Abstract

This service aims to provide assistance and guidance for high school teachers in East Aceh Regency to prepare questions based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). This community service activity aims to (1) assist teachers in increasing understanding of the evaluation of learning outcomes, (2) increase teachers' understanding of HOTS questions, and (3) improve teachers' pedagogical abilities in making HOTS questions, so that later HOTS questions are obtained in accordance with 2013 curriculum standards revision. This community service activity was carried out in the form of short training for four face-to-face meetings by complying with Health protocols and three online discussions through the Whatsapp group application. This activity was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Peureulak, East Aceh Regency, which was attended by high school Indonesian language studies teachers in East Aceh Regency. The methods applied in the implementation of this activity are tutorial, discussion, simulation and demonstration methods. The result of the service from this activity is an increase in the teacher's understanding of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions and the teacher's ability to make HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions.

Abstract

The research problem is how the implementation of the class-based assessment on Indonesian study subjects at MTs. MUQ Kota Langsa. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the class based assessment on Indonesian study subject at MTs. MUQ Kota Langsa. This research is qualitive descriptive research, while the collection techniqoes are 1. Observation 2. Interview 3. Recording 4. Documentation. From the observation that researcher do, in the learning plan, the teachers, make a RPP. After a well structured learning plan, the teachers are teaching and learning activities according the plan. The next step, the teachers implementation of implemeting assessment phase which conducted on the overall value for one semester, and as well as on every aspects of product assessment and performance assessment. Product assessment can provide an apportunity to the students to competence by him self than the others. So as to obtain a real understanding than he doing by him self. During implementation of performance assessment on indonesian study subject, the learning out comes could be success, because basicly on the implementation of performance assessment many alternative forms of matter which could be used by the teachers in accordance with the matter. Conclusions from the implementation of PBK on the product assessment and performance assessment has met the minimum completeness criteria. Because in implementation of PBK, we could see that the students activity againt the assignment of teachers very good from the learning performance till doing the task which has given by teachers.the research suggest should the head master coordinate with the langsa city government in order to give more attention and greater support to the Indonesian subject teacher to successing of the implementation of class based assessment with disseminating the results of the workshop and seminar about the implementation of class based assessment especially for Indonesian subject and provide guldance for the teacher about implementation of the class based assessment.

Abstract

This study analysed the development of paragraph, particularly coherence within the opinion column at newspaper of Waspada. It was done to investigate the coherence among sentences in a paragraph at column of that newspaper. The research employed the qualitative approach by means of descriptive research. The data resource was paragraphs in the column of Opinion at the newspaper of Waspada. The data were collected by direct observation toward the newspaper. Qualitative data analysis: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, was done to analyse the data. It was found that errors in using sentence connectors were frequently made by the author of Opinion column of Waspada. It was suggested that the author make double-check before publishing the article to ensure that the readers can understand and comprehend the idea given in their articles.

Abstract

The film Pabrik Gula presents a mystical narrative that represents social control in Javanese society through the symbolism of sacred spaces, customary prohibitions and myths. The factory is not just a workplace, but a sacred space guarded by unwritten norms, such as the prohibition of going out at night, which is considered a time of domination by spirits. Violations of this norm, experienced by Endah, Naning and Hendra, trigger mystical terror as a spiritual sanction. The terror serves as a visual medium that confirms that myth is not just a story, but a means of internalising social values. This research uses a qualitative approach with text analysis and hermeneutic methods, within the framework of literary anthropology and Malinowski's functionalism. The analysis was conducted by interpreting the symbolism, prohibitions, and mystical consequences in the context of East Javanese culture. The results of the study show that the myth in the film functions as a social control tool that remains relevant in modern society.

Abstract

Ethics is the main pillar in shaping a just and dignified social order. In Islam, ethics or morals come from the Qur'an and Sunnah which include communication principles such as qaulan sadida, qaulan ma'rufa, and qaulan layyina. Communication in Islam is not only informative, but also transformative, reflecting the value of faith, and forming collective consciousness. This study aims to reveal the representation of Islamic communication ethics in Acehnese oral literature as a medium of da'wah and character education. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis method, this research examines Acehnese literary texts. The results show that Acehnese oral literature conveys religious and moral messages through narratives that are contextual, rhetorical, and touch the spirituality of the listeners. Ethical values are conveyed subtly through local cultural symbols that are effective in internalizing da'wah messages. Oral literature is proven to be a grounded and relevant Islamic communication vehicle to shape the character and ethical awareness of society amid the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran Hikayat Prang Sabi dalam menyampaikan dan membentuk kesadaran masyarakat Aceh terhadap nilai-nilai Syariat Islam. Teks ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai karya sastra religius, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen komunikasi publik yang menyampaikan pesan keagamaan dan nilai perjuangan melalui bahasa simbolik. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana teks sastra berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi publik yang menyampaikan dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Syariat Islam ke dalam kesadaran kolektif masyarakat Aceh, melalui pendekatan komunikasi hukum dan sosiologi sastra. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, khususnya analisis sosiologi sastra dan komunikasi hukum, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa Hikayat Prang Sabi mampu membentuk persepsi masyarakat terhadap jihad, solidaritas, dan hukum Islam secara kultural. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pemanfaatan media sastra sebagai ruang komunikasi hukum yang efektif dalam masyarakat tradisional
