Abstract

Program Keterlibatan Masyarakat (CEP) telah muncul sebagai platform penting bagi siswa untuk menerapkan pengetahuan teoritis yang diperoleh dalam pengaturan akademik ke konteks dunia nyata, khususnya dalam membantu masyarakat. Melalui CEP, siswa memperdalam pemahaman mereka dan mempertajam keterampilan interdisipliner mereka, menumbuhkan apresiasi untuk keterkaitan dan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Selain itu, partisipasi dalam program ini menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri dan rasa tanggung jawab di antara siswa, memaksa mereka untuk secara aktif terlibat dengan masyarakat setempat. Selain itu, CEP meningkatkan ketahanan mental siswa, mempersiapkan mereka untuk menavigasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pengaturan masyarakat. Siswa juga memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang kegunaan praktis dari disiplin akademis mereka dalam pengembangan masyarakat, menumbuhkan rasa tujuan dan relevansi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving coffee skin flour fermented with tempeh yeast in rations on cutting weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, digesta rate and digesta pH of small intestine of broiler chickens aged 21 and 35 hari. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments (P0 = control ; P1= 5% ; P2= 10% ; P3=15% and P4= 20%) and each treatment had 4 replications. The results showed that the fermented coffee skin flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the cutting weight and carcass percentage, had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on carcass weight, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on digesta rate and digesta pH of small intestine. The best level giving of coffee skin flour fermented is the level of 15%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of BSF maggot flour on slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage of quail (Cortunix-cortunix japonica) aged 8 weeks. This research was conducted in Simalingkar A, Medan Tuntungan District. This study used 80 quails which were taken as many as 4 randomly from each treatment plot. At 8 weeks of age. The rations used were a mixture of several of feed prepared. The method used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 5 treatments, namely P0 = 0% ; P1 = 5% ; P2 = 10% ; P3 = 15% dan P4 = 20% and each had 4 replications, each replication consisted of 10 quails. Parameters measured were slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage. The data obtained from the results of this study were analyzed by ANOVA. The conclusion obtained from the results of this study showed that the provision of BSF maggot flour in the ration had no significant effect (P>0.05) on slaughter weight, carcass weight. and carcass percentage of quail aged 8 weeks.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fermented kepok banana peel flour (Musa sp) with tempe yeast in the ration on slaughter weight, carcass weight and carcass percentage of local male ducks aged 11 weeks. This research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, HKBP Nommensen University in Simalingkar A Village, Medan Tuntungan District for 11 weeks. This study used 100 male local ducks. The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely P0 (0% fermented kepok banana peel flour), P1 (5% fermented kepok banana peel flour), P2 (10% fermented kepok banana peel flour) and P3 (15% fermented kepok banana peel flour). The data obtained in this study were analyzed for variance (ANOVA) and then continued with the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test. The conclusion obtained from the results of the study showed that the provision of fermented kepok banana peel flour in the ration of male local ducks aged 11 weeks had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on slaughter weight and carcass weight, while the percentage of male local duck carcasses showed no significant difference. (P>0.05). Fermented kepok banana peel flour can be used a maximum of 10% in the ration of male local ducks.

Abstract

Ayam mirah adalah ayam lokal asli dari Kabupaten Simalungun yang dikembangkan sebagai bahan makanan tradisional etnik Simalungun. Pemanfaatan teknologi Inseminasi buatan diharapkan mampu mengembangkan populasi Ayam mirah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pengaruh pengenceran semen ayam Mirah dengan level NaCl yang berbeda terhadap performa penetasan telur. Ayam yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari kabupaten Simalungun dan dipelihara secara intensive sebanyak 30 ekor betina dan 7 ekor jantan berumur 8 bulan. Desain yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, di mana setiap ulangan terdiri dari 7 butir telur. Perlakuan P0 adalah dosis pengenceran semen dengan NaCl sebesar 1:1 kemudian P1 dan P2 masing masing 1:5 dan 1:10. Betina ayam mirah di inseminasi dengan 0.1 cc semen kemudian telur yang dihasilkan dikoleksi 3 hari setelah IB pertama. Telur tetas yang memenuhi syarat di tetaskan dengan mesin tetas kemudian diinkubasi selama 21 hari. Parameter yang diukur adalah Fertilitas umur 7 hari, Daya Hidup Embrio umur 18 hari kemudian daya tetas. Hasil penetasan menunjukkan pengenceran semen dengan dosis NaCl yang berbeda berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap Daya Hidup Embrio dan Daya Tetas, sedangkan fertilitas P2 (80,9%) lebih rendah (P<0.05) dari P0 (95,2%) dan P1 (90,4%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengenceran semen ayam Mirah hingga pada dosis 1:5 tidak menurunkan kualitas penetasan telur.   Kata kunci: Fertilitas, Pengenceran, NaCl, ayam kampung
