Abstract

Tujuan penelitian  untuk mendeskripsikan dominasi patriarki terhadap perempuan dan sikap serta keputusan perempuan atas dominasi patriarki yang dialaminya dalam  Cerita Calon Arang (CCA) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi atau konten. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk-bentuk dominasi patriarki dalam CCA dapat dilihat dari tiga bagian, yakni (1) Status sosial perempuan dalam masyarakat, (2) Kondisi inferior perempuan, (3) Relasi perempuan dan laki-laki dalam CCA. Adapun, sikap-sikap perempuan terkait dominasi yang dialaminya dilihat dari gugatan perempuan. Status sosial, kondisi inferior, dan relasi masing-masing perempuan dengan tokoh lain di dalam CCA telah membentuk sikap-sikap yang berbeda. Sikap masing-masing perempuan dalam CCA dengan kedudukannya telah menyebabkan gugatan yang dilakukan berbeda-beda pula. Calon Arang sebagai tokoh utama dalam CCA telah menjadi ikon yang  menggugat masyarakat dan pihak kerajaan atas kondisi inferior yang dialaminya. Lain halnya dengan Ratna Manggali yang mewakili perempuan dengan penerimaannya atas status dan kondisinya di dalam masyarakat. Gugatan lain juga ditunjukkan oleh Wedawati yang memilih untuk tidak menikah dan menjadi pertapa perempuan. Selanjutnya adalah sikap yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh Ibu Tiri Wedawati yang turut melanggengkan kondisi inferior perempuan dengan mengamankan posisinya dalam keluarga. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah bahwa CCA banyak menunjukkan peristiwa-peristiwa yang dapat dianalisis dengan perspektif feminis sastra terkait dengan kedudukan dan peran perempuan dalam karya sastra. Kata kunci: Kedudukan perempuan, dominasi patriarki, feminis sastra, cerita Calon Arang karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer.

Abstract

This research reveals the american state's political strategy in managing the law for citizens, as well as citizen resistance in the American political and legal space in Pengacara Jalanan. The research question asked is (1) what is the life form of homeless politically and legally?; and (2) how does homelessness act to save his life in the political and legal space of the country? This problem of biopolitic space (politics and law) was analyzed using Giorgio Agamben's theory of political philosophy manifested in the concepts of sovereign power, bare life, and homo sacer. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data is collected through library studies and listening techniques. Data analysis is carried out by content analysis: data reduction, data classification, and data analysis. The results of the study are (1) homeless life experiences ambivalence because it is inside the legal space of the country, as well as being outside the state law because of the impact of political suspension of the law. The ambivalent life of homelessness results in the death of homelessness as a legal-juridical prevalence; (2) The act of homelessness to obtain a happy form of life is realized by moderate actions and radical actions, both of which are faced with sovereign power. John Grisham's novel Pengacara Jalanan is a representative critique of America's democratic pattern of governing the social body and political body of its citizens.

Abstract

This study examines the novel Mati, Many Years Ago by Soe Tjen Marching which presents various bodies of postcolonial society subjugated by colonial discourse. The problem of this research is that among these bodies a new body form emerges as a form of resistance. The question of this research is How is the construction of the body in the novel Dead, Many Years Ago? This issue is discussed using Sara Upstone's concept of body and Foucault's body discipline. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data was collected through literature studies and note-taking techniques. Data analysis is done by content analysis: data reduction, data classification, and data analysis. The results of the study, namely 1) The body of postcolonial society is subdued through violence that regulates the body through discourse of racism, sexuality, to silencing which leads to death. 2) There is resistance from one body through an ambiguous body, that is, a body that cannot be defined as a living body or a dead body. The condition then caused chaos because it was detached from the colonial discourse that was generally attached to a solid body. The presence of ambiguous bodies provides opportunities for the possibility of re-questioning, criticizing and countering colonial discourse. So that the novel Mati, Many Years Ago can be said to be a representative critique of colonial discourse that still controls former colonies even though they have become independent.

Abstract

This article analyses the construction of discourse in the film Like & Share directed by Gina S. Noer. This research is qualitative with Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis as the theoretical framework. theoretical framework. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the film Like & Share presents a discourse of women's resistance to patriarchal values & stereotypes in society. society. Like & Share presents a discourse of resistance by by presenting the position of female subjects who are subordinated by patriarchal values. patriarchal values. In addition, the early part of the film seems to agree with the concept of male gaze both at the visual level & in the film dialogue. The film's visuals emphasise on women's bodies while the dialogue presents women's perspectives on patriarchal values patriarchal values. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam cerpen "Maskapai Liong Mabur" karya Sujiwo Tejo. Cerpen tersebut merupakan bentuk transformasi dari teks hipogram yang terdapat dalam lakon wayang Gatotkaca Winisuda. Berdasarkan analisis, Sujiwo Tejo meneruskan dan melakukan penyimpangan terhadap naskah hipogram. Penerusan dan penyimpangan teks tersebut digunakan sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan kritik sosial kepada pemuda Indonesia. Sujiwo Tejo menjadikan Gatutkaca sebagai sosok idealis bagi pemuda Indonesia. Hal tersebut karena tokoh Gatutkaca diciptakan oleh penyair Jawa secara sempurna sebagai pribadi yang kuat, sukses, dan produktif. Selain itu, melalui sudut pandang tokoh Gatutkaca yang hidup di zaman kerajaan dan zaman modern, Sujiwo Tejo melakukan kritik sosial kepada masyarakat. Sujiwo Tejo menyayangkan sikap masyarakat Indonesia yang latah terhadap tren/isu, terlalu santai dalam menghadapi perubahan, dan mulai melupakan ilmu bertahan hidup di alam karena kecanggihan teknologi.
