Abstract

The digital era requires MSMEs to adapt visual marketing strategies in order to remain competitive. The digital era requires MSMEs to adapt visual marketing strategies in order to remain competitive. MSMEs in South Jakarta face significant challenges in optimizing social media as a promotional platform, particularly in creating engaging and professional visual content. Limited financial resources and low digital literacy are the main barriers to accessing professional graphic design services. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the Canva platform on improving the quality of promotions and competitiveness of SMEs in the Jagakarsa area of South Jakarta, as well as identifying the factors influencing the success of visual marketing transformation. The study uses a qualitative approach with a community service method through three stages: preparation (comprehensive survey and stakeholder coordination), implementation (face-to-face training with a modular format), and evaluation (impact monitoring through structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews). The program involved 48 SMEs focused on the culinary and handicraft sectors. The implementation of Canva demonstrated a significant improvement in the quality of SME promotional materials. There was heterogeneity in adoption levels influenced by learning motivation, resource availability, and integration with existing business processes, resulting in compelling visual outputs and cost savings compared to professional design services. SMEs that successfully integrated visual marketing into their routine operations demonstrated higher sustainability of use. The Canva platform has proven effective as a solution for democratizing graphic design for SMEs, providing affordable access to professional tools and enhancing competitiveness in the digital marketing ecosystem.

Abstract

Digital transformation has transformed the Indonesian corruption eradication landscape, creating a paradox where technology facilitates new modes of corruption while providing innovative solutions for detection and prevention. Research purpose: the challenges of legal protection for whistleblowers in the digital era, particularly the unpreparedness of conventional systems to face cyber threats. The research method uses a normative legal approach with a statutory approach and a case approach, analyzing regulations related to whistleblower protection and empirical cases such as Eko Sulistyo, who experienced a massive digital attack. Data sourced from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials were analyzed descriptively, comparatively, prescriptively, and through gap analysis. The discussion reveals that although the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has developed the JAGA and GOL digital platforms, the Indonesian legal framework still has fundamental weaknesses: the absence of conflict of interest regulations, a weak data security system, the absence of post-protection phase regulations, limited economic protection, and the absence of a unified database. The study concludes that the digital transformation of whistleblower protection requires a holistic approach that integrates technological, legal, and social aspects, including regulatory reformulation to accommodate digital threats, the development of robust cybersecurity infrastructure, and the development of a comprehensive and sustainable protection system.

Abstract

This study addresses two primary research questions: first, what monitoring mechanisms has the government implemented for business actors regarding spatial use in Jakarta? Second, how is law enforcement concerning spatial planning violations in Jakarta oriented toward environmental sustainability? The objective of this research is to analyze both the supervisory mechanisms and the enforcement practices related to spatial planning violations, aiming to balance investment interests with environmental sustainability in Jakarta. The methodology employed includes normative and empirical juridical research, involving an inventory of relevant regulations and an examination of their enforcement in practice. Data collection is conducted through a sociolegal approach, involving interviews with local government officials and employing qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that the government’s monitoring mechanisms for business actors in Jakarta involve both active and passive supervision. Passive supervision includes responding to public complaints and reviewing issued permits, such as Environmental Impact Analyses (Analisis Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan, AMDAL). Additionally, preventive measures are implemented through AMDAL and other environmental permits, alongside ongoing environmental monitoring efforts. Active supervision involves field inspections based on a random sampling system of various business activities. Regarding law enforcement for spatial planning violations oriented towards environmental sustainability, the study finds that administrative sanctions are applied, including written warnings, building seizures, demolitions, and the closure of water channels. These sanctions are administered progressively, and law enforcement also integrates community participation.

Abstract

Legal responsibility for the provision and management of utility cables in public roads has become a critical issue due to the increasing number of hanging cables that endanger road users and cause accidents. This study aims to analyze the legal liability of PT Bali Towerindo Sentra Tbk in the provision of utility cable infrastructure and to examine the forms of legal protection available to victims resulting from such negligence. The research applies an empirical or sociological legal research method using a field-based approach, supported by statutory analysis, observation, and interviews. The findings indicate that corporate liability has not been optimally enforced due to regulatory limitations, as the existing legal framework—namely the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 20/PRT/M/2010 and the DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 106 of 2019—only provides administrative sanctions, thereby creating a legal vacuum in terms of civil and criminal accountability. Furthermore, legal protection for victims remains inadequate, as compensation, restitution, and recovery mechanisms as stipulated under Law Number 13 of 2006 and the principles of the Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code have not been effectively implemented. This study underscores the need for specific and comprehensive regulations, as well as strengthened supervisory institutions, to ensure corporate accountability and fair legal protection for victims.
