Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi modul kimia konteks Termokimia berbasis Environtment Discovery Learning (EDL). Hasil observasi menunjukkan, peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Jayapura memiliki nilai kimia yang cukup baik, namun masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi. Hasil penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar kimia konteks termokimia berbasis (EDL) yang direkonstruksi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah tahapan model education reconstruction (MER) yaitu kelayakan bahan ajar, uji skala terbatas, serta tanggapan guru dan peserta didik. Angket validasi ahli terdiri dari validasi konten materi, media, dan bahasa. Nilai validasi expert judgment konten materi sebesar 69.49%, (layak digunakan), media sebesar 63.89% (layak digunakan), bahasa sebesar 86.36%, (sangat layak digunakan), dan nilai rata-rata expert judgement dari ketiga validator sebesar 73,24 % (layak).  Nilai tanggapan guru terhadap modul sebesar sangat positif sebesar 62.4%  dan positif sebesar 37.6%., tanggapan siswa sangat positif 62.4%, positif sebesar 37.6%. Tes yang dilakukan kepada peserta didik menggunakan 30 butir soal pilihan ganda pre test dan post test dengan hasil n-Gain sebesar 0,5 termasuk pada kategori sedang artinya terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Environment Analogy-Based Discovery Learning to Improve Students’ Environment Literacy and Understanding on Thermochemistry. This research is the result of the implementation of thermochemistry learning based on the reconstruction of the analogy environment-based discovery learning model (DLBAE). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the DLBAE learning model in thermochemical context chemistry lessons at SMAN 4 Jayapura students. The research method is the result of experimental treatment analysis which is divided into two groups (conventional control model and experiment with DLBAE model). The results of the implementation showed that the analysis test of sig (2.tailed) 0.05, indicated that there was a significant difference between the conventional model and the DLBAE model. Based on the acquisition of the average chemical value of the experimental class 77.05 from the control class 64.64. Meanwhile, the percentage of environmental literacy ability is between 80-90%. Student response to DLBAE-based thermochemistry learning was very positive. Based on the results of the analysis, the DLBAE-based learning model is very effective to use, in order to increase understanding of concepts and environmental literacy. Keywords: discovery learning, analogy, environment literacy. Abstrak: Pengaruh Pembelajaran Discovery Berbasis Analogi Lingkungan untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan dan Pemahaman Termokimia Siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan hasil implementasi pembelajaran termokimia berdasarkan rekonstruksi model discovery learning berbasis analogy Environtment (DLBAE). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran DLBAE pada pelajaran kimia konteks termokimia pada siswa SMAN 4 Jayapura. Metode penelitian merupakan hasil analisis perlakuan secara eksperimen yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok (Kelas Kontrol dengan model konvensional, serta eksperimen dengan model DLBAE). Hasil implementasi menunjukkan uji analisis sig (2-tailed) 0,05, menunjukkan terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan antara model konvesional dan model DLBAE. Berdasarkan perolehan nilai rata-rata kimia kelas eksperimen 77,05 dari kelas kontrol 64,64. Sedangkan persentasi kemampuan literasi lingkungan berada diantara 80-90%. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran termokimia berbasis DLBAE adalah sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, maka model pembelajaran berbasis DLBAE sangat efektif digunakan, guna peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan literasi lingkungan.Kata kunci: pembelajaran discovery, analogi,  literasi lingkungan. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jppk.v11.i1.2022.01

Abstract

This research examines the impact of implementing digital literacy on chemistry learning for Muhammadiyah High School students in Jayapura City. In today's digital era, technology plays an important role in education, and digital literacy is an increasingly relevant skill. The data collection technique in this research was carried out using test techniques. The research results show that the use of digital technology in chemistry learning also contributes positively to student learning outcomes. This can be seen in the posttest scores obtained by the average student score of 67.86 in the experimental group and 77.68 in the control group. These findings provide empirical support for the importance of digital literacy in modern education.

Abstract

Research has been conducted at the Chemistry Education Laboratory on the determination of reduced sugar levels in sugarcane (Saccharum Officinarum) originating from Nimbokrang, Jayapura Regency through an iodometric titration process. The purpose of this study is to determine the reduced sugar content in sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) originating from Nimbokrang, Jayapura Regency. By knowing the reduced sugar content in sugarcane, people can process sugarcane not only as yard plants, but can be used as more effective plants. This research is experimental by describing the data of research results and literature studies. Sugarcane juice samples were then analyzed using the Luff-Schoorl method. The results of the analysis obtained the reduced sugar content in sugarcane from Nimbokrang, Jayapura Regency, which was 21.8817 g in 100 grams (21.8817 %) of sugarcane water. With a fairly high reduced sugar content, sugarcane juice can be used as a complement to alternative energy sources.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of chemical concepts and digital literacy through Hybrid On-Site E-Learning (HoSEL) with a focus on the structure, nomenclature, and applications of organic compounds. This type of research is mixed methods. The participants consisted of 38 eleventh-grade science students from MA DDI Jayapura, divided into control and experimental groups. The participants consisted of 38 students of grade XI IPA MA DDI Jayapura who were divided into control and experimental groups. The control group followed a conventional teaching model (without HoSEL), while the experimental group was taught using the HoSEL model. The research instrument used a test given at the beginning and end of learning. The analysis of the research data used inferential statistics and the N-Gain test. The results of the analysis showed that before the implementation of HoSEL, students' understanding of chemical concepts was already at a very good level, but their digital literacy achievements were still very low (0.12). After the implementation of HoSEL, there was a significant increase in both conceptual understanding and digital literacy (p <0.001), which showed the effectiveness of the model, especially with high N-Gain on digital literacy (0.79). In addition, 85.5% of students responded positively to the use of the HoSEL model, making it a recommended approach for chemistry education, especially in the Papua region
