Abstract

Analgesics are compounds that in therapeutic doses relieve or suppress pain, without having general anesthetic action. Traditionally, the herb bamboo grass (Lophatherum gracile Brongn.) has been used and proven empirically to reduce pain, so it may have an analgesic effect. This can be caused by the content of secondary metabolite compounds, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, steroids/triterpenoids, saponins and glycosides, but this has not been scientifically proven. This research aims to determine the secondary metabolite compounds contained in fresh bamboo grass herbs, simplicia and dekokta and the effectiveness as an analgesic of the bamboo grass herb dekokta in mice. This research was carried out experimentally, including making simplicia and decoction, phytochemical screening and analgesic effectiveness testing. bamboo grass herb dekokta in male mice induced with 0.5% acetic acid intraperitoneally under the stomach, orally administered bamboo grass herb dekokta at a dose of 100 mg/kgBW, 200 mg/kgBW, 300 mg/kgBW, CMC 0.5% (blank), methampirone 65 mg/kgBB. Count the number of animal movements every 5 minutes for 1 hour. From the number of writhes obtained, the percentage of analgesic power and analgesic effectiveness were calculated. Next, the data obtained was analyzed statistically using SPSS ver.20 One Way ANOVA followed by the Tukey test. The results of the phytochemical screening of fresh bamboo grass, simplicia and dekokta contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids and glycosides. The greater the dose of bamboo grass herb dekokta given, the greater the percentage of reduction in writhing, so that the analgesic power and analgesic effectiveness are greater. . The results of the One Way ANOVA test and the Tukey test showed that the dose of 300 mg/kgBB had the best analgesic power at 50 minutes, not significantly different from administering 65 mg/kgBB of methampirone.

Abstract

Turmeric and tamarind herbal medicineis a medicinal herb in liquid form that is made from turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.), and tamarind fruit (Tamarindus indica L.) produced by the home industry. Jamu Gendong does not require a license to distribute, but the quality of herbal medicine must be so that it is safe for consumption. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of microbial contamination in the form of bacteria and molds/hamirs in the preparation of Jamu Gendong Kunyit Asam circulated in Harjosari I Village, Medan Amplas Subdistrict. The samples were taken from four locations: Jalan Garu II, Garu III, Garu IV, and Garu VI. The total plate count (PCA) test was carried out by dilution of stratified samples using Lactose Broth (LB) media, for bacterial tests 10 -1 to 10-5 dilutions, and for fungal tests 10-1 to 10-3 dilutions. The diluted samples were placed in medium and incubated at 45o±1o in an incubator. The bacterial total plate count was performed using Plate Count Agar (PCA) as the medium. It was incubated at 35-37oC for 24 h, and the mold/fungal test used Potato Dekstro Agar (PDA) as media and incubated at 20-25oC for 48 h. For comparison, we used packaging for herbal medicines purchased from supermarkets. Furthermore, the number of bacteria and fungi in the colon was observed and counted. The results showed fungal contamination in the home industry at Jamu Kunyit Asam. It was a sample collected from Garu II, a sample of 86×103. The samples had many colonists that exceeded the regularity set up in BPOM RI No. 32 of 2019 and SNI 19-2879-1992.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced consumer behavior, especially among Generation Z, who are known as digital natives. One of the latest innovations in the e-commerce landscape is live shopping—an online shopping method that integrates interactive elements through live streaming. This phenomenon has emerged as a rapidly growing interactive marketing strategy, particularly effective in engaging Generation Z, who are highly responsive to visual content and digital interaction. This study aims to analyze the role of live shopping in enhancing consumer trust among Generation Z using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The case study focuses on the Shopee Live platform, examining the behavior of Generation Z consumers in Jakarta. Data was collected through a quantitative survey of 250 Generation Z respondents in Indonesia. The findings indicate that live shopping contributes to building trust through three key aspects: two-way communication between the host and viewers, real-time product transparency, and an authentic shopping experience that is difficult to replicate through conventional methods. Additionally, the credibility of the host and the interactive atmosphere during live sessions play a crucial role in shaping loyalty and positive brand perception. These findings offer insights for e-commerce practitioners to optimize live shopping as a strategic tool for fostering sustainable consumer trust.
