Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik TKKS dan inokulasi Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) serta memperoleh dosis yang optimum terhadap pertumbuhan bibit jelutung rawa secara optimal. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk organik TKKS (0,145; 290 dan 580 g/tanaman) dan faktor kedua dosis FMA Mycofer® (0,5; 10 dan 15 g/tanaman), ulangan sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter penelitian berupa tinggi batang, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, rasio pucuk akar dan persentase akar terkolonisasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multi Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf α = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh nyata pupuk organik TKKS terhadap pertambahan diameter batang dan rasio pucuk akar. Pemberian dosis FMA menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap persentase kolonisasi akar. Pemberian kombinasi keduanya juga menunjukkan pengaruh interaksi yang nyata terhadap tinggi batang dan luas daun. Dosis optimum diperoleh pada perlakuan pupuk organik TKKS 145 g dan inokulasi FMA 5 g. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan untuk menggunakan pupuk organik TKKS dengan dosis 145 g yang dikombinasikan dengan dosis FMA 5 g/tanaman. Kata Kunci : TKKS, pertumbuhan, jelutung rawa, FMA.

Abstract

Plant structure is one of the subjects in biology education program at Jambi University. Based on documentation of plant structure course value, in semester 2015/2016 is known that 64.47% of students have not achieved good grades. One material that is quite difficult is stem material, it is known that the number of foreign terms in the text book makes students feel difficult. One of the learning media that can be used is e-book, e-book contains electronic information in the form of text, images and audio packaged. This research aims to develop an ebook based android smartphone as biology learning media, also to determine the feasibility and response of students and lecturers to developed e-book. This study uses the ADDIE model with qualitative and quantitative data. In the validation step by media experts, the final percentage was 100%, the validation by the product experts gained a percentage of 89%. Furthermore, the product was tested on students consisting of 8 small groups and 24 large groups. The response of students in the small group trial got a percentage score of 89% with the criteria of "Very Good" while the large group received a percentage of 83.14% "Very Good". In the experiments conducted by lecturers, the course on plant structure obtained a percentage of 89% "Very Good". Thus it can be said that the media get a positive response and can be accepted in the learning process. Based on the research that has been done it is suggested that the media can be used when learning takes place or as an independent learning material for students so that it is easier to understand the material and can be used as a complementary learning material for lecturers on plant structure courses.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada pembelajaran biologi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen sesungguhnya (true eksperimental).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan pada setiap pertemuannya yaitu memperoleh persentase 78,16 % pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memperoleh persentase 73,14 %. Untuk KPS siswa yang paling tinggi adalah kegiatan merencanakan percobaan dan mengkomunikasikan sedangkan aspek KPS siswa yang paling rendah adalah kegiatan berhipotesis. Dari hasil uji statistik diperoleh thitung=4,7984 dan ttabel=1,89893, dengan thitung> ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat diperoleh simpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada pembelajaran Biologi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

The main goal of learning physics is to understand physics concepts in-depth and apply them in the problem solving process. This article presents a synthesis of what students do when solving physics problems. The five topics discussed in this article consist of: (1) the difference between expert and novice in problem solving, (2) Physics Problem Solving Approach, (3) the use of examples in problem solving, and (4) the use of representation in physics problem solving. This article is the result of studies of problem solving research literature. Each topic section will be discussed related to the development of research results for each topic and problem solutions for future research. Although we do not limit the year as the reference source for this article, most of the reference sources are taken from the research of the last 20 years on solving physics problems.

Abstract

This research aims to study the response of lettuce on the  application of a variety of biological fertilizers and biological agents. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse School of Agriculture, University of Andalas Padang, between April and September 2008. This study using Completely Randomized Design with factorial  of two factors. Factor I is type of biofertilizer (a1: TKTH, a2: JPTH, a3: SKCT, and a4: ATCT) and factor II is the type of biological agent (b1: FMA, b2: Pf, b3: Bb, and b4: FMA + Bb + Pf). Observation parameters include: plant height, root length, and fresh weight of lettuce. Observations show that there is interaction between biological fertilizers with different types of biological agents on the growth of lettuce. The highest plant (29.33 cm) was observed on the treatment of biological fertilizers SKCT with a mixture of biological agents (FMA + Pf + Bb).  The longest lettuce roots was obtained on the treatment of biological fertilizers  SKCT with biological agents Bb, however the treatment did not differ significantly from AMF + PF + BB (19.67 versus 19:00 cm). While the heaviest of fresh lettuce (99.68 g / plant) is obtained on the treatment of ATCT biological fertilizers combined with FMA biological agent.

Abstract

Jamur Tiram Putih merupakan jamur yang paling banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia karena mengandung protein nabati tinggi sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber protein dibandingkan dengan jenis jamur lain. Berdasarkan kebutuhan dan tempat hidupnya maka Jamur Tiram Putih (Pleurotus ostreatus) juga membutuhkan media yang efektif dalam menentukan pertumbuhan jamur. Media tanam jamur tiram harus mengandung lignin atau serat kasar, selulosa, karbohidrat dan serat yang dapat didegradasi oleh jamur menjadi karbohidrat yang kemudian dapat digunakan jamur untuk sintesis protein. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa SMAN 1 Tanjung jabung barat terkait pemanfaatan limbah serbuk gergaji sebagai media budidaya jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus). Pelaksanaan workshop dilakukan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Subjek kegiatan ini adalah siswa SMAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat berjumlah 25 siswa. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dengan persentase sangat mengetahui 64%, Mengetahui 16%, dan cukup mengetahui 20%. Begitupula pada tingkat pengalaman siswa didapat persentase kegiatan sangat memuaskan 60%, Memuaskan 28% dan cukup memuaskan 12%.
