Treffinger learning model is suitable to be applied because it is based on the development of the times. The research method used is quantitative research and pre-experimental design. The population in this study were 115 and the sample used is 26 students in class V of elementary school. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. Hypothesis test using t test. Based on the results of this study, there is a significant effect from the application of the Treffinger learning model on the higher order thinking skills grade students at SD Negeri 1 Triharjo, which is indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (p = 0.05). The Treffinger learning model makes students more active in the learning process and causes changes in behavior in accordance with learning objectives. The Treffinger learning model is expected to be an alternative that educators can use in increasing student HOTS.

Abstract

The use of appropriate media, especially in history learning, is very important to improve student learning outcomes. The results of interviews with teachers showed that the limitations of learning media cause students to tend to be passive and have poor understanding of the material. Therefore, the E-Module is designed to provide opportunities for students to learn independently with interesting and easy-to- understand material. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach which contains analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the E-Module for history learning. After conducting the research, it can be concluded that the E-Module developed has a very high level of validity, with validation results from material experts of 95%, language experts of 92%, and media experts of 97%. This module has also proven effective with student response percentage results of 96% and teacher responses of 97%. This History Learning E-Module achieved learning outcomes of 88%. This E-Module is expected to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes of history, as well as facilitate more interactive and independent learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to train teachers in implementing the reward and punishment strategy to enhance student learning motivation in a school environment. The strategy is rooted in behaviorist theory, which asserts that positive reinforcement (reward) and corrective measures (punishment) can effectively shape student behavior. A qualitative participatory approach was used, involving stakeholders actively in planning, execution, and evaluation. The training was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung, targeting 57 teachers with diverse subject backgrounds. The program focused on both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of reward and punishment in classrooms, emphasizing positive and non-violent disciplinary methods. Evaluation through pre- and post-training questionnaires showed a 14% increase in teachers’ understanding of the strategy, accompanied by more positive attitudes toward its classroom use. The results indicate that training enhanced teachers’ competencies in motivational classroom management, which could contribute to improving the quality of learning. This service underscores the importance of ongoing teacher development for fostering effective learning environments.
