Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the impact of engaging in the Seren Taun ritual at the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark (CPUGGp) on tourist loyalty, with an emphasis on Memorable Tourism Experiences (MTEs) within three indigenous communities: Ciptagelar, Sinaresmi, and Ciptamulya. This study investigates how MTEs influence tourist loyalty by exploring destination image, visitor engagement, and cultural interaction. A quantitative method was utilized involving 200 participants who attended Seren Taun, with data collected through Google Forms. The application of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through the PLS technique, utilizing SmartPLS 4.0, facilitated the assessment of reliability, validity, and correlation analysis. The results demonstrate that MTEs play a crucial role in improving destination image and fostering cultural interaction, yet they do not markedly boost visitor engagement. The influence of MTEs on loyalty intention is significant, underscoring the importance of enhancing destination image and cultural engagement to promote the growth of cultural tourism in Geoparks. The research highlights the significance of cultural interaction and MTEs in fostering tourist loyalty. Rituals such as Seren Taun enhance visitors' ties to the local culture and encourage sustainable tourism, positively impacting local economies.

Abstract

Financial distress is when a company experiences difficulty fulfilling its obligations or struggles to pay off its obligations, which requires the company to take corrective action. This research aims to determine the accuracy of prediction models for coal sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2018-2022. This research analyzes company financial reports using secondary data collection techniques. The variables studied are the profitability ratio, which consists of Return on Assets, Gross Profit Margin, and Net Profit Margin. The object of this research is companies in the coal industry sub-sector. This prediction model predicts 18 company data from 32 samples tested, so prediction errors occur in 5 observation data samples. This model can predict companies, where 18 companies predicted not to experience financial distress and five companies predicted to experience financial distress due to the Return on Assets (ROA) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) values.

Abstract

Purpose – This study analyzes the influence of financial knowledge on students' investment intentions, with financial attitude as a mediating variable. In the context of the increasing importance of financial literacy among Generation Z, this research explores how financial education shapes the investment behavior of students enrolled in capital market courses at Widyatama University. Methodology/Approach – This study employs a survey of 200 undergraduate students taking capital market courses. The analysis is conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to examine the relationships between financial knowledge, financial attitude, and investment intention. A 5-point Likert scale is used to measure the studied variables. Findings – The results indicate that financial knowledge significantly influences students' financial attitudes, which in turn positively impact their investment intentions. Mediation analysis confirms that financial attitude plays a key role in linking financial knowledge to investment intention. While financial knowledge directly affects investment decisions, students with a stronger financial attitude are more motivated to invest. Novelty/Value – This study provides deeper insights into the investment behavior of university students in Indonesia by highlighting the mediating role of financial attitude. The findings suggest that financial literacy programs should not only focus on increasing knowledge but also on fostering a positive financial attitude to encourage active participation in the capital market.

Abstract

Purpose –Pangandaran is still the prima donna of beach tourism in West Java and a favorite tourist destination for domestic tourists so that the Pangandaran area becomes one of the leading tourist areas that has the potential to become a Global Geopark area. This condition is in line with Pangandaran's strength as a mainstay natural tourist destination in West Java which displays aspects of its geodiversity through unique and distinctive rock formations and natural phenomena. Geopark status owned by an area is expected to be able to increase the number of tourist visits that contribute to local economic development. However, there is an imbalance in the visits of domestic tourists and foreign tourists to the Pangandaran tourist area. Methodology/approaches –The method used in this study is verification with the population, namely tourists who have visited the Pangandaran Tourism Area throughout 2021 at least once. The analytical method used is Spearman's rank correlation, the coefficient of determination, and the t test with a significance level of five percent. Findings –This study supports previous studies where the destination image has an influence on the behavioral intention of tourists with a magnitude of 62.09%.
