide with the walls of the balloon. As a result, the volume of the balloon will increase, and work will be done. If the elasticity of the balloon can no longer withstand the collisions of the gas particles inside it, the balloon will burst.
