Abstract

These last few years, scales pest infestation on the apple crop in Batu city is a problem that has yet to be controlled. Scales infestations are always there at the apple crop but different population levels at each stage of the apple crop growth. Patterns of population abundance of scales that are synchronized with the apple crop growth stages need to be understood and the basis for the control of scales infestation. The study was conducted in July 2012 until January 2013 in Bumiaji, Batu City. The study was conducted at two locations that have a different altitude, each in Binangun village the altitude of ± 900 meters above sea level and in the Tulungrejo village that have altitude ± 1.515 meters above sea level. Results from this study are the pattern of population abundance of scales are linear with the average level of high population caused not found parasitoid as a result of excessive use of insecticides and biodiversity is low. The pattern of population abundance of scales began to rise sharply in the phase of thinning and covering of apple fruit. If required the application of insecticide should be addressed at the time of first instar scales and adult males, but it must be carried out carefully so as not to kill non-target insects.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the environmental factors that affect the abundance of scales populations on the apple crop. The study was conducted in July 2012 to January 2013. The study was conducted at two sites with different altitude. Bumiaji village's altitude is ±900 m and Tulungrejo village's altitude is ±1,515 m asl. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to determine the environmental factors that affect the abundance of scales populations on the apple crop. Based on the results of the regression analysis, air temperature and humidity affect the abundance of scales populations in Binangun while rainfall and long solar radiation have no effect. Scales population abundance of the apple crop in Binangun was influenced by air temperature and humidity one week before. Based on the results of the regression analysis, air temperature, air humidity and rainfall affect the abun dance of scales population in Tulungrejo while long solar radiation has no effect. Scales population abundance ofthe apple crop in Tulungrejo was affected by air temperature two weeks before, while humidity and rainfall were affected one week before. The higher air temperature scales, flea population level will increase. And the higherrelative humidity, scales population levels will increase.

Abstract

The area of ​​agricultural land in Indonesia is dominated by rainfed rice fields whose limiting factors are limited water, low land productivity, and low levels of technology adoption. This research was carried out from April 2019 to August 2019. On rainfed land in Karawana Village, Dolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. The technology used is shallow good irrigation pumping. This study aims to develop maize cultivation to increase the production and productivity of strategic commodities with shallow good pumping technology. The results showed that: (a) One technology package through the development of a shallow well irrigation system with pumping which refers to the availability of water and plant needs optimally by using water gun technology. (b) The establishment of an innovative design for rainfed dry land food crops with the production component of tile products with 9.4 tons Lamuru, 6.8 tons/ha, Sukmaraga 6.2 tons/ha, 5.0 tons without weights /ha, R/C: Ratio: 2.16

Abstract

Determination of cropping patterns in rainfed paddy fields is very necessary so that crop failure can be avoided and to maximize profits for farmers. The study aimed to obtain cropping patterns in rainfed lowland areas that can produce high yields and increase farmer incomes. The research was carried out in Tonusu Village, Pamona Puselemba District, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The research was conducted from January 2018 to December 2018, the research consisted of cropping patterns and variety rotation during two growing seasons, namely the rainy season (MH) and the dry season (MK). Planting pattern of paddy farmers - bero (IP.100) and rice cropping pattern - paddy (IP.200. Introduction pattern). The results showed that: Farming analysis of IP 100 and IP 200 Tonusu Village, Pamona Puselemba District, Poso Regency scale per hectare At MT. I and MT. II can provide a profit of Rp. 15,130,000, - with an R/C: Ratio of 3.01 to farmers (IP 200) per MT. The value of farming on the farmer's pattern (IP 100) provides a profit of IDR 10,170,000 with an R/C: Ratio of 1.77.
