Abstract

Seed is an important component in increasing crop production and productivity. The availability of superior seeds of lowland rice nationally, including Central Sulawesi Province, is still very limited so that it becomes an obstacle in supporting the achievement of rice production. For this reason, an assessment of the seed supply model in the form of farmer groups is expected to be an alternative way to provide superior and quality rice seeds according to the wishes and preferences of farmers and available according to time. The research was carried out in three centers of lowland rice whose farmer groups have not been facilitated by the Department of Agriculture, both district and provincial. This study aims to 1. Determine the problem of fulfilling seeds at the field level and 2. To obtain a model of the seed production system at the level of farmers and farmer groups for the fulfillment of superior and quality seeds appropriately. The implementation of the activity consists of two stages: the first stage is the identification and characterization of seed potential and constraints and the second stage is the assessment of innovation and seed production technology at the level of breeder farmers and farmer groups. The results showed that farmers did not know about new high-yielding varieties including the procedures and requirements for plants to become seeds and difficulties in obtaining information related to seeds, so farmers planted existing varieties or expected for seed assistance. Yields and seed production at the three activity locations showed quite high yields, reaching 4.2 – 5.1 tons of seed/ha where in one ha production for seeds can supply seeds covering an area of 100 – 120 ha and can increase profits 2 to 3 times compared to grain production. In addition, the farmer group scale captive system can see the appearance of the plants that will be used as seeds

Abstract

Cassava serves as a local food that contributes to food variety, enhancing food security and family nutrition. This is feasible due to Indonesia's extensive biodiversity, which facilitates the availability of varied and high-quality food. Each location has cassava with distinct properties. This research aimed to identify the presence of native cassava and their specific properties in Central Sulawesi. The used methodology included a survey and observation of plant agronomic and morphological characteristics, according to the General Guide for the Preparation of Food Crop Variety Descriptions established by the Centre for Plant Protection and Agricultural Licensing of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. The investigation discovered three indigenous cassava accessions in Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi: Kahubi Bula, Kahubi Palolo 1, and Kahubi Palolo 2. The three accessions possess distinct morphological, agronomic, and nutritional properties. Kahubi Bula has a greater stem diameter, whereas Kahubi Palolo 2 exhibits the lowest tuber size. The cyanide levels in the three accessions exhibited the traits of cassava, characterized by a sweet flavour owing to their low concentrations: 0.07 for Kahubi Bula, 0.01 for Kahubi Palolo 1, and 0.08 for Kahubi Palolo 2.

Abstract

The study aims to acknowledge the legal concepts and prevention of international money-laundering crimes. This research is crucial because there is an increase in money-laundering cases involving international networks, with Indonesia often being the primary location. Money laundering not only threatens economic stability and national security, but also undermines the integrity of the global financial system. Although international standards and regulations have been implemented, the level of compliance between countries is still variable and often has not reached the desired level. This research is a normative law investigation. The results of the research show that the implementation of international standards still requires enhanced international cooperation and tighter monitoring mechanisms. The study also emphasizes the importance of enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and financial institutions in detecting and preventing money-laundering practices through the use of new technologies and training. The proposed solutions include the implementation of tighter sanctions against countries that do not comply with international standards. The conclusion of this study is that the internationalization of anti-money-laundering strategies is an important dynamic aspect in counteracting cross-border money-launching practices. The novelty of this study lies in the in-depth analysis of the level of formal and substantive compliance of countries with international standards, as well as concrete recommendations for improving the effectiveness of international cooperation in the prevention of money laundering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep hukum dan pencegahan tindak pidana pencucian uang lintas internasional.
