Abstract

Eggplant is a horticultural crop that is very important for society. One effort to increase production is by providing soil, manure and NPK fertilizer. This research aims to determine the effect of planting media and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) variety Mustang F1. This research was conducted in Krajan Hamlet, Kebonsari Village, Kademangan District, Blitar Regency, East Java Province in February-April 2023. The research was prepared using (RAK) factorial with two factors, namely the composition of the planting media (M) and the dose of NPK fertilizer (D). Each treatment had 3 repetitions. Observations will be carried out after 10 days after planting, with an observation interval of 20 days, the observation parameters include plant height, stem base diameter, fruit diameter, and fruit weight. The research results showed that the combination treatment between the composition of the planting media and the dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, stem base diameter, fruit diameter and fruit weight.

Abstract

Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo L.) is a member of the Cucurbitaceae group that is of interest to the public because it has high economic value. However, there are obstacles to cultivation, one way to overcome them is by using nano technology fertilizer and planting media. The aim of this research was to find out the interaction between doses of nanote chnology compound fertilizer and planting media on the growth and yield of zucchini plants (Cucurbita pepo L.). The research method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors. First factor: concentration of compound fertilizer with nano technology (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely: P0: control (without application of nano technology fertilizer) P1: concentration of nano fertilizer 5 ml/L P2: concentration of nano fertilizer 10 ml/L P3: concentration of fertilizer nano 15 ml/L Second factor: the composition of the planting medium which consists of 3 levels, namely: M1: Husk charcoal: cocopeat: vermicompost (1:1:1) M2: Husk charcoal: cocopeat: vermicompost (1:1:2) M3: Husk charcoal: cocopeat: vermicompost (1:1:3) Variables observed were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), flowering time (DAT), fruit diameter (cm), fruit weight (grams) and fruit length (cm ). From the research results it can be concluded that there is a real interaction in the treatment of nano fertilizer and planting media. The best combination was seen in the application of 10 ml/L nano fertilizer and husk charcoal planting media: cocopeat : vermicompost (1:1:3) (P2M3), at a plant height of 18.96 cm, stem diameter of 1.169, fruit weight of 630 grams, fruit length 43.50 cm and fruit diameter 75.66 cm.

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) dikenal sebagai salah satu jenis sayuran berdaun. Selain kaya akan vitamin dan gizi, pakcoy juga dapat ditanam dengan penambahan bahan organik untuk mengatasi degradasi tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pemberian berbagai dosis pupuk kandang kambing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil panen pakcoy. Penelitian dilaksanakan antara Maret hingga Mei 2024 di Dusun Sumberagung, Desa Banggle, Kabupaten Blitar, pada ketinggian 170 m dpl dan suhu harian berkisar antara 22°C hingga 29°C. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok non faktorial dengan 6 perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang kambing (K0, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5) dan 4 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah dan luas daun, serta bobot segar tanaman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang kambing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan pakcoy, dengan dosis optimal sebesar 200 g per polibag (K4), yang hasilnya tidak berbeda signifikan dibandingkan dengan dosis antara 100-250 g per polibag (K2, K3, K5).

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of soaking soyabean seeds in shallot extract, a natural ZPT, on viability and seed growth. The research was conducted from August to October 2024 in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Barital Islamic University using a completely randomised design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were seed soaking in water for 1 hour and shallot extract for 2, 3, 4 and 5 hours. Parameters observed included growth vigour, growth rate, growth synchronisation, and vigour index. The results showed that soaking for 3 hours gave the best results on all variables.

Abstract

Tanaman okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi yakni dengan pemberian pupuk organik nano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik nano terhadap hasil buah tanaman okra merah serta konsentrasi pemberian pupuk organik nano yang memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil buah tanaman okra merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Juli sampai 20 Oktober 2023. Lahan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian tersebut bertempat di Desa Ngadirejo RT/RW 03/01, Kecaman Kepanjenkidul, Kota Blitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial yang terdiri dari 1 faktor 5 ulangan. Perlakuan pertama P1 : (konsentrasi 2 ml/L air), P2 : (konsentrasi 4 ml/L air), P3 : (konsentrasi 6 ml/L air), P4 : (konsentrasi 8 ml/L air), P5 : (konsentrasi 10 ml/L air), P6 : (konsentrasi 12 ml/L air), P7 : (konsentrasi 14 ml/L air). Variabel yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), jumlah daun, panjang buah (cm), diameter buah (mm), bobot buah pertanaman (gr), dan jumlah buah pertanaman. Analisis data perlakuan menggunakan Anova One-Way dengan menggunakan analisis ragam (uji F) pada taraf 5% dan ditunjukkan berbeda nyata, maka dilakukan analisis lanjut menggunakan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang nyata pemberian pupuk organik nano pada tanaman okra terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil. Konsentrasi pemberian pupuk organik nano yang memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil buah tanaman okra merah varietas Redok F1 adalah 4 ml/L air dengan kode perlakuan P2 yang memiliki rata-rata tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, panjang buah, diameter buah, bobot buah, serta jumlah buah terbaik dan berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media tanam dan berbagai jenis tanaman terhadap pertumbuhan awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor, faktor pertama adalah Jenis media tanam (A) terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu A1 kandang sapi, A2 kandang kambing, A3 Kandang itik, A4 tanah, A5 humus, Faktor kedua adalah Jenis Tanaman (B) sebanyak 5 taraf yaitu B1 Jagung, B2 kacang Panjang, B3 Kedelai, B4 Mentimun, B5 Bawang merah. Variable yang diamati tinggi tanaman, diameter Batang, Jumlah daun, Panjang daun, Lebar daun dan Panjang daun. Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians (anova) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian dari perlakuan A2B4 kombinasi kandang kambing dengan tanaman mentimun memberikan hasil terbaik pada pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, panjang daun, lebar daun dan panjang akar, sedangkan varibel jumlah daun ditunjukkan pada perlakuan A4B1 yaitu kombinasi perlakuan antara tanah dan tanaman jagung.

Abstract

Objective of the study was to know the effect of application of phosphate fertilizer and cow manure on the growth and yield of sesame. The experiment was conducted from February to May 2017 at field Rembang Village, Kesamben district, Blitar Regency. This research is factorial randomized block design consisting two factor with three replication following the treatments of phosphate fertilizer P1= 100 kg ha-1, P2= 150 kg ha-1, P3= 200 kg ha-1 and cow manure dose O1 = 5 ton ha-1, O2= 7,5 ton ha, S3= 10 ton ha-1 were test. The results showed that there ’s no interaction between dose of phosphate fertilizer treatments and dose of cow manure treatments. The dose 100 kg ha-1 of phosphate fertilizer is the best treatment on growth and yield of sesame. The dose 10 ton ha of cow manure is best treatment on growth and yield of sesame.

Abstract

This research investigated the impact of supplementing water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) silage with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum on its physical properties (pH, odor, texture, color, and fungal growth) as well as palatability. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with three treatments and six replications: P0 (control, no L. plantarum), P1 (L. plantarum at 10⁵ CFU/ml), and P2 (L. plantarum at 10⁶ CFU/ml). The variables measured were pH, color, aroma, texture, fungal presence, and palatability. Findings revealed that L. plantarum supplementation significantly influenced (p < 0.05) the color of the silage, but had no significant effect on pH, aroma, texture, fungal development, or palatability. The mean pH values for P1 and P2 were 4.1 and 4.2, respectively, compared with 4.0 in P0. In terms of palatability, P2 produced the highest intake (201.5 g), followed by P1 (118.6 g), whereas P0 showed minimal consumption. Overall, the results suggest that higher concentrations of L. plantarum improve the visual quality of water hyacinth silage, but provide limited enhancement of other physical attributes and palatability.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the community in organic fertilizer production as a step to support sustainable agricultural practices. The overuse of chemical fertilizers has been shown to damage soil structure and reduce long-term productivity. Therefore, there needs to be a systematic effort to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and increase the use of organic fertilizers (FMIPA UI 2020). Through this program, the community is provided with training and assistance in the production process of organic fertilizer from easily accessible natural materials, such as crop residues, animal manure, and household waste. The methods used include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in the field, so that participants are able to apply the knowledge independently. The results of this program show an increase in the community's understanding and skills in producing organic fertilizer, as well as a commitment to implementing sustainable agriculture on their farms. With the increased use of organic fertilizer, it is expected that soil quality can be improved and agricultural productivity can be maintained sustainably. This activity is a concrete step in supporting environmentally friendly agriculture and improving the economic welfare of the community through reduced fertilizer costs.
