Abstract

Learning Media for Automotive Vehicle Engine Maintenance still uses a simple medium consisting of whiteboards and worksheets, which encourages less effective learning to develop more interactive media and supports students to more easily understand the basic concepts of Automotive Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance lessons. This development research aims to develop interactive learning media that is packaged interactively in the subject of Automotive Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance. This research method is R&D with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The procedure of this research was carried out in the stages of defining, designing and developing. The subjects of this study were 28 students from SMK N 1 Padang in class XI OTO A. The data collected in this study consisted of primary data obtained directly from respondents in the format obtained. This research instrument consisted of a questionnaire of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The research data collected was analyzed using t test analysis. The results obtained from this research and development are as follows: (1) the validity of interactive learning media is stated to be very valid from didactic, construction and technical requirements with an average score of 94.16%. (2) The practicality of interactive learning media is stated to be very practical based on teacher responses with an average score of 95%, based on student responses also expressed very practical with an average score of 91.17%. (3) The effectiveness of interactive learning media can be seen from student learning outcomes before and after using the media. This is evidenced by the significant differences in the use of interactive learning media obtained from student learning outcomes. Improved student learning outcomes are changed by the students' completeness value of KKM with an average value of 86.61, which means students are complete in learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah memberikan dampak signifikan di berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan. Integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan, seperti penggunaan media digital dan platform pembelajaran daring, telah meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak penggunaan Padlet sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis mahasiswa. Padlet, sebagai platform dinding virtual berbasis web, memberikan kemudahan dalam berbagi materi, diskusi, dan kolaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Padlet secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa, dengan rata-rata kelas meningkat dari 62,90 menjadi 81,35. Mahasiswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan Padlet, yang memungkinkan mereka untuk belajar secara interaktif dan menarik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Padlet adalah alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dan memotivasi mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Implementasi Padlet diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mendukung pengembangan pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

SMK Teknologi Riau adalah sekolah teknik kejuruan yang ada di Pekanbaru yang memiliki tiga jurusan salah satunya adalah Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif , kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium/bengkel mobil yang dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dapat dikatakan efektif dan efisien apabila semua siswa mengalami proses kegiatan praktik atau terlibat langsung dan aktif dalam kegiatan praktik Jurusan yang berfokus pada kendaraan ringan meliputi mobil atau kendaraan ringan yang menggunakan penggerak berupa gasoline engine, diesel engine dan electric vehicle. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meberikan ilmu tentang fungsi dalam mengelola laboratorium mobilnya baik ditinjau dari segi perencanaan pengelolaan penggerakkan ataupun pengawasannya. Laboratorium yang baik adalah suatu ruangan untuk kegiatan praktik atau penelitian yang ditunjang oleh peralatan dan infrastruktur laboratorium yang lengkap. Semua kegiatan di laboratorium memerlukan administrasi yang teratur dan terorganisir, sehingga laboratorium adalah kombinasi antara lembaga dan sekolah sehingga pendidikan mempunyai fasilitas laboratorium sama dengan yang terdapat dalam industri atau pabrik. Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BNSP) juga diartikan sebagai sebuah instrumen verifikasi yang dipakai sebagai standar sarana dan prasarana peralatan dan kondisi ruangan laboratorium. . Dengan demikian pengetahuan yang diperoleh akan lebih bertahan lama pada dirinya. Disamping itu peserta didik dapat menguasai prosedur sebagaimana yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

The socialization and implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) aspects in the Ototronics Practicum Course at the Department of Vocational Education in Automotive Technology, Universitas Lancang Kuning, represent a tangible form of community service contribution aimed at improving human resource quality, particularly among students. The application of OSH principles in practicum activities significantly influences students’ learning outcomes. This study employed a descriptive-correlational approach to examine the relationship between OSH implementation and practicum results. Analysis showed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.753, exceeding the r-table value of 0.266, and a t-value of 5.231, surpassing the t-table value of 1.673. These findings indicate a significant positive relationship at the 5% level. Thus, understanding and applying OSH principles support a more effective learning process and contribute meaningfully to improving students’ practicum performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get an overview: 1). How is the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum policy at vocational high school Pekanbaru city, 2) What are the obstacles to implementing the Merdeka Curriculum policy at vocational high school Pekanbaru city, and 3) What efforts have been taken to overcome various existing problems. Data collection techniques using active participation observation techniques, interviews and document studies. This study found that: 1) Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum policy at vocational high school Pekanbaru city by implementing an education system in the realm of input, process and output; 2) Obstacles to the implementation of independent learning from vocational high school Pekanbaru city include (1) Fulfillment of industrial competence requires a programmed increase in teacher competency; (2) Changes in dynamic industry competency standards require sustainable curriculum development and fulfillment of adequate infrastructure; (3) Difficulties in facilitating learning effectively according to industrial culture; 3) Efforts to overcome existing obstacles from the implementation of independent learning are: a) Creating a cooperation agreement program between vocational high schools and Industry; (b) Develop learning methods that are able to create a working atmosphere like in a company; (c) Curriculum synchronization with partner industries for curriculum development; (d) Improving teacher competency in the context of meeting industry expectations.

Abstract

In this research, the 4D model development stages (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) were used which include needs analysis, design, development, and dissemination. The validation results of media experts and material experts show that this E-Module is very suitable with a validity percentage of 75.78% by experimental group experts and 64.67% by control group experts. These results indicate that the E-Module developed through the 4D model is suitable for use in the learning process. The development of E-Modules in vocational schools can be an effective solution to overcome the challenges of students' understanding and skills in DPIB subjects. By using a 4D model in its development, high validation results from media and material experts show that this E-Module has very good quality. It is hoped that the use of this E-Module can improve students' understanding and skills in basic areas that are important for preparation for the world of work. Furthermore, this research also provides recommendations for E-Modules in the broader context of learning, teacher training and other material development.

Abstract

This study explores the role of transformational leadership in supporting automotive companies’ adaptation to digital technology changes. The automotive industry faces rapid transformation through automation, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and smart robotics-based production systems. Findings indicate that transformational leaders who are visionary, communicative, and supportive of learning accelerate technology adoption, minimize employee resistance, and foster an innovative culture. Major challenges include psychological resistance, limited digital literacy, technical obstacles, and misalignment of organizational culture. Effective adaptation strategies include intensive training, technical mentoring, cross-divisional collaboration, and operational policy adjustments. Transformational leadership is crucial in aligning digital vision, enhancing human resource competencies, and creating an adaptive work environment, enabling optimal acceptance of digitalization across all organizational levels. These findings highlight that successful digital transformation depends not only on technology but also on leadership quality and organizational culture.
