Abstract

The consumption of cayenne pepper tends to increase every year which is not balanced with the amount of national production, so a solution is needed so that the productivity of cayenne pepper can increase. Increasing productivity can be done through the use of organic fertilizers, namely GSA (Gibberellin Cytokinin Auxin). GSA stimulates the growth of roots, stems, leaves, branches, flower and fruit development, prevents aging, and helps seed germination. The purpose of this study was to determine the cultivation of cayenne pepper with the addition of GSA (Gibberellin Cytokinin Auxin) hormones and to analyze the farming efforts of cayenne pepper cultivation. This research was conducted in Pager Jurang Hamlet, Kepuharjo Village, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research methods include field practice, observation and interviews. Conventional cayenne pepper cultivation activities on beds include preparation of planting media, sowing, planting, maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest. Cultivation activities of cayenne pepper through the use of GSA hormones. Environmental conditions have a temperature of 22.5°C-28.4°C, humidity of 62.5%-85.2%, light intensity of 1845-3270 lux, altitude of 699 meters above sea level, and regosol soil type. The productivity of cayenne pepper is 62.26 kg during 14 harvests. The selling price of cayenne pepper tends to fluctuate by IDR 34,000/kg (April), IDR 23,000/kg (May), IDR 33,000/kg (June), and IDR 43,000/kg (July). Analysis of cayenne pepper cultivation farming can be said to be feasible or profitable with an R/C ratio of 1.17; B/C ratio of 0.17; and ROI of 17%. The farming ratio can be greater if the selling price is above the BEP price

The many variations in attributes in melons that influence consumer preferences for purchasing this melon are the basis for the importance of this study. The total number of respondents in this study was 80 respondents. This study is a study of consumer preferences for purchasing melons in Surakarta. The attributes analyzed in this study are: taste, weight, aroma, fruit texture, fruit color, water content, shape, net skin lines, and price. The data analysis method was carried out by validity testing, reliability testing, analysis using the chi-square method. The results showed that all attributes in this study were said to be significant for consumer preferences for purchasing melons. The sweet taste of melon is the most important attribute in purchasing melons. The fragrant and refreshing aroma typical of melons and the bright orange color of the flesh, and the crunchy texture of the fruit are three important attributes in purchasing melons. Abstract

Papaya is a horticultural commodity with many benefits and high economic value for the people of Indonesia. California papaya is a favorite variety in Indonesia due to its various advantages. Effective and agroecological cultivation techniques are needed to increase production. This study aims to determine the optimal dosage of mycorrhizae and manure in increasing papaya plant growth. This study was conducted in the dry land of Tawengan Village, Sambi District, Boyolali Regency, at 180 m above sea level. The research used a factorial Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with 3 blocks as replications. The first factor was mycorrhizae with 3 levels: 0 g/plant, 75 g/plant, and 150 g/plant. The second factor was manure with 4 levels of application doses: 0 kg/plant, 3 kg/plant, 6 kg/plant, and 10 kg/plant. The results showed that the application of mycorrhizae and manure can improve the characteristics of plant height, stem diameter, and crown width. The mycorrhizal application dose of 150 g/plant and the application of 5.7 kg/plant of manure is the optimal dose to increase papaya growth, which will support increased production.
