Abstract

In retail, a major challenge is quickly selling perishable food items like cakes or pastries within a limited time. If unsold, these products lead to losses, even with discount promotions. Retailers must forecast stock accurately and develop more effective strategies to meet consumer demand within the required timeframe. One suggested strategy is bundling, where high-demand products are combined with less popular ones. However, when done manually, this approach often fails to align with consumer preferences. This study aims to develop an automated bundling system using data mining techniques. Market Basket Analysis is used to understand consumer purchasing patterns, while Association Rules with the Apriori Algorithm help identify relationships between different products. These methods reveal which items are frequently bought together, making bundling strategies more effective. The system will be designed with usability and ergonomic principles, ensuring it is user-friendly. The implications of this system include improved stock management, more accurate bundling, and better alignment with customer preferences, ultimately increasing satisfaction. Additionally, automation reduces errors and inconsistencies that occur with manual bundling. The expected outcome is a more efficient, effective, and comfortable system for food retailers, leading to higher sales, reduced losses, and greater overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract

In industrial companies, both large and small-scale, performance is the main indicator of organizational success. Optimal performance can be achieved if the organization implements a healthy and effective organizational culture. On the contrary, an improper organizational culture can lead to conflicts between employees and stakeholders. Conflicts often arise that can cause work discomfort. The impact is to reduce work morale, negatively impacting performance and leading to a decline. Therefore, organizations need to build a culture that considers the human factor. One approach that can be applied is the concept of ergonomics, which integrates physical, cognitive, and organizational aspects to create a comfortable work environment so that employees can work healthily and effectively. This study aims to analyze the role of ergonomics on organizational culture and its implications in improving worker performance in the SME environment. This study uses a quantitative approach, supported by field observations and structured interviews with workers and managers of SMEs. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the study show that ergonomic aspects that have a significant effect on the formation of organizational culture with a loading factor value greater than 0.7 include physical ergonomics through workload variables (with work duration indicators), work environment variables (with temperature, humidity, lighting, and noise indicators), and equipment and equipment variables (with indicators of tool and machine design conditions, cognitive ergonomics (with indicators of perception, logical reasoning, and working relationships); and organizational ergonomics through work system design variables (with communication indicators and task variations) and work organization variables (with organizational structure indicators). These findings confirm that improving ergonomics not only creates a healthier and more efficient work environment but also strengthens organizational cultural values, which ultimately positively impacts the overall performance of SMEs

Abstract

This study aims to design a sustainable raw material procurement system for SMEs producing fish based food products, particularly otak-otak processors in Tanjungpinang, in response to declining fish supply and production instability that threaten business continuity. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied through benchmarking and SEM-PLS analysis to identify the most influential economic, social, and environmental factors in shaping the system design, referring to LKPP Regulation No. 157 of 2024. Data were obtained from 40 SMEs using questionnaires, interviews, and field observations. The results show that economic elements such as life cycle costing and production planning remain weak and therefore need to become priority components in the system design. In contrast, social and environmental dimensions perform well, particularly in community involvement, waste management, and eco friendly packaging, making them a strong foundation for developing the system. The analysis also highlights green suppliers and alternative sourcing as critical gaps that require strengthening through supplier evaluation mechanisms, long-term partnerships, and supply diversification. Based on these results, the study formulates a sustainable procurement system that aligns supplier selection, raw material planning, and environmental social compliance into one integrated framework. The design emphasizes clear procurement standards, measurable supplier performance indicators, and structured collaboration within the supply chain to secure raw material availability while minimizing environmental and social risks. This system provides a practical roadmap for SMEs to shift from reactive purchasing to strategic and sustainability-driven procurement, strengthening operational resilience and long term business viability.

Abstract

The rapid acceleration of modern industry driven by automation and AI requires a systematic approach to aligning workers, technology, and organizations, a role addressed by macro ergonomics. This study maps the intellectual structure and evolution of macro ergonomics in modern industrial contexts through a hybrid systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis of 233 Scopus-indexed documents. Using R-based bibliometric methods, key trends, collaboration networks, and thematic clusters were identified. The findings show that macro ergonomics has evolved into a critical sociotechnical framework for Industry 4.0/5.0, supporting organizational resilience, safe human–AI integration, and the reduction of systemic risks in automated environments. Three dominant research themes emerge: digital integration, organizational optimization, and human-centered design, alongside notable gaps in global collaboration and SME applications. Overall, this study consolidates the scientific landscape of macro ergonomics and provides guidance for future research and practical implementation of holistic, adaptive, and human-centric work systems.
