Abstract

Decreased cognitive abilities and physical and motor activities are often experienced by the elderly. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of a multidimensional intervention program, which includes healthy lifestyle patterns, cognitive ergonomics training, and mental health education in improving older adults' physical and mental well-being at Nursing Home X. The research method used was a survey involving older adults as respondents. The research results showed a significant positive impact on the well-being of the elderly, namely an 80% increase in sleep quality, a reduction in stress and depression levels by 30% and 20%, respectively, an increase in cognitive abilities by 65%, and an increase in social relationships by 70%. Overall, these programs effectively improve seniors' physical and mental well-being at Nursing Home X, providing a solid foundation for improving healthcare services for seniors in the future.ABSTRAKPenurunan kemampuan kognitif, fisik dan aktivitas motorik seringkali dialami oleh lansia.

Abstract

Background: Mental health, particularly burnout syndrome, is one of the concerns that can influence the productivity of health workers during the pandemic. This is because health professionals are under intense pressure, but there is no guideline or procedure in place to safeguard them in terms of mental health. The objective of this study is to discover burnout and human error, as well as to provide advice, by analyzing the ergonomic factors. Method: Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique was the identifying approach employed (HEART) in this study. The sample consisted of ten emergency room personnel from one of the hospitals in Yogyakarta. Results: The activity with the greatest HEP was the delivery of first aids, which had a value of 0.068. This activity requires more difficult and complex labor abilities, making human unreliability more significant and increasing the likelihood of human error. Conclusion: Recommendations are made to assist nurses in dealing with heavy and varied workloads so that the reliability of nurses at work can be increased and burnout can be reduced, including the suppression of environmental factors to be as small as possible to reduce the workload of nurses, urging nurses to begin monitoring the situation and taking anticipatory steps so that the burnout does not worsen, and holding regular sharing sessions among nurses, upgrading knowledge and fostering a sense of togetherness.

Abstract

The study commenced by quantitatively measuring the mental workload of Higher Education Operators (PDPT) through the NASA Task Load Index (NASA TLX). Results indicated an even distribution of mental workload between moderate and heavy levels, each comprising 50%. NASA TLX, a standard tool for assessing mental workload, offered insights into the operators' stress levels during task execution. Subsequently, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to scrutinize factors impacting mental workload. Independent variables, encompassing completeness of data (CD), Feeder Dikti's time demands (FDTD), Internet network conditions (INC), task complexity (TC), and working period (WP), were tested against the dependent variable, the level of mental workload (LMW). This research provides a holistic understanding of factors contributing to PDPT operators' mental workload and how these factors influence the previously measured workload distribution with NASA TLX. This comprehensive insight adds context to the findings, forming a robust foundation for crafting more targeted management strategies to mitigate and manage mental workload in PDPT environments. Keywords: Mental Workload, NASA TLX, Work Period, PDPT Operator
