Abstract

To overcome these problems, our team, initiate the establishment of SMEs involving students at the Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School through diversification of dairy-based processed products and bakery products. Introduction of some lectures including bakery products technology, milk processing technology, packaging and storage technology, food quality assurance and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), product trials and training activities are carried out offline at the Food Production and Training Center (FPTC), Universitas Brawijaya. The new SMEs empowerment of students and provide additional income for the Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School to be financial independence.

Abstract

Microencapsulation is one of the techniques used to protect and increase the stability of bioactive compounds contained in natural materials, such as purple sweet potato. Purple sweet potato variety Antin 3 contains various phytochemical compounds that have potential as a source of antioxidants, but these compounds are easily degraded by external factors. This study aims to evaluate the differences in phytochemical characteristics of microencapsulated purple sweet potato variety Antin 3 with chitosan and alginate dressing materials. Microencapsulation was done using spray drying method and characterization was done by measuring total phenol content, antioxidant activity, and anthocyanin. The research method used is an experimental method with a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of one factor, namely the difference in coating materials: chitosan and alginate. The results showed significant differences in phytochemical characteristics between the two coating materials, where alginate produced microencapsulation with higher levels of anthocyanin and total phenolic phenol compounds. However, results encapsulated with chitosan showed higher antioxidant activity although not significantly different. Alginate microencapsules also had smaller and more uniform particle size. These findings may provide further information regarding the choice of coating materials in the development of more stable and effective purple sweet potato-based products. Keywords: microencapsulation of phytochemicals, bioactive stability, characterization of phenolic compounds

Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out the technique of sewing eyelashes on asymmetric eyes for Minang traditional bridal makeup, and 2) find out the results of make-up using eyelash sewing techniques on asymmetric eyes for Minang traditional bridal makeup. This research method uses quantitative descriptive with a quasi-experimental research design with a one shoot case study approach. The research instrument used was observation with a total of 30 observers including 6 expert panelists and 24 trained panelists. The results of this study were obtained, including the application of eyelash sewing techniques to asymmetric eyes reaching 100%. The results of the application of the eyelash sewing technique on asymmetric eyes for Minang traditional bridal make up got the following scores: Neatness of eyelash sewing technique with a score of 3.76, Smoothness of eye makeup with a score of 3.83, Symmetry of eye makeup with a score of 3.4 The overall makeup compatibility with a score of 3.63 and the suitability of eye makeup with the choice of clothing colors with a score of 3.83.Keywords: Eyelash Sewing Technique, Asymmetric Eyes, Minang Traditional Bride

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the law enforcement against immigration violations in the area of the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office in Agam and the factors that hinder law enforcement against immigration violations. The method used in this research is descriptive with an empirical juridical type of research, using a qualitative approach. The data was obtained through interviews with the Head of the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section (INTELDAKIM) at the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office in Agam. The research findings indicate that there are difficulties faced by the INTELDAKIM division in processing law enforcement against violations committed by foreign nationals. These difficulties include a lack of personnel in the INTELDAKIM division to handle the cases, as one of the members is currently undergoing training as an investigator, which creates an imbalance between law enforcement and the number of foreign nationals entering the jurisdiction of the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office in Agam. Another challenge is the lack of public attention in reporting violations committed by foreign nationals
